Had wide range of food from steak to meatloaf to mani and all was delicious! Definitely recommend the Our Salad!
Great night out with family
My husband and I really enjoyed our experience at Michael's. The food was delicious and service was excellent. Cliff was our waiter. He was friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive. We will definitely be back!
two birthdays
Food and service was outstanding. It was extremely warm and uncomfortable inside the restaurant and I saw people leave because of this.
Can’t recommend Michael’s or understand how it is considered a “ good spot “ for dinner. Food was poor, ambience is outdated, and service was fair. Dinner for 3 came was over $200 without tip . Very
limited menu. Don’t mind paying for a good meal , we wanted to feel my money was well spent....Not happening at this place.
Have not been at Michael’s for quite sometime and was pleasantly surprised with the improvements to the menu, food, and service.
Still a little pricey but cannot complain.
The food was very good, I had the grouper and my husband had the lamb chops. We sat outside and the outside area is a little run down.
Great food and service!
We visited Key West for our 20th Anniversary and had enjoyed Michael’s on a previous occasion. I checked “Anniversary” on the Open Table app but that was not acknowledged. Ordered a Caesar’s Salad but it was warm and soggy. I was upset afterwards that I didn’t send it back and actually paid for it and the rest of the meal as well. My filet was raw instead of medium rare and had to send it back. Vegetables were cold. The service was non-attentive and slow. I wasted 5,000 well earned Open Table Points on a $25 dining reward for a very mediocre meal. Very disappointed in the whole experience at Michael’s on what should have been a special night.
I haven’t been going because the food has been disappointing but I tried it again to see if it had improved. The food was very disappointing again. I’m done, I’ll spend my money elsewhere.
We celebrated our 25th Anniversary in Key West and we’re looking for a nice restaurant for dinner. Michaels did not disappoint! The service was impeccable, and the food was excellent. The best Key Lime Pie in Key West by our unofficial testing. Definitely would come back to Michaels the next time we come to Key West.
Very attentive, good recommendations. Michal came & checked on us. Kind enough to allow a picture.
Worth the price.
We went to Michaels for my husbands birthday and we had a wonderful meal. The host and hostess made us feel immediately welcome and Isabella was an excellent waitress. We had the beet and goat cheese salad , steak frites, snapper and warm chocolate lava cake for dessert. Everything we had was excellent !
Dinner at Michaels has always been an exceptional experience. We have been visiting for almost 20 years. The food and service keeps getting better. In addition to all of our routine favorites we tried carpaccio. This dish was totally out of our realm. Try this mouthwatering dish. It will also expand your pallet! Key Lime luscious with whip cream. Not overly sweetened. The best in Key West. Say hello to your tentative bartender Mike. Lovely fine dining. ENJOY!
This was our second trip to Key West and returned to Michaels. Everything runs at a fairly slow pace but there's nothing to be in a hurry. Our waiter , Cliff, was very friendly and gave great suggestions. The house salad is the best salad I've ever had. My partner chose the smaller potion of
shrimp pappardelle which was excellent. I chose the small portion of macadamia crusted mahi mahi . It was way over cooked and dry and not as good as the first time I had it. Cliff graciously had the whole meal replaced and the manager was very apologetic. I was also given a very generous slice of Key lime pie to compensate. A fabulous dinner would be salad and the pie. The pie was delicious! Michaels is a nice quieter place with great food and friendly service. It is also nice that now most entrees are offered in half size portions.
Good food, intimate setting. Owner and staff very friendly. Enjoyable experience.
Excellent food and great service. Quaint restaurant minus the craziness of Duval street. Veal chop is scrumptious and the meatloaf delicious. Appetizers are great too. Highly recommend.
The food was like sitting on the beach in Barbados with a local chef cooking up his best traditional recipes as we sat on an old bamboo chair with our toes in the sand.
The waiter was great too.
The staff was very accommodating and made us feel at home. The owner approached our party and asked how things are and checked back after dinner to make sure everything was as good as we expected. We recommend this restaurant to all who travels to Key West.
I had the special. It was pan seared black grouper over mushrooms and artichoke hearts with roumalade sauce. Amazing! The grouper was the best I’ve ever had. Rob had the lite version of meatloaf. Quite tasty. Michael’s version of a wedge salad is topped with delicious house made buttermilk blue cheese dressing. Salad was cold and crisp. I had a reward for a free dessert for my birthday. We chose the carrot cake handmade by Melanie. Really yummy and moist. A terrific dinner.
Wonderful food. Owner came to our table a couple times to make sure everything was perfect
A fantastic restaurant in a beautiful setting. Always enjoy coming back here.
Great food. Steak was perfect
For a restaurant that has received 5 star reviews I strongly disagree. Clearly the chief isn’t in the kitchen overseeing the food preparation but rather cleaning up tables.
Our friend specifically ordered a well done steak entree but after two attempts had to just give up and refuse his dinner. What doesn’t the kitchen understand about well done? The waitress was also a disappointment being more interested in taking a check to a table near by whom she said had a pregnant woman sitting at then correcting the kitchen’s grilling errors...
Don’t bother unless you want to pay top dollar for a mediocre dining experience. YOU CAN ONLY MAKE A FIRST IMPRESSION ONCE and Michaels is far off of a 5 star restaurant!
We regularly visit this restaurant and always enjoy a high standard . The restaurant seems to offer better value than in the past. Their veal chop is awesome . Full of locals which is always a good sign.
Used to be one my favorite places in Key West. Now they struggle to cook a steak. Don’t go unless you are ok with being disappointed.
Server needed training. One person on the group was gluten intolerant and the waiter couldn’t bother to have a piece of mahi mahi grilled as requested. Food was ok. Micheals isn’t fine dining like it used to be What a shame. Hoping Michaels gets back on its game.
Second time in 5 days! We loved the food and the ambience! So relaxing. We sat outside both times and loved it!!
Love going to Michael's. Food tastes amazing. Great atmosphere and the owners are awesome!
I have eaten at Michael's on several trips to KW. The service and ambiance have changed. I like the option of small plates. The service was lackluster at best. We were seated inside, when asked if we could be accommodated outside, I was told no, meanwhile several open tables outside remained opened during our entire meal.
Wonderful food and ambience. Our server Rafe was delightful. Half portions were perfect for a later dinner.
Delicious! Beautiful setting.
Michael's would have been our favorite restaurant in Key West. It was essentially perfect...until my wife's and my fish specials arrived. Mahi Mahi and shrimp, but it was so overcooked, it was like eating breadcrumbs. What a shame. If you can't cook things well, you shouldn't serve them. And for $300 (with tip and a modest bottle of prosecco) - note that we were with our two children as well - you'd hope that the food is cooked the right way.
We were greeted by chef and owner Michael at the entrance. Excellent service, excellent food, excellent dining experience.
We visit Key West yearly and Michaels is on our GO TO list
Gone downhill since last visit, not sure why. Have been going there for last 6 years.
