Arrived only to be told that the restaurant was closed for the evening, despite all the tables being set. Server said he called me 3 nights prior to advise me, which was clearly a lie since I’d only booked it 2 nights prior. Very disappointing.

I had an AMAZING late dinner, but my dessert was cut short. I enjoyed a petit steak with twice baked potatoes from the restaurant week menu. The specialty cocktails were delicious, I settled on the Cold Spring. The atmosphere was wonderful, BALCONY seating is the best!!! The waiter, servers and hostesses were professional and accommodating. Unfortunately, before would could try dessert an unforseen emergency took place. The managerial staff was the picture of grace under pressure. We were safely evacuated and out dinner ticket was taken care of. I will most certainly go back again, I look forward to it.

We ordered the Restaurant Week Dinner Menu and we were not so happy. First they had no more scallops, then they had no apple crumble cake and at the end they were running out of cheese cake. No compensation at all. Had to pay my (bad) $ 5,50 Espresso. Very disappointing.

Servers were not attentive. The first one poured water for the table, and then we didn't see him again for the rest of the night. Had to ask for bread and butter. Another server kept taking the cocktail menu from us every time we ordered a drink. But, the food was okay.

Horrible service.... more than TWO HOURS to eat dinner. Requested a Coke not once, not twice, but THREE times. Because one course was so slow to appear, others piled up and got cold. I won't return.

I had dinner, alone, the other day at Michael Jordan's Steakhouse when I was in NY for business. I make it a point to eat there whenever I am in the city, because the service and food is always exceptional. Besides great steaks, they have other fish and pasta dishes that are excellent. It happened to be New Your Restaurant week and they had a very reasonably priced, $42, (for NY) fixed three course price menu with several choices. For a change, I had the salmon, and it was delicious, moist and tender. Again, I was not disappointed. The ambiance overlooking the main hall of Grand Central Station also is wonderful and especially spacious. If you are claustrophobic (which I am not), then this is the place for you! If you are not, everything else should appeal to you, unless you like dark intimate dining, which is not the case there, though I have taken my wife on several occasions and we were able to be as close and intimate as we wanted. Despite the location, it is not very noisy and tables are far enough apart (unlike many NY restaurants) to feel uncrowded.

I thought the food was very good and I also enjoyed looking down over Grand Central Station from our table. It did get a bit noisy when the announcements were made for Metro North, but that has to be expected given the location. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. No complaints.

Birthday meal for a friend - she likes steakhouses and since it was Restaurant Week we figured it would be more affordable. Unfortunately the service was appalling and the food equally bad and very poor value for money. We were ignored for about 25 minutes and then when finally a waiter attended to our table we asked to taste a couple of wines by the glass, as we were going to get a bottle but wanted to taste first. We didn't like either of the first two selections so asked to taste a couple more and selected one of those, asking for a bottle. About 30 minutes later, after we'd already been in the restaurant for an hour, no orders taken, we got 4 glasses of wine, not a bottle. Another 15 mins passed before orders were taken. Only 3 of 4 starters arrived together, we had to ask after 5 mins for the salad that hadn't arrived. Mains arrived another 20-30 mins later, small dry flavorless steak with one tiny potato about 2 inches in diameter. Overall a horrible experience, and around $90 a person with the glass of wine, tax and tip included, so not good value at all. Would not go back.

Had a wonderful meal! Has lower expectations due to a review I had read on Bloomberg - but a client wanted to go ... said was one of his favorite steakhouses.... and he was right.. excellent food - great service and a line out the door waiting if any no-shows. (Nice doggy bones for sale on way out !)

Petite sirloin steak was soo tender and juicy even thou I had it well done. That potatoe pie was crunchy on outside but mashed potato in the middle. Fried egg PERFECT! Plum tomatoes and smidgen of onion just gave everything a caramelized blend! Mimosa waa DELISHH...ALL I NEEDED WAS ANOTHER ONE😄😄😄😄

We did get the best table on the rail at GCT, however the doors to the street made it chilly at times. Service was spotty, it took a half hour to get our pre-brunch mimosas but the food was very good. Our waiter, although we tipped him well, could benefit from being more attentive. It’s a great meeting spot and people watching venue, and the food is excellent.

Your service and staff are impeccable. However, your Appetite RS need a touch up. The dressing for the lettuce wedge is bland. As we're your crab cakes. Over whelmed with bread stuffing. The cut off meat rib eye was not tenderize adequately. Was only disappointed in the taste of your food. Presentation was very appealing.

Food is absolutely amazing but the service needs a little work we arrived and the lady at the front told us to go to the back we went to find a rude lady like a gard dog ready to attack us then to pointed us to the restrooms we responded we had a reservation so then she pointed to a table so we went and sat waiting over 15 minutes for service other people who were coming in after us were being served and we are waiting we then asked for a manager and he was delightful and changed our experience around The food is amazing and worth going

We have visited this place many times before and we love the surroundings and the atmosphere of Grand Central Station. The staff at MJs are good and service good, the food and menu though is a little tired. Steaks are not as good quality as the past. Not sure if the sourcing of the meat has changed but it was all pretty tasteless and between us we had Sirloin, Fillet Mignon, Ribeye. None of the steaks were very tasty. The appetisers were the same and rather bland. It’s a shame but the menu needs re-invigorating and the meat needs a better source.

Took my family on mid pm New Year’s Eve, we are steaks lovers, so we ordered steaks for all three; for my taste it was good, for my lady a little spicy on the outside but good in the inside. Happy to find a good eating place on that busy day. The little one was looking around to see Michael Jordan ... lol...very friendly place, most appreciated though

V disappointing. I booked a table a month in advance & sent a note that we were visiting to celebrate my birthday and our 20th wedding anniversary. I asked for a romantic table overlooking the concourse. The traffic was so bad we had to abandon our cab & walk 6 blocks in -7c. We arrived on time & were told by a female ‘host’ that there was only one table left-they’d overbooked and we could take it or leave it - and if another table did become available they’d tell us. No-one acknowledged either event in our lives & we were dumped at a table with a dirty table cloth. My wife asked for this to be changed. We were then left without even a drink for 20mins. Eventually my wife asked if they could take a drinks order for us. The man in a suit seemed surprised, but asked us what we wanted. After a while he came back and said the wine we’d ordered was unavailable. My wife asked what was similar. He said “Well the rosé is a sweet wine”(wrong!) then offered us a prosecco at the same price. We agreed it was a kind gesture. We came to order starters after asking three times (45mins). My wife ordered the endive salad and pronounced it ‘on-deeve’, which is correct - even I know that😳. The suit said “sorry?” “Oh, you mean the en-dive salad?” My wife apologised.. After a while the starters arrived. Amazing! I can’t recommend the garlic bread enough! It comes with a Gorgonzola fondue. Half way through, a better table had been cleared and my wife asked if it was available. After some discussions between Managers, another suit came over and said “Right! We move now!” We were unceremoniously moved mid-course. V embarrassing. The steaks arrived and we were given each other’s. I had to ask for a glass of red 4 times before it came. When the bill arrived the prosecco was charged at full price. We tipped despite this and were ignored when we left. 2 courses, 1 bottle and 1 glass=$247. Food was fab, front of house, just disgraceful. Special evening = ruined😞. Wish I hadn’t tipped....
