Mia's has an excellent location in Old Town Alexandria and as a result is quite busy. The staff is friendly, fast, and customer-oriented. The noise level can be a bit much. My wife and I were unfortunately disappointed with our entrees. The scallop dish was short on scallop; I would not recommend it. Her lasagna had a distinctive taste, one that she was unaccustomed too. Again, not recommended. The bread, salads, desserts, and drinks were very good. All highly recommended.

My first disappointment was that they no longer serve the dish I specifically wanted to order. Apparently the chef changed the menu a couple of months ago. However, the menu is not updated on their website. The music was too loud and even though the server said other diners had also asked to have it turned down she couldn't because it was set to the preference of the owners. We asked if the owners had been told and the response was, "trust me, we've told them". We saw several families with babies leave - the babies were crying at the noise. Bread is a separate order which we were willing to do as my mother wanted some with her soup. However, it took so long that she was more than halfway through her soup and we ended up canceling the order. Our server was lovely and kind. We didn't realize my mother's vegetable lasagna was mushroom based (no indication on the menu). She doesn't like mushrooms so the server did remove it from the order. I didn't care for how the bill was presented. In fact, a bill was not presented. The server had her little digital device that they carry and she just "told" me the total. Obviously, that was not acceptable so she then did show it to me on her digital device. Altogether it wasn't the greatest Mother's Day experience.

Tried the bottomless brunch. Sat in a delightful corner booth/table next to the front windows. Most everything we ordered was tasty. Definitely order: breakfast bruschetta, giant meatball, burratta, cinammon raisin Italian toast (aka bread pudding), donuts, fig & prosciutto pizza, mussels, spicy shrimp pasta (it was mild), bolognese baked egg. However, the pane al formaggio (cheese bread) had virtually no flavor in comparison to the delicious garlic rustic bread slices that came with the starters. The fettuccini al funghi needed salt, was bland in comparison to the other pastas. The bolognese sauce was very strong and overpowered some of the dishes. Our server Pablo was outstanding.

The food was very good. We sat by the kitchen so it was a little noisy. It would also help if Mia indicated on their website that the All You Can Eat on Saturday and Sunday ends at 3:00PM. We went there for that reason but ended up ordering from the regular menu.

Was just visiting the area on business trip. Reservation made but then hostesses and manager were confused as to where to put me. Eventually they decided on literally the worst spot in the restaurant where high waitstaff traffic was next to the stairs…but I guess because I was solo. Food was good, environment was loud and over stimulating, and service was meh but that seems to be the situation at a lot of restaurants post COVID.

Brought some friends here for brunch and Mia’s did not disappoint. The first round of food was a bit slow coming out but worth the wait. It was delicious! Everything was fresh and hot. The giant meatball is amazing! Our server was on point and very attentive.
