Food is delicious and service very professional
Great lunch! Nice ambiance. Friendly service
Busy and buzzing. A classic spot in the design district and always a solid choice.
Found this place in Departures Miami city guide. Had the brussel sprouts and deviled eggs to start, both excellent. Pastrami sandwich and short rib panini were outstanding. Highly recommend.
Michael’s never disappoints. We have been eating there since it opened and we love it. Lunch, dinner, date, happy hour, it’s all good.
An INSTITUTION. This place was their before the area even got its name or definition. The ambience, food, service, etc... is always top tier. I'm from ATL and I go here (when in town) always.
Always fabulous! The best Burger anywhere always!!!!!
Always a winner! Great setting, service, amazing good.
Both my husband and I were so impressed with the food and service... especially the service. From the busboys to the waiters they all were so pleasant and knowledgeable; unusual for Miami.
We’ve been going to Michael’s since it opened . It is the only restaurant that we visit repeatedly every time that we go to Miami. This time I have to say that some of the things we’ve been constantly ordering at every bunch were different, not bad but differently seasoned. The service and everything else was great.
Food was good, but very expensive. Extremely expensive.
I think they did a great job during valentines night, food was mostly good, just one dish felt like they dropped the whole black pepper bottle on it. BUT, this was one out of 5 dishes that we tried which they were great, also our waitress was super nice and attentive, she offered to get me another dish but being vegetarian didn’t had many options. I would have expected for the dish that I didn’t eat because it was overly done by black pepper was not going to be charge out of courtesy , but it wasn’t which is kind of a disappointment since it should be standard in any good restaurant.
Terrible service Brought wrong order and never cane back
What happened last Sunday at this restaurant has been totally not acceptable: we arrived 10 minutes early than the booking time in order to have the table ready for our guests and we had.
We placed the order and we got the food after one hour and ten minutes, despite our complains.
Many excuses and nor professional service, at the end the bill was very high.
We won't go anymore in this place, very bad experience.
Wonderful as usual
The food was incredible and the place was super cute !! Really liked it and was very content with my dining experience. The only problem I had was the service was bad, our waitress was the worst and super slow.
This food was amazing!!!!
It was not their best day, but it was still good.
Food is delicious!! Esp. The pork belly and Kimchi!! Robin is the BEST!!
Very uncomfortable experience. Our waiter came back to our table 4 times to ask us to adjust his tip. The service was awful and we did not tip 18%.
What more is there to say
Consistent. Conveniently located. Great food outstanding service. :-)
AMAZING FOOD. WE LOVED THAT DISHES WEREN’T TOO BIG SO WE COULD TRY A FEW DIFFERENT PLATES. Shrimp toast delicious. Maple French toast to die for.
It was my wife’s B-Day, I made reservations over a week in advance and was seated outside. Bummers
A nice dining experience in the design district. Great waiter compensated for a kitchen snafu. Comped a couple of dishes and dessert. Food was very good, solid candidates, all.
Service was too rushed and it felt like the waitress was just getting the job done. Very disappointing as I had especially sent a message on how special this reservation was.
Michael's is a great place to bring people from out of town - it is well run, has an appealing menu, and the service is usually quick. This day was no exception although two got the Tuna Bowl which was served composed and without any dressing. The dish did not seem finished and two of us reacted to it the same way.
This was our second trip to Michaels’s Genuine. The first visit was many years ago before the Design District became the bustling luxury destination it is today. We were impressed with impeccable, unmatched, and fluid service with excellent food. Unfortunately, Michael’s Genuine has been resting on its laurels recently as our experience two nights ago was horrible. The braised leeks were absolutely amazing as a starter, along with passable though salty falafel and adequate deviled eggs. Really, try the leeks though. We then waited over 30 minutes for the entrees.... and were not happy. My pasta and my husband’s fries were lukewarm. His burger was good but not exceptional. The good news is that they did remove the pasta from the bill, and tried to help out with complimentary dessert but we had no further interest at that point. We live in West Palm Beach and are on vacation, staying in Midtown Miami and Michael’s Genuine is the first place we thought of when planning our Miami trip. I hope this was a fluke and that if we return our experience will be better.
The short ribs and chicken were very good. Did not love the Veggies - especially the Brussels sprouts. My dirty martini was good.
We loved this place. My hub and I consider ourselves foodies, and Michael's Genuine Food and Drink delivered on every level! We started with a drink and appetizers at the bar, and loved our Saturday evening bartenders/servers so much, we decided to stay there for dinner instead of moving to a table in the dining room. Great choice of wines and cocktails are on the menu. . .we loved the Caponata Pizza (as good as any pizza we've had in Rome--if not better), the deviled eggs and marinated olives, and I even got my hub to eat (and enjoy!) falafel! Tilefish on the menu is exquisite, stone crab claws are amazing!
It’s always a good time and good eats at Michael’s. The rigatoni, ceviche and tilefish curry were delicious. Our server Grover was attentive and very helpful.
Food is always outstanding!!
As always, DELICIOUS! In the mood for some comfort food, our table ordered two cheese burgers and a duck confit. They were very happy. We also ordered gem salads, beet salad (so good and complex), strawberry salad (seasonal local strawberries - the best!), cauliflower and Brussels sprouts. All were really satisfying and yummy. Couldn’t finish it all, but that didn’t stop us from ordering dessert. Great wine list, too. Service is always friendly and excellent.
Always delicious. We've been to Michaels several times throughout the years and it is always great. It's becoming to the Design District what Joe's Stone Crab is to South Beach.
All was good except that the restaurant is alittle under water and the waitress was disappearing but very nice but she needed more help not her fault
Turkey was not fresh but just breast sliced and very dry
Great service as per usual and great food! Always a good time
