The vibe and service was great however the food was subpar. I wouldn’t recommend. It seems like it’s gone a little downhill since last year when it won a Michelin star.

We went to Michael’s to celebrate my wife’s birthday, as it has always been one of our favorite restaurants. Unfortunately the experience was mediocre. We had early (6:30 pm) reservations. We ordered the whole snapper and the short rib, and they were out of both! At 6:30!! I believe their staff should be immediately informed of what is not on the menu and should inform guests immediately. We were comped one dessert, after we had already ordered two and wound up with three desserts. I doubt we will be going back any time soon. Additionally, my son ordered the NY strip steak ($72.00) ordered it medium rare and it came out well done. We returned it and it came out at the correct temperature the second time but by then everyone else at the table was done eating! Ruined the whole experience.

I have not eaten in the restaurant in quite awhile. I had recommended to a friend that we have lunch while out on a shopping day and the entire experience was a huge disappointment.

Food were not only bad but the plates looked dirty and sloppy. It was a total disappointment. We ordered falafel which were practically burned served with a few beets and some dressing looked really unappealing. Hamburger was dry no taste fries were cold and in a minimum amount Two Salads niçoise the tuna looked dirty and the vegetables around it were uneven one plate had a lot of green beans the other practically none one plate had dressing on tuna the other just few dripping It was so bad we left almost everything. And did not want to try dessers. The only pleasant experience with this disastrous meals was the staff !

Quality of food was mediocre at best. Some dishes had basic problems, e.g. overcooked shrimp (hard and chewy), overcooked and mushy pasta, cold lamb (was supposed to be a hot dish).

My first time at Michael’s, great place for lunch. Our server, Dan, was excellent. The pastrami reuben was one of the best I’ve had. A bit noisy when we were there but otherwise, really enjoyed our meal. Will definitely go back again.

I had a reservationat at 9 pm. Since i was late, i call to advise about delay but i was told by the authomatic voice that for 15 minutes they’d keep the table for me. I arrived at 9.11 and they told me that after 10 minutes the table’d be reassigned. I waited 40 minutes to get a table.

The noise level was off the charts. My fish was inedible, dry and salty. My husband’s dinner was also dry and had no taste at all. When the entrees arrived the starter and salad plates had not been removed. We had to pile the dishes up at the end of the table. I’ll never go back there. It’s a shame because before they did all the renovations it was so much better.

Our server Jacob was amazing! He walked us through the menu and made some excellent recommendations. All dishes were great. The spicy lamb and eggplant was especially delicious. Overall an excellent dining experience.

Michael's Genuine has been a go to for us when visiting Miami for years. Our last visit resulted in a poor service experience and honestly we didn't think we would return. We did and although the food was great, the service was terrible. We frequent great fine dining establishments frequently and service has always been important. Our reservation was at 8 and we did not get seated until 8:40 pm. When drinks don't show up for long periods, water does not get filled and your waiter spend most of his time talking to fellow employees you know your in trouble. After waiting 45 minutes between appetizers and our main course, we finally complained to the waiter who told us WE took too long to order and our choices (two very expensive items) took much longer. He then had someone else take over looking after our table. Too bad good food and good service can't go hand in hand at Micheals Genuine - we will not be back.

The restaurant always has great energy and a fun crow. It's a shame our waitress came expressed little to know genuine interest in our experience. It put a damper on what otherwise would have been a wonderful lunch.
