Went for my Mom's birthday everyone loved their food and we had a great time. Will definitely be back

When we arrived, we were told they did not have us listed for a reservation. I followed up showing them our open table reservation. Then we were told they no longer accept Open Table reservations. However, they had room for us. Our service was quite good & the food very tasty. In our party of 4, we had a patty melt, Reuben sandwich, shrimp, & a burger with no bun. All our food was served as ordered & at proper temperature & attractively plated. We then ordered a piece of pie to share even though we are all on a diet. Delicious.
We were allowed time to visit before we ordered---not rushed & really enjoyed our time there. All in all, what started out as a question, ended up great. We will go back.

It was nice that it wasn't crowed and was quiet, but felt weird sitting among three tables full of food during the photo-shoot.

Always a good dining experience. Our go to restaurant when we want to get together with friends or have a late lunch.

The family went to Michael Forbes for Sunday Brunch and everything was fabtabulous! The service was great as well. The kiddos want to go back very soon.

Early for our reservation, but were seated immediately. Friendly, attentive service and excellent food, reasonably priced. (And it didn't hurt that we found a parking place right in front of the door!)

The appetizer and dessert were superb. The beef entree was very bland, disappointing since I've had it before. Also didn't care for the Caesar salad. A disappointment although my wife's fish dish was pretty good.

We come back here time and time again. Service consistent, same with food. We especially like Jake, the waiter!

Our grilled sandwich came out black. Sent it back. Came out the same way. Manager stopped by our table. Was very short with us and said that is the way it is! He did take it off the bill but we left with out lunch. Pretty disappointed.

We held a business meeting at Michael Forbes and appreciated the ongoing service that was provided. I love the fried catfish there and the apple pie is some of the best in town. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

The food is always great. There were 4 of us and we couldn't hear each other because of the noise level.

We LOVE Michael Forbes for brunch. The à la carte menu is one of our favorites in KC. The eggs Benedict’s never disappoint... especially the new prime rib bennie. And always opt for a 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy to share first. Service is great & it’s never too crowded, even during a game.

My two girlfriends and I had a GREAT time. Our server, Jenny, was the best part! We nicknamed her "Jenny the Gem". On her invitation, we returned Saturday morning for Bloody Marys - they were very good! We had a wonderful time then, too. Very friendly atmosphere - lots of "regulars" that added to the fun.

The food, atmosphere and service is great. The people that work there are very personable.

It was our first time coming on a Passport dining club card. We will be back! We love the homemade chips and dip and the fresh rolls that you brought out. Our meals were delicious too.

I love this place. Our server Jake makes our dining special. The food is awesome and the staff makes you feel like family.

Good food & service

My husband and I went to Michael Forbes for a date night. Unfortunately, we were sat in the bar section. There was a basketball game on and people were yelling at the television. We would have had a much better experience if we could have sat in the restaurant section but it was Restaurant Week, so we were just happy to have gotten reservations on a Saturday night.

Loved everything about my experience here. Food was great. Served hot and in a timely manner. Jake, our server, provided excellent service. Drinks were great and reasonably priced. Ambience was nice and cozy. I will definitely be back. Was worth the drive from Lawrence.

We eat at Michael Forbes a few times every year. We have never been disappointed. The brunch is phenomenal, the selection is Gray, and the price is perfect. Mimosas and bloody Mary’s are always a plus! Dinners and lunch here have never disappointed either.

The hostess was incredibly friendly - made the entire experience start out wonderful. The waiter was attentive and made sure that I got gluten-free food. The food was delicious. Definitely worth the drive and will be visiting again soon!

The restaurant week menu was amazing. My husband and I were lucky to enjoy for 2018. The brussel sprouts were so yummy. We will be back to try their regular menu

We came here for Restaurant Week 2018 and enjoyed the dinner very much! There were lots of options to choose from, including many gluten free options that were clearly marked. Our server was friendly and prompt. I would definitely recommend Michael Forbes to anyone!

The food was delicious. Loved the queso dip, also loved the steak gorgonzola rigatoni that I ordered. I had plenty of food and a masks worth of leftovers.

The food was stellar. Our only complaint was the seating. We were placed at a table right by the kitchen. We think this is because we were there as part of restaurant week. Would have understood if the place was jammed, but we were there at 5:45 and there were plenty of tables available. My wife had the broccoli cheese soup, all though is was very good it had only one broccoli flower. The server didn't ask if we wanted another beverage and he did pass buy us several times. Service was okay, but once again felt like we were being rushed through the courses because we were not paying full price. All that said, the quality of the food will bring us back.

Home madenchip and dip. Wonderful atmosphere. Great service and good Food. Michaels will be on our list to re-visit. Excellent value for the amount of food.

First time there, using the restaurant week to try different places. Nice place. Nice service. Good food. On a cold day, how can you beat that?

Everything was awesome!!!!!!! The only negative thing I can say is that it was little dark so I had time trying to read my menu and it was a little noisy but we adjusted. I would HIGHLY recommend.
