We have eaten there several times over the past 5 years. The food was outstanding! The Kale pizza was amazing! Unfortunately the service was not up to our expectations at Michael’s. It took 20 minutes to have our bottle of cava brought to the table and served. I had to go get the bottle and pour a refill.

Excellent overall: the Miami Spice menu was great value, the Somm Select program on Mondays (50% off selected bottles) was a nice feature, and service was knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. Definitely going back!

The drinks were overpriced and the service was really slow. The food was good but I felt it was very overpriced for what it was. I wouldn’t go back. Also our table was tilted and I had to keep kicking a block they had under it to straighten the table out during dinner multiple times, like 8 times I had to readjust the table. And paper menus that were crinkled up like a used summer packet. I felt like for the price they should have nicer menus. Also the music was just looped drum and snare beat that you would picture from a cartoon depiction of what a modern restaurant would sound like and other royalty free looped dreadful music to make you feel like you’re in a bad dream. It’s like fancy trying to be normal. So it’s normal and overpriced. The food was good though.

Excellent dining experience from beginning to end. From the warm welcome by the hosts, to the great bar service (Jake is awesome!!!), to the restaurant's willingness to accommodate our request to dine inside despite our reservation for an outdoor table, to the balanced attention we received during dinner and the outstanding food, we had a great time at Michael's.

Our service was great. Our meal was fine. We were very disappointed to find out that our gift card was not accepted. It was 5 years old but nowhere did it have an expiration date. Also given the period of 2020-2021 when restaurants were closed and there was discomfort with dining out it’s understandable that it hadn’t been used yet. We have been to MGFD on many occasions prior to 2018 but now have a bad taste in our mouths for it. Doubtful we will go back.

Our party of 5 selected items from the Miami Spice menu. The good choices included the tuna croquettes and bacon wrapped peach appetizers, less so the two small scallops. For mains, the good choice was the excellent pork shoulder, but the fideos with minimal shrimp and octopus was not well received. Both of the desserts were very good. The wine pairing was a nice addition.

Firstly, the ambience and the decor were beautiful. Food: we had the Miami spice menu. It was spectacular. Highly recommend the pork milanese. Desserts were just awesome. Service: like many other restaurants these days, it was close to awful. Our server just went missing halfway and we had to ask another server for the one water refill we got all night. She was helpful but clearly busy with her own tables. Overall, highly recommend and would definitely go back and just hope for better service.

Overall a great experience. Food for the most part very enjoyable, except for the scallops on the Miami Spice menu - tiny, dry, unspectacular in overall taste. This was the first time back in a long time, the new upgraded interior look is very nice.

Pastrami sandwich was amazing but the pasta was bland and did not have much flavor. We really came to this area as we wanted to go to our favorite restaurant MC kitchen for pasta, but since it was close, we settled for Michael's genuine as we've been there before and has great experiences. On this occasion and perhaps because it was a holiday or because of Miami spice, and this pasta is part of the Miami spice choices, the service was absent, and, as stated, formerly, , the pasta was mediocre and the server seemed overwhelmed in his section.

Wow. I really wanted to like this. So disappointing. The servers and managers did the best they could with the HORRIBLE food. What’s going on with the people in the kitchen? You need a complete refresh. How is it possible you don’t know how to cook scallops! Brunt scallops even after returning and cooking again. It’s insane how there could be zero passion in a kitchen yo get it right.

We had the Miami Spice menu. The portions were extremely small. I left hungry. The wine by the glass at $40 for o oz for a Sauvignon Blanc was ridiculous. Vibe is good and food was delicious but a terrible value.

I ordered off the Miami Spice menu. I ordered the scallops, pork shoulder and rocotta cake. scallops were in the 1/2 shell and lack luster. It took a long time for the pork shoulder to come to the table, I had to ask why so long, and when is did it was dry, tough, lacked flavor...almost inedible except I had waited so long I didn't sent it back. I did tell the waiter. They didn't make any accomodiation on the check. The stratiatella and peaches, tumeric & ginger beverage as well as the rocotta cake were all very good. If the pork shoulder takes 35-40 min to cook waiter should tell customer when ordering. MGF has lost its luster.

I have been Michael’s customer since 2018 when the Design District was just taking off. Every time we are in town, we eat there because we love the food, the ambience and the service. However, it is disappointing to see how the portions keep getting smaller and smaller, and of course more expensive as everything in Miami. I guess is just less value for money.

Had a great experience. Food was on point very well executed Service was a little off considering the location an quality of food. Host was great and, sommelier was great server wasn’t aware of our table. Runners didn’t leave the proper utensils and we had to wait minutes until server realized or even saw our table. The proper of this comment is for managers to enforce servers and runners comunicacion and training.

Worst food in Miami. Tasted like someone opened a pepper shaker and poured it all over our meal. Bartender pretty scatterbrained. Drinks more ice than alcohol. Extremely overpriced. Very disappointed.

Kitchen was extremely slow, waited over 30 minutes for main course after appetizer one of which was minuscule ( Miami spice menu) Bathroom was very dirty and no toilet paper. Expect better in an expensive restaurant. On a bright note the live jazz was very good.

Had to wait a few minutes before greeted by hostess as she was not there upon arrival. At first service was flowing well until we waited for our main courses which took about 30 minutes after our appetizers. Having to ask for a water refill is also a nuisance while dining. I was glad they offered a Miami Spice menu on the weekend with a good value. I would definitely come back for the Crispy Pork Belly. One of the best I’ve tried.

Great location in design district. The menu changes throughout the day so make sure to view all their menus (Afternoon, Dinner, Brunch, and etc.) before booking so that you can go at the time that you would prefer.
