Michael's House of Prime

Venue changed to ala carte which was disappointing. This has always been our favorite spot for steaks and prime rib. It offered a "supper club" feel with the offering of cheese spread, crackers, ham salad and fresh bread. Meals used to include soup or salad, choice of potato and an additional side. The price I don't believe reflected this change. If this is due to recouping because of Covid-19, I can understand, but our server offered no explanation. She said I don't know why the owners changed it..... The food was still prepared wonderfully.

The restaurant is very small. The bathrooms are tiny and difficult to access because of the tight quarters around the bar. The prices are really high and miss the value mark completely. We’ve patronized this restaurant for years and has been one of our favorites for years but it’s really slipped in my estimation.

our waitress forgot our bread....did not re fill our waters...forgot salad dressing on the side...obviously a training issue...food was very good...the entrees used to include a relish tray....salad and a starch side...no more...everything is now a la carte so bring your wallet.Our surf and turf was 93.00 dollars without a salad or side dish. CRAZY

Family together for 6 yr old daughters birthday. Staff was attentive to birthday girl. Food was the best I’ve had is a while. The Filet was so tender it melted in my mouth. Excellent overall experience.

Food was great! Took a little while for our server to come take our drink order and get things rolling but once she did the service was good. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

we had the prime rib and a steak sandwich on saturday night. both were excellent. unfortunately the place was empty because of the virus scare. please patronize your local establishments so they an remain in business during this difficult time.

Amazing dining experience. Best filet mignon we’ve ever had. Great appetizers, salads, fish, and drink choices. Will definitely be back.

Always a great dinner. Celebrated my birthday with brother and friends. Best prime rib around. End cut was unbelievable.

Had dinner with another couple on Saturday to celebrate a retirement. Got there early and had a drink at the bar where we were met with a warm and friendly reception from the host David Buckley and the 2 lady bartenders. Our table was ready when promised where we all enjoyed the services of Rhonda our waitress. We all had differing dishes from Prime Rib to pasta to salmon and they were all delicious. Michaels is a wonderful old school kind of supper club that is small and cozy but always has delicious offerings and incredibly friendly staff. We will enjoy that ambience again as soon as we can!! Great Food, Great service. Our favorite restaurant in the Milwaukee area. The owners couldn't be friendlier, the service staff goes out of their way to be helpful. Prime Rib is spectacular, everything else on the menu has the same quality, always cooked to perfection. I brought my family there Tuesday night and every meal was perfect!

The wait staff was efficient. The food was very good I had prime rib. Had leftovers for the next day! The Cham tort was amazing. The valet was very courteous.

I wanted to have a special night out with my wife to celebrate our tenth Valentine's Day since we were married. I could not have been more pleased! On the chance that something special could be added, I made a request when I made my reservation. At 3pm on the day of our reservation, one of the owners contacted me and offered to get a bouquet of roses (little did I know she was later to include a vase) for presentation at our table. My wife loved that! She had no idea what to expect and the meal...good grief...the meal!

We both selected prime rib, hers with lobster tail (which was so large it looked like it played in the NFL) and mine with crab legs (split in half and ready for one to devour). We topped it off with our usual cocktails and enjoyed an uninterrupted evening with one another. Did we tip? Oh yes. $200. And I would spend every penny of it again and again and again. The service, food, ambience and intimacy of this experience was second to none. Thank goodness we live near Michael's - we will be back.

In case anyone has suspicion or doubt as to the validity of this review, I make the following comments. First, no one could pay me to extol a restaurant I've never been to, even after I dined there. Second, I have no vested interest in providing commentary that is either laudatory or critical. Third, well, my wife and I have had a long time gone and we couldn't think of a better place that we wish to return to experience the feelings and fun that we had that night. Hats off, Michael's!

Excellent prime rib!

The food was amazing! The service was awesome! Perfect place for a valentines dinner. The sunset over Pewaukee lake was perfect.

Went when they opened. Had a drink in the bar, then they opened the dining area. I had a steak perfectly cooked, my lady friend had surf n turf (would of liked to see the price when ordered, very expensive and very good!!!) Will return.

The dining room was so cold we all wore our winter coats throughout the meal. The streaks were cold halfway through the meal. Very pricey since new ownership took over and cuts of prime rib are smaller. Used to be our go to place for prime rib. Not the case anymore. We will not return or recommend

This place is quite unique in many ways. You get a warm welcome from the staff. Service is good and people really seem to enjoy working there. The steak was like butter. The baked potato was cold. Other than that excellent quality food and nice ambiance.

This was our second visit; we wanted to find out if our first fabulous visit was a fluke. Plus, I wanted my son-in-law to experience the “duke”; he loved it. The night was just as wonderful as the first, our party of six had no complaints. My daughter is gluten-free and our server was exceptional in letting her know what was “safe”. If you are looking for a relaxed, over the top service, great food, look no further, go to Michael's.

A real treat! In the past Michael's was know for it's wonderful Prime Rib, absolutely delicious. The new ownership has expanded the menu and the results are great. The service and friendly atmosphere compliment the food. The owners are always there to greet you, they are really nice people! My favorite restaurant in the area.
