Mia's Italian Kitchen
The inspiration came from one of the partner’s unique relationship with his great-grandmother – she didn’t speak a word of English, so they communicated through food. Originally from Naples, Italy, she used easy, simple, raw ingredients - an approach that Mia’s will carry over in our own menu, which will include house-made pasta, Italian sandwiches, charcuterie, and square pizzas.

Nice restaurant . Host was very friendly and was able to accommodate our group very quick . Waitress was amazing took care of us very well recommended some items from the menu. The food was excelente very tasty! Would definitely go back to this restaurant .
We can truly say we had a great experience , great food, our waiter was awesome.
We had lunch during Restaurant Week. Everything was perfect. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We have dined there before and will return. Highly recommend.
Love the Apple Ricotta donuts. Yum!
Great simple Italian food done well
A great experience; high quality food at a reasonable price; great homemade pasta and terrific affordable wine list
We had a nice lunch catching up with my friend and my sister. We all ordered pizza and beer. Our hostess was extremely nice and attentive but also gave us our space. Would definitely come here again!
I have been to Mia's before for dinner and have always had a fantastic meal. This was my first time for brunch - $26 all you can eat menu (everyone at table needs to participate). Absolutely excellent value and variety! I highly suggest it
Mia's unlimited weekend brunch is phenomenal. The food is consistently excellent and the price is more than reasonable. The brunch drinks are also delicious, particularly the white sangria (we always order a pitcher)!
Food was great as always, and the service was wonderful.
The food at Mia's was very good and plentiful. The low light setting makes a good atmosphere. Although crowded (for good reason), we could still carry on a conversation without yelling.
The food is good at Mia’s! It’s really nice in there and they have good options. I love their pizza and their chicken parm was pretty good.
Great food and service despite being close to closing time. Food was delicious.
I had dinner there with a colleague. The servicewas great - our waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was lackluster - I did not enjoy the "Sunday Gravy" pasta dish - seemed like leftover meat thrown over pasta with a brown sauce. Our table was very dark and a busboy did not bring a candle for extra illumination until almost the end of our meal. Dinner was $37 which is overpriced for a glass of wine and not very good pasta.
Great food and service.
It's a nice place but the menu is very heavy on carbs, so not an easy place to go if you are watching starch intake.
Our waiter Tommy was so good. He guided our palettes to the perfect entrees and was attentive without hovering. With the warm weather it felt like we were in a movie with all the doors open and all the people strolling on a lit up King St.
Got together with friends for their brunch special! This is a great value for bottomless food ($27). We added a few sangria pitchers and each only paid about $40 total! The food was delicious! Highly recommend the zucchini fries, cheesy garlic bread, mushroom pasta, mushroom pizza, and arugula salad!
We made reservations for 715 for 5 people, we did not get seated until 8 pm, even though I was there at 7:10. Not sure the point of making reservations. There was a guy complaining that he had reservations at 7:30 and they do this all the time to him. I commented to the front desk people I hope you don’t get bullied by this guy and seat him before us, which was exactly what happened. Very disappointed. Once we were seated our server was fantastic, the food and adult beverages were great.
Food was poor. The spice you use in all your dishes is too strong and not typical for Neapolitan fare. I lived there for two years and never encountered that taste
Also had heartburn for a full day after eating. Most likely won’t eat here again.
If you're looking for Italian food in Old Town Alexandrea, it might be hard to beat Mia's. There's a trolley stop right in front of the restaurant, so you can trolley from a bus or metro station for free. It's pretty close to the water and there are a couple of ice cream parlors close by too. The food is very good and the atmosphere is just right for Old Town.
I think our server was either too busy or inexperienced as there was no spacing between our salad appetizers and the main entrees - which all arrived at the same time. That was not good. And he was not attentive for drink refills. But he was a nice and pleasant young man. The food, as always at Mia's, was exceptional. One diner had the chicken parm with the side of spaghetti with spicy tomato sauce - loved it. Another had a pizza. And I had my usual - the spaghetti pomodoro with a giant meatball. It is utterly delightful! Flavor country! The caesar salads were perfect and quite large. The loaf of garlic cheese bread we always get was perhaps not quite up to par. Just a little off. But all in all, good job Mia's. Great food. Good portions. We'll be back again for our Italian fix in a month or two.
Mia's offers quite a nice selection of foods, wines, beers and spirits. Fun place. Great for a private party. Food is awesome, service even better.
Food wars amazing, the carpaccio was subpar but everything else was out of this world amazing!!!
Service was great. Noise level was way too high, couldn’t have a conversation properly. I enjoyed the bronzini dish, but didn’t cared for the broccolini. My husband had the veal picata and it was tough not tender like most veals we’ve had in the past. I believe it was over cooked. Was not impressed with their food menu.
I don’t think this will be a repeater for us. I’ll try another Italian place.
We had a wonderful dinner at Mia's. We arrived early and appreciated that we were able to be seated right away. The service was great as were our meals. I would definitely return and recommend Mia's.
Totally inadequate bathroom facilities downstairs. I had to stand in line with other people and
then when I got into one of the two bathrooms, there was toilet paper all over the floor, but none
on the rolls. The room obviously hadn't been checked for quite a while.
It's a shame, because overall I like the restaruant.
The food was amazing and the service was great! Definitely looking forward to going back soon.
This is the second time I've had a reservation at Mia's and the table has not been ready when we have arrived. We had to wait a little over 15 mins this visit, and over an hour our last. Knowing it was New Years Eve, it seemed the restaurant was short staffed so we felt bad for our server whom seemed to have way too many tables to adequately assist everyone. Food was great however.
We very much enjoyed our dinner. The food is outstanding. The only thing that I wasn't thrilled with was our table. We were kind of up against a column and literally like 12" from a table of 12 (which if the ones on our side had tried to get out, they would have been on top of us). Lucky for us, they were there longer than we were. The service was good, not great.
We are frequent patrons. The food was excellent as always. Being New Years Eve we will give them a pass on the long wait even though we had reservation. Service as been better. Overall we enjoyed our meal and evening.
Went on New Year’s Eve. We had a very nice dinner restaurant has a hip vibe. Food was a bit over salted service was very good even though they were packed.
The buccatini cacio e pepe is PHENOMENAL. Honestly one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. The spicy, peppery pasta, paired with the sweet New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, is not to be missed!
rrAt first, while still waiting for our table it seemed the music too loud. But once seated, the crowd chatter made the music just fine. The waitress, a tiny pretty girl, was wonderful. The food, outstanding. Great Caesar dressing, really delicious pizza. Next time i\I will try an entree. Oh yeah, it was our 33 annaversary
Always incredible food and atmosphere
Pasta was homemade and absolutely to die for. The best carbonara we have had in the U.S. Ambience is both warm and trendy. Was a bit crowded and staff seemed a little harried.
Food is delicious. Service was a little slow.
Been there a couple years ago when it was new, and remember it being good... This time, everything was way too salty and just not put together well. There’s no way a chef tasted the food before it came out. Almost inedible. Service was bad too...had to repeatedly hunt server down, never offered grated cheese or bread, etc. Won’t go back.
The service was great. The good was excellent. We had a bit of a wait but the host made good. We enjoyed how delicious the food was. We will definitely be back.
Service was slow and spotty. The restaurant was very busy on Christmas Day evening. Pizza was good as were the desserts. My baby arugula salad had way too much lemon juice. Overall, my experience was fair.
We wanted to do something different for Christmas dinner that would be simple, and Mia's turned out to be a good choice. We had swordfish over black squid-ink pasta that I don't think of as traditional holiday fare but it was excellent. They also make a very good sangria.
