Mia’s Italian Kitchen is rooted in family. The inspiration came from Dave’s unique relationship with his great-grandmother – she didn’t speak a word of English, so they communicated through food. Arriving in the U.S. via boat in 1904 at the age of 20, Filomena Galeazzo Masucci settled in Rochester with her husband and had 7 children. One of her boys, ’Uncle Pete,’ went on to buy a 75-acre farm on the hills above Canandaigua Lake in the late 1940’s. Filomena moved with Pete & his wife into their 105-year old farmhouse, and so begins the story of Dave’s experience with Italian farm-to-table home cooking.

This was our fourth visit to Mia's and it didn't disappoint. This time we had the pizza and stuffed calamari as appetizers and the brandino for an entree. I was so very impressed with the brandino. The fish was thick, and tender with no bones. This was really the best I have ever had. Thanks, Mia's for another wonderful experience.

A coworker told me about this place last week when I was telling him about how great the brunch was at Cafe Tu Tu Tango (CTTT). He mentioned this restaurant as it is owned by the same people that own CTTT. Went here for brunch this past Sunday and what I can say is you should definitely check this place out for brunch before more people find out about it. Once they do, it is going to get as packed as CTTT is, if not more so, for brunch. They have an extensive brunch menu with a lot of variety available. The food is mostly locally sourced and everything is made in house. The items are reasonably priced, especially for the I Drive area. Where this restaurant, much like CTTT, takes it to the next level is in the $26 bottomless brunch. This bottomless brunch allows you to order as many items on the brunch menu as you would like and it's all for the $26. This is not buffet food either, these dishes are all made to order and fresh. There were only two of us at brunch but we managed to try 11 dishes. We even managed to finish most of them with a few exceptions, not because they weren't great, just because we couldn't eat anymore. Edward, our server, was excellent and although he claimed these were "small" portions for tasting you'd be hard pressed to find that to be true, not that that is a bad thing. We ordered the house made donuts, salumi and cheese board, spinach salad, lemon ricotta silver dollar pancakes, cinnamon-raisin Italian toast, roasted mushroom scramble, funghi pizza, spicy salami pizza, bucatini cacio e pepe, breakfast spaghetti and fettuccine al funghi. All the food was excellently prepared and tasted super flavorful. The highlight for me was the fettuccine al funghi. This was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever eaten. It was packed with roasted mushrooms and a rich creamy sauce. You could also add an unlimited mimosa bar for $18 too. You will not find a better brunch in OTown for price and quality, except for maybe CTTT of course.

El menú se presentaba como bueno, pero no fue lo esperado, si la atención del servicio muy esmerada, pero no alcanzó , el local es muy grande y da tristeza verlo tan poco ocupado .

The menu is typical of items in Italy and intrigued me. The food I sampled was very good holding mostly true to what we've experienced in Italy. Our server was new and nervous. She was pleasant and wanted to please but lacked the raining needed to properly explain and serve.

My new favorite restaurant. This place is so unbelievable and I love everything about it. From the incredibly delicious food, the staff and the decor. We got to meet and talk to the owner Dave and he told us the history and how much they put into renovating this place and I'm so happy they did.

The food is really good and their weekend brunch is a great value to try different dishes. Our experience would have been better if our server listened to what we ordered instead of ordering us random food which resulted in having to reorder the food we wanted to try because it never came out. This was our second time there.

Food and service were both great, only issue was the outdoor seating. It was incredibly hot and the fans in the outdoor area do not provide adequate air flow. The love bugs that kept landing in the food and drinks were also not very pleasant, perhaps adding a screen around the seating area would be better. Lastly, the outdoor area was very far from the mimosa bar - a second juice station should be added closer to that side of the restaurant.

Took my wife to mother’s day dinner and found the place to be just okay and geared more towards the Orlando tourist clientele.
Asked server if we could try some of the by the glass wines on the menu and received a straight up “no - we don’t do that”. So, I guess you order and if you don’t like what you get - you are stuck with it.
Wine came in whiskey/water short glasses. We asked the server to please give us wine glasses and he told us they typically don’t use wine glasses for by the glass orders - you get them only if you order a bottle. Really?
Anyways - he brought us wine glasses as requested and what we chose was good - no complaints there.
Food was just okay.
Appetizer: cold cuts and cheese board. One of the items was mortadella - it was good - but whoever sliced it - did not remove the nylon casing. Mentioned it to the server and he just brushed it off as it was no big deal and okay to not peel it off prior to serving it.
Main: veal with polenta and kale. Polenta was probably the best thing on the plate. Other dish was pasta with wild mushrooms and we did not really like it.
To sum it up - will not repeat.

I happened into this beautiful space just to get a quick bite, and ordered the arugula salad which was magnificent… But also discovered their bottomless brunch and was checking every single thing out as it came out of the kitchen and I wanted to try it all… So I need made another reservation for tomorrow with friends!

I loved this restaurant. The quality (and the quantity) of the food was excellent. We had the stuffed squid for an appetizer. It was delicious. Very flavorful and spicy. My husband had the Sunday dinner pasta that was a lovely blend of flavors. It was quite obvious that the 'gravy' was simmering for a nice long time because the sauce had a taste that blended in the chicken, sweet sausage and meatball. (Yes, all 3 of these items were included in the big bowl of pasta!) I had the best shrimp pasta ever! This dish had a nice spicy kick to it, which I loved. Often when I order this type of dish, the shrimp are a bit overcooked. Well, not here! The shrimp were tender, soft and flavorful. The noodles cooked just the right consistency. We are picky and definitely foodies, we frequent restaurants often and I must say that Mia's will definitely be a weekly visit for us. I want to try every single item on the menu! Love, love, love this place. We got to meet Dave, the owner, and Larry the general manager and of course our server, Joe was the best. I wish I could keep this place a secret, just for us, but they deserve to have these kudos for outstanding ambiance, food and service.

What a beautiful new restaurant to enjoy freshly prepared Italian cuisine in! Flavors were amazing & I can't wait to go back for more! Highly recommend the Egg Yolk Raviolo for starters, Eggplant Parmigiana entree & Tiramisu for a yummy ending!

Excellent food and service and the restaurant is beautiful. Quite dark inside so be aware you need to use your phone flashlight at night to read the menu - could turn up the lights a bit and still be dark enough. We all (party of four) enjoyed the food - shared tastes of each order. Home made pasta was very good. Interior designer did a great job. Original artwork was fun and bright and fit the decor. We will return.

The decor was beautiful and colorful. The service was great! We had Jeff as our waiter and he was amazing, very attentive and friendly. The appetizers were delicious and the desserts was to die for. The entrees however, were disappointing and subpar. The food was a little too salty for my liking and the pasta was not cooked throroughly. I would work on the presentation of the food as well.

I would recommend for lunch. Their flatbreads taste better than they looked. The pasta I think needs some improvement. Coming from NYC, pasta is authentic there. I wouldn’t eat the pasta twice, but if they altered it a bit, yes. The cheese needs better selection and bigger tasting. The wine was impressive. Ambience was great, high ceilings, intimate feel, warm and jazzy. Service was good too.

Carlos was an absolutely amazing server! Food was amazing, we especially loved the Chicken Parmigiana. Portion size is great too. Great selection of wine!

If you’re expecting an average Olive Garden Italian experience this is not the place for you. This is a very creative take on rustic Italian dishes not quite like mom used to make. The menu is simple but complete and super creative.

The restaurant was very new to operation. Although there were not very many guests, you could tell everyone was in “learning” mode. Service was cordial but slow. The salads were crisp. The zucchini starter was really tempura zucchini. There was no bread to accompany the meal without purchasing a loaf. For most of the time we were there, guests were fighting the sun in their eyes, and there was no solution. My eggplant was very good, while my husband had Sunday Gravy which included lots of meats. He was happy with the braccioli.

Our party of four enjoyed dining at Mia's, recently opened on I-Drive. Italian flavors are the order of the day here and every course offered a variety of authentic Italian flavors to please the palate - a wider variety on the menu in my experience than you will typically find in Orlando italian restaurants. Our server, Victoria, was personable and well versed in the details of every menu item and easily answered all of our questions. She and her teammates provided all the support we needed.

For entrees we had
- Chicken parmesan - two lightly breaded chicken breasts with a tasty red sauce served on spaghetti
- Jumbo Shrimp Diavolo - arrived with eight large shrimp on a plate of fettucini and a fra diavolo sauce and proved to be the favorite of everyone in our group
- Porchetta - a nice sized cut of pork served as a fatty slice off the belly, firm and flavorful, just as expected
- Fettucine al funghi with three different kinds of mushrooms (roasted cremini, porcini, and morel) served on fettucine with a herb mascarpone cream sauce - full of wonderful mushroom flavor
For dessert our group chose three - tiramisu, an oatmeal cookie topped with vanilla gelato, and dulce de leche gelato. Three sweet endings to a delicious dinner.

We left a couple of items on the extensive menu to try on our next visit - pizza by the slice, the sandwiches, a number of their "starter" appetizers - and last but not least the apple ricotta doughnut dessert.

The food was excellent. We each ordered something different and shared it around the table. The appetizers were definitely large enough to share, even some of the entrees were large enough to share between 2 people. The desserts were delicious - loved the giant cookie/gelato and apple donuts!

Our server, Mallory, was great! She was attentive, friendly, efficient, and professional. She was patient in explaining the menu to us and returned to our table frequently to check on us. We enjoyed our evening out and plan to visit Mia's again soon!

We were able to attend for the friends & family event on Tuesday evening. The staff was so welcoming and friendly! The manager clearly explained our options for ordering from their extensive menu. We were able to try two appetizers among our group and each of us got an entree. The grilled stuffed calamari was very flavorful and was a perfect start, and we also chose the pane al formaggio, which we will definitely get again in the future! Our entrees were done perfectly and everyone was almost too full for dessert! Luckily, there was just enough room left for cannoli and that beautiful cookie in a skillet with ice cream on top! The pace of our experience was perfect and our bartender made sure we had everything we needed. We will be telling our friends and coworkers about this fabulous new restaurant and will definitely be putting it on our list of local favorites! Thank you so much for all your hospitality!

Excellent addition to Orlando area . Food was delicious, I had the charcuterie board , sausage and peppers pizza, Rigatoni alla Bolognese cooked to perfection “al dente “ and so flavorful. my friend had the warm Italian olives, baby arugula salad and the Jumbo Shrimp Fra Diavolo also exceeded our expectations! We shared the Apple Ricotta donuts which were also delicious! We also enjoyed the Chianti Sangria .Our server Ned was fantastic . The decor and artwork made atmosphere very inviting. Definitely will be a repeat customer!

Overall we really enjoyed it. The only flaws I'd say is service time. We came in at 3:45 and left at 6:30. The server was great but would take 20 minutes between courses to take our orders. Maybe he had too many tables. And it took about 20 minutes to get our pitcher of sangria. The restaurant was not busy by any means at the time. And the the food was extremely salty, I instantly felt my blood pressure go up so I had to take most of it home. But the decor was beautiful, the egg yolk ravioli was out of this world and the Greek pizza was to die for. I will be back after all the tweaks are fixed.

The food was outstanding... The zucchini fries were my favorite... Homemade pastas make all the difference... I totally enjoyed the cucumber soda. I don't have anything negative to say in the food was outstanding. The service was just as good .definitely recommend this place to others.

The restaurant is tastefully decorated. The ambiance is warm and friendly. You can hear the music, but it's not overwhelming. All of the food was flavorful and fresh. I would recommend ordering a pasta dish. The freshness is unbeatable. We were happy with our server, Ian. He answered our menu questions and was conversational but not intrusive. I'm excited to return to try out Happy Hour specials!

Sarah, our server was amazing. The restaurant was too dark to read the menu and it was so loud we could barley have a conversation at our table. Also, the steak was burned, so it was taken off the bill.

My Partner & I went to Mia's tonight from Melbourne Florida to try out the food. We started with the Gnocchi (Delicious) then had the Fromage Brick Oven Pizza (Outstanding) then had the Veal Picata with cheese Polenta, Mushrooms and Capers. (The best we ever had) for Dessert had the warm cookie with Vanilla Gelato (To die for)
Our server Ian was the greatest. Personable, Professional, and Friendly. The entire staff at Mia's made us feel like Family.
Thank You Ian, you are the Greatest!

Can't wait to go back again.
The Chef's really can cook and bake.
Don't pass up this Amazing Restaurant. The decor is like Old Italy.
Prices are low compared to the Large Servings you get.
