Fri, Sat 5:00 pm–11:00 pm
Sun 4:00 pm–9:00 pm
Great place for MJ memorabilia. Food was good too, but I'd prefer Ditka's down the street for steaks. Service was great!
Excellent location, great food and service, will do it again!
Great looking place inside, customer service stellar. Food alright. Ordered The three-course appetizer, T-bone, asparagus and the street corn. Everything was pretty bland except the steak. By far the worst steak I’ve had in the Oakbrook Area YTD. It was like eating a pound of salt on your steak. I would’ve spoke up but our server was just so amazing. For drinks and watching a game this is the spot. As for food not so much.
Overall decent experience, food was the only really good aspect of the experience.
Server took a while to get to our table, but timely afterwards. Music selection is horrible and too loud, especially in a dining room that was 60% empty the majority of the evening. Servers attire a bit too casual. If I'm paying almost $100 per person for dinner, staffs attire should match that.. Again, food was very good and well prepared.
We had an excellent meal. Our server Sandra was outstanding!
Service was great at usually. We have been here a few times and never disappointed. The food was great and quality for the price. I would even the price was better than what you would pay at a white table cloth restaurant with the same quality food.
Over cooked my steak by a lot, but the flavors were good and the service was great. Definitely recommend the chocolate layered cake.
This location is not as upscale as the downtown location.
I specifically went for the crab cake and bacon. Bacon was very tough and rubbery. The crab cake was the winner.
I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. My parents were celebrating their 68th wedding anniversary and my husband and I were celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary so I chose Michael Jordan's restaurant for our dual celebration. I'm so glad that I chose this place to celebrate our special occasions. Our server Tom greeted us warmly and brought over complimentary champagne for with a card from the restaurant. So very sweet! We ordered the Key West shrimp hush puppies for the table to share. These were deep fried, larger than golf ball sized, hush puppies. There were 7 on the plate with 2 sauces. We all enjoyed these. My husband and I split the tomato mozzarella salad. It was bright and fresh. It wasn't a typical caprese salad as the tomatoes/cheese was served on top of arugula with a slice of grilled baguette. Very good, a nice light salad. The restaurant was kind enough to split the salad on two plates for my husband and I. Very accommodating. My husband ordered the BBQ braised pork shank. It was a very generous portion and the meat just fell off the bone and was moist and tender. I had the Lake Superior whitefish for my entree which was flaky and moist. It had a lemon caper sauce with some almonds. Delicious! My husband and I also shared the chili lime corn side, which had great flavor, was crisp and fresh. Tom provided wonderful service and was attentive. Our busboy Jesus was just as friendly and attentive. Both men really made our dining experience that much better. At the end of the meal, each couple was presented with a complementary anniversary dessert. Again, attention to detail and so sweet. The dessert was a chocolate cake which was decadent and delicious, and the plate said "happy anniversary" in chocolate. MJ's restaurant really made our celebration special. I will definitely be back as the food was fantastic and the service top-notch. This place really knows how to do it well.
The restaurant was really beautiful inside and outside with the fireplace, very cozy and romantic. Parking wasnt bad at all. Had reservations on a Friday night @8, didnt need them, no one was there(first sign)... service was okay,, they were very nice but slowwwwwwwww. Took 15-20min just to get drinks every time we ordered....again it was a slow night.. nothing special about the drinks.... The appetizers were the best-- eggrolls were bomb(fresh&hot), crab cakes were excellent(but cold), chicken wings were delicious. We ordered 3 Ribeyes and some kind of fish, let's jusy say no one was happy with their food. It took prob 45 min to get our food...My husband who ordered med well & got med rare. We dont send back so we all sat at table and basically settled for switching steaks. They literally had no flavor and we didn't get steak sauce(didn't bother to ask, everything took 20 min to get). The steaks were fatty and not even that tender, definitely couldn't figure that out. Fish fry Friday- a waste not to mention warm not hot. The side of corns was absolutely delish, mashed potatoes were runny(ok flavor, but watery)...we should've stuck with appetizers. I was so pumped to go here for my birthday, kinda upset I did, no one was happy with their food, which sucks. We were not impressed at all, I literally took 1 bite of my steak and had it wrapped to go. Go for drinks and appetizers ...for happy hour only.
Nice menu- can be pricey depending on your choice.
The soup was excellent, Caesar salad good and different.
The filet mignon was done medium when I ordered it medium rare. They tried to remedy this by bringing a new steak that was rare not medium rare. I ate it anyway.
My wife had a sliced steak with mushroom and sauce that was very good.
They gave us a complimentary desert for our anniversary which was very nice.
The ambience and the waiter were great.
Birthday was very good service was perfect
Service was great
Calamari was good
Prime Rib was so-so -
Drinks were Ok
Overall just an OK experience -
this was my 3rd time there and I was very disappointed, not sure I would recommend it .
Saturday night and empty, maybe 6 tables were filled - was there from 6:30 - 9:00
Great food and service.
Enjoy dinner at restaurant with family celebrating Fathers Day.
We had a wonderful evening! Even the water was delicious......very courteous and attentive staff, we could tell they all loved their job as they were working the day before on a busy Father's day. The crab cake was outstanding and our filet was extremely tasteful!! If we had ordered the sauce, it would have taken away from the flavor of a fantastic cut of meat.
Highly recommended as we will bring our little grandson for his 1st birthday there as he was named "Jordan Michael"!
I really enjoyed my lunch. I didn't like that I couldn't get the booth seat I wanted (the restaurant was basically empty) when I asked then when I went to the bathroom ten mins later I saw two people sitting in the exact booth I had just asked for and was told a very confusing answer. I get certain waiters have certain sides but there were people on the side I requested. I only wanted it because I have a toddler and it's easier to keep them in their seat in a booth. Overall the food was good and our server was great though so I'd go again.
Great experience. Service was top notch!!
Great fish sandwich and burger.
I been to Ditkas, JAlexanders, Capital Grill, great places. Jordan’s is a place that threw tables and chairs together and banks on you coming in for the name
Great service by Sergio!
Great service. The food is excellent.
GREAT ATMOSPHERE,. FOOD IS GREAT. GREAT LOCATION. SERVICE IS GOOD
Excellent service and quality. This is a hidden gem that is super family friendly too.
Wasn’t enough food on the plate and the menu said salad but it didn’t come with a salad
Not very crowded (the evening after Mem. Day) so the restaurant was very conversation friendly. The drinks were great and our appetizers were awesome ie: crab stuffed shrimp and spring rolls. My wife had the mushroom crusted filet and she raved about it. I had the Delmonico steak (they were out of the bone-in rib eye), I didn’t love it. It was cooked to perfection and the flavor was very good, I just got a tough piece of meat. It happens. Our server was Gregorio and he made the evening a winner. Very friendly and attentive. This was our first time here and I will probably try it again because overall, we enjoyed our evening.
We expected more of a crowd. There were 3 tables of patrons in total. The tables didn’t have table clothes on them - which we found a bit sterile. Our waitress, while very nice was difficult to understand. We won’t be back but the kids did enjoy eating at MJ’s.
We came for my oldest son’s birthday celebration, our server was personable, quite knowledgeable, and checked on us appropriately. Food was cooked well and flavorful, the Waygu meatballs were tasty but spicy which I did not expect.
Food was great! Service was amazing! Cool place to celebrate any occasion or just to have a great meal at a reasonable price! Not to mention the owner is a cool dude!
It was my golden birthday I went with 3 of my friends and the service was awful. We waited one hour for a slice of cake. I already wrote a letter to mj restaurant letting them know. I don’t want to talk about it anymore because it highly upsets me.
Great good and service!!!
We enjoyed dinner for my son’s 11th birthday. He is already asking to go back
It was our first visit and we were pleased with the menu and service.
Food was good but a little pricey. Waiter never told us daily specials and was not attentive. Never refilled our drinks and water. No ice in water
Well first of all being out of Towners the name drew us in to this restaurant. There was a group of 5 of my colleagues for a after 9pm light dinner and drinks. I reserved a table for our group via Open Table and we arrived to pretty much an empty restaurant and bar on a Saturday night. We were promptly seated and we all took a few moments to soak in the atmosphere of MJ’s. Soon our waiter Sergio arrived & poured the glasses of water and took our drink orders. We tried some of the signature drinks and we got a variety of drinks. All were good overall and soon Sergio came back to explain the dinner menu/specials. He kept having to correct himself for giving wrong information and so we felt he wasn’t on his game at our table. Maybe he was tired as it was after 9pm because soon after our orders were placed Sergio was gone! We were all ready for another drink but where was our waiter? No explanation. Our waiter was actually the bartender, his bar was slow enough he said that Sergio was clocked out for the night. All good I guess. Our food was served, we ate, the burger was good one of my colleagues stated. I had the Ceasar Salad, it was good. The annoying thing was every time the bartender came to bring a drink or refill water glasses he reached over my plate of food and another’s plate of food rather than coming around the table to serve without reaching across my space. “Excuse your reaach sir” He was a friendly guy but a little training is needed when he takes over for the waiter in the future. I guess I shouldn’t worry as I won’t be back, I live 1500+ miles away so most likely a one time visit. Overall a nice place to checkout if you remember all of MJ’s greatness. Still one of the all time greats of the NBA. If your an visitor to Chicago like we were, I would say give it a try, prices are $ to $$
Overall the experience was good - food was very good.
The dinner was good but I thought if you were celebrating a birthday, the person would receive dessert? My mom received a Birthday card (thank you) but that’s it. I attended the steakhouse earlier in the month for a birthday. The person received a small birthday dessert. Overall, the experience was nice.
Great service; great food; great staff...very attentive but very accommodating in terms of giving us “space”
Heard good things about this restaurant so I wanted to take some good friends out for dinner. My friend works in Oakbrook so I thought it would be a good choice .
We arrived early so we went to the bar. The bar tender was not the out going friendly type but he did make us good drinks. I asked for a martini that was not on your list and he delivered! The waitress was friendly and thorough. She tried to give the best service possible ! However the
food fare was no more than average . We had your crab cakes which were very good but a little pricey. The tomato soup was acidic and thick like purée not pleasing to the palate at all. The Caesar salads were sub par! I ordered the filet it was cooked to perfection but there was tarragon on it for which I detest! My husband had the delmonico it was over cooked and tasteless . My guest is of Italian heritage and I asked him how he liked the spaghetti and meatballs. His answer was “it’s definitely not like his moms”. We ordered one peanut butter pie. It was just okay
I am sorry I am writing a disappointing review but you asked!
