Mia's Italian Kitchen
The inspiration came from one of the partner’s unique relationship with his great-grandmother – she didn’t speak a word of English, so they communicated through food. Originally from Naples, Italy, she used easy, simple, raw ingredients - an approach that Mia’s will carry over in our own menu, which will include house-made pasta, Italian sandwiches, charcuterie, and square pizzas.

We had a 7pm reservation. We were taking my husband's boss and wife from Texas out to dinner. We had to stand and wait for 1/2 hour. When we were finally sat, we were put next to a table with some children who were behaving poorly. ..as in banging on our table. The server could not answer basic questions about the menu (as in 'is there cheese on this?') and dropped off a bottle of wine that we ordered but didn't bring glasses over for 15 minutes! I had to ask 3 separate people for bread. Overall the dinner was a disaster but the food was very delicious.
The food was ok, but not amazing and certainly not for the price they charge. Service was extremely slow. The chairs were uncomfortable, table was falling apart and even the bathroom sink faucet was hanging on by a thread. Wouldn’t recommend!
Did not bring us enough bread. Other than that, I really enjoyed it
Delicious dinner at Mia’s! Homemade pasta, pizza, salads, calamari... all our selections perfectly prepared and proportioned. I appreciate having some nice wines by the glass, too. We will be back for sure.
Just a normal night out . I’ve passed Mia’s several times and before getting a chance to have the full menu . I had a late night visit for the pizza previously. That was delicious. Finally had a opportunity to visit with the full menu . Food was delicious . My lady had the chicken parmigiana. One of her favorites and she loved it . Probably the best chicken parmigiana she had . BRACIOLE DI MANZO is what I had . I loved it . Flank steak perfectly cooked . It was so tender . Let me not forget we started with the giant meatball. I also had a side Caesar salad. Only thing is that wit the mixture of temperature the windows were open which it was a little chilly inside but that didn’t stop it from being and enjoyable evening
Fantastic food, overall great dining experience. Will definitely return
The location is the best you can get in Old Town and they’ve done a nice job with the decor and ambiance. However, that’s where the charm stops. The service, while friendly, was haphazard and became quite frustrating. We had to ask for absolutely everything (forIs, napkins, water). Everything we ordered was incorrect in some way. We ordered steak, they brought fish. They corrected eventually but the others in our party waited, politely, which means their food got cold. Their food got cold quickly, too. Within a few minutes it was cold to the touch. Not lukewarm, But cold. This tells me it was under a heat lamp for a while.
I wouldn’t say the food was gross but it was meh at best. Definitely not worth the price- especially when paired with the level of service.
I rarely send anything back, but we ordered coffee with dessert. I could see the bottom of the mug. And, sure enough, it tasted like hot water. The worst coffee ever. You’re an Italian restaurant and can’t even get the coffee right?!
I might be more understanding of these issues if the restaurant was swamped but it was almost empty! This one won’t be here long- especially with better Italian options on the same block.
Bottomless brunch is a great deal!
Dirty utensils and plates. Food was not that good. Very bland and processed. Server was attentive.
Great all you can eat brunch. Arrive before 1030 and you wont have any problem getting one of the tables where you can look out over King Street.
My wife and I have dined at Mia's Kitchen twice. Each time, the food has been fresh, well-prepared and well-served. We especially recommend the warm olives and the baked branzino.
Double date. Very nice time.
Pizza was only thing decent here. Service was slow. Chicken parm tasted like rubber. Bucatini had no flavor. Everyone else's pasta had so much unflavorful chunky sauce on it you couldn't even taste the pasta. Didn't get, wasnt even asked, for any parmesan for the pasta after it was served. Drinks took 15 mins to get. Pizza was the only saving piece of the meal that gives this restaurant a one-star cooked in a brick oven but they forgot one of our pizzas too. Won't come back here again.
This place checked all the boxes. Great food, great service - reasonable pricing. Recommend eating upstairs for a quieter setting - great ambiance! We liked it so much , we ate lunch there the next day!
This is an absolutely beautiful restaurant. I went with a group of friends and the food was delicious. We had the fried zucchini appetizer with their special bread and I would order it again! Everyone had a different dish and enjoyed it. Our server was attentive and looked out for us.
Wonderful food, reasonable prices, nice waiter and our apple something dessert looked round like a ball and fried, O FREAKING M G! We lived it!
Great food and interior, only negative point that you don't want to leave
While the food was good overall, the service was quite bad. Our server was not polite, haphazardly tossed silverware and dishes onto our table, had no recommendations when we inquired, looked around at our tables while speaking to us, and simply put, acted like he did not want to be there. We will likely not be returning or recommending this restaurant due to the poor service we received.
The food at this restaurant is amazing. The pane is a must have and the zucchini fries were great! The star dish is the bucatini cacio y pepe. I have rarely eaten something so addictive.
The only cons are they tend to run slightly behind when seating (on big deal), there are only two restrooms for men and women so the wait can be a bit, and it can get a little loud.
Great food, service, customer service. Manager, Fadi, goes above and beyond to ensure the restaurant runs smoothly and that the food is fine right.
Super fun spot. Very noisy but you would expect that in an open setting.
Great food we were all very happy.
Great service, food, everything! We'll be back!
Great location! The weather was beautiful so you can dine outside at the few street tables or dine inside. I was near the large open windows inside. Great Italian food and homemade pastas. I had the stuffed focaccia bread as an appetizer and it was delicious. I highly recommend.
As always the pasta is excellent and their pizzas are a real value — huge portion and very tasty. Salads are superb. The only downside is it’s pretty loud and it can be hard to hold a quiet conversation, although the upstairs is a bit quieter.
Our previous 4 dinners have been good, but tonight was thoroughly disappointing. Our salads, appetizer, and entrees were delivered at the same time, the veal piccata was extremely tough, and the Bolognese was not as good as in the past. We will be going elsewhere in the future.
Food is amazing! Good sized portions and good prices.
The pasta here always tastes fresh and perfectly cooked. The sauces always have that flavor that only comes from being slowly simmered. This is such a great place to pop in and get Italian comfort food. I also love that there is a half-price wine night!!
Good all around enjoyment. Food and service was very good.
The happy hour was amazing. Loved the chicken sliders.
The food was EXCELLENT !!!
RAY, our server, was EXCELLENT !!!
The noise level upstairs became a little loud later in the evening but BETTER than downstairs
We'll definitely god back !! They were OUT of the SUNDAY GRAVY entree last Sunday evening : (
I gotta go back and get THAT !!!!
Great food. Great location. Delicious comfort Italian with generous portions. The service was excellent. Dennis was an extremely attentive waiter. We’d definitely go back.
Service is really slow. Took 20 minutes after I ordered a glass of wine to receive it. The restaurant is so loud—my friends and I were yelling to hear each other.
We had Laura as our server and she was amazing the food was a little salty but all around was a great time
The fresh pasta was delicious and the cheese and meat board was outstanding!
Highly recommend. From Start to finish we really enjoyed. I’ll be back!!!
Worst Italian food I ever had in the US.
Food and service were outstanding. new GM, Fadi, is very detailed oriented.
Service was very slow at a time the restaurant was not busy.
Great atmosphere paired with great food. The staff was very attentive and prompt with recommendations for first time customers. Love the area that it’s located in and that the king st trolley actually drops off right in front of the restaurant.
