Had the most wonderful experience here for our 51st anniversary. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable, and the food superb. The steaks were the best we’d ever had. We’ll def be back when we return for another getaway to St Augustine.

My husband and I both opted for the 5 course Chef selection that came with a wine pairing for each course. We also opted for the premium wine pairing over the standard. All in all it would come to $200 per person. We where excited as we had heard great things about the food. The atmosphere was perfect and it was a lovely evening to enjoy the outside patio. The ambiance was perfect and my husband and I really enjoyed our table that we were placed at. That is about the only thing we enjoyed unfortunately. 1st seated we were next to the door to get from inside to the patio, I asked to be seated elsewhere because when the door opened it would have literally hit the back of the chair. The second table they sat us at had a nice view from one side but the other was stairing at the door going into the kitchen and a folded up wet floor sign leaning against the wall. We asked to be seated at the the table next to us facing the other direction and we were pleased, it was lovely. Onto the meal of disappointment! 1st course full glass of champagne and a potatoes compote with seaweed and topped with salmon roe. I love salmon roe, very familiar but the combo was so salty it was not enjoyed. It was a tasting size about 4 bites at most. 10 min later 2nd course new full glass of chardonnay to pair with a shrimp dish with 2 large shrimp with pitted olives and some chopped tomato (one of mine was not pitted and ended up chomping right down on it, lucky I did not chip a tooth!)The flavor was fine, nothing out of this world, the amount foresure a tasting plate. 10 min later now a 3rd full glass of wine. 3rd course 15 min later 3rd full glass of wine to pair with a small plate of salad. 3 full glasses in 30 mins). Anticipating our six ounce steak, to soak up the alcohol and fill our bellys, 25 min later our steak gets delivered with a full glass of red wine. Awful wine, replaced with a different, my steak raw inside. Too much alcohol. Size of steak was the circumference of a Nilla wafer

Chop salad was awesome as was the baguette/butter dish...Wagyu strip was unbelievably good for a strip...loved the feel of the place...will be back as we are intriqued by the tasting menu

The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between upscale and welcoming, making it suitable for both special occasions and casual dinners. From the outset, the service is impeccable. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, demonstrating a deep knowledge of the menu and wine pairings. Our server Delaney was particularly skilled, offering recommendations that perfectly complemented our meal. The steaks are the star of the show, expertly cooked to perfection. I opted for the ribeye, which was beautifully marbled and bursting with flavor. Each bite was a testament to the quality of the ingredients and the skill of the kitchen. The wine list (or should I say wine *book*) is extensive and thoughtfully curated, featuring both local and international selections. Michaels is always hands down our favorite dining experience. The staff, food quality and overall atmosphere are second to none. We are St. Augustine natives and active foodies and have never been more impressed by another restaurant than this one! They truly care about their patrons and always leave us excited to come back!

The best meal I have ever had. Yes, it was pricy, but it was worth every penny. The food was melt-in-your-mouth amazing. The service was excellent, dessert was incredible. 10/10 recommend. It was quiet and cozy. We will definitely be returning.

We had a wonderful birthday celebration. We started with the beef appetizer, then Caesar salad, then the Swordfish and Steak Diane and finished off with the key lime dessert. The red wine was great. It was perfect.
