We had a great time !
Once again brought out of towners for an authentic Italian meal. Very disappointed this time. Early Saturday evening and it wasn't busy at all - maybe eight tables. Waitress "forgot" our appetizers - remembered when our meal was delivered. Had to ask for bread three times and finally snagged the hostess for more. Usually the service is top notch.
Biggest disappointment was the same as each time we visit. The food is NOT HOT. The lasagna is made to order - how is it not hot to the middle? Again, everyone at the table felt their entree should have been hotter.
Sad because this is a very nice place. Very cozy, convenient, great wine list, and the menu variety and quality ingredients -excellent.
Everything was very good. First time there and we will go back. Two appetizers and two entrees and everything was delicious. Service was pleasant and prompt. Dining area was open but nice ambiance. Pleasantly surprised. Looking forward to our next meal there.
Went here for dinner before the show and the opera house. Food, drinks and service are all very good. Good menu choices.
Food was a little better than Olive Garden. They did serve bread but no salad unless you ordered it extra. They do not have a blender at the bar so their drinks are limited. I expected an Italian restaurant to have Aperal, which is an Italian liqueur, but they did not. Music needs improvement and the decor could use some help. Don't get the artwork of old actors unless they are trying to tie in to the old Woodstock movie theater across the street. Something more Italian would be better. The gelato tasted like it has melted and been refrozen, very grainy and disappointing. Overall I was a little disappointed.
This place is absolutely gorgeous!!!!! My daughter was not being the best so me and her left early but when we arrived, we were greeted with smiles and we had water and fresh bread on our table immediately. The food was great. Though I wish there was more options for kiddos they were very accomadating with helping us find the right things for them to split. The entrees are large portions which is great. Though I did not get to eat my food due to leaving early it was still absolutely delicious heated up later that night.
We have been to this restaurant before & it was great, our server (the first time) Alex, was outstanding! This time was a different story, service was terrible. Our waiter was actually the bartender, and he was really lost. It took 15 min to get water, 45 min to get an appetizer. The meal finally came an hour later, the fish was terrible (tasted very fishy). After Alex saw that we were obviously disappointed in the service we were receiving she stepped up & asked if she could help with anything. The bartender blamed the whole experience on the poor communication in the kitchen. Alex even paid for a portion of our bill, which was not her responsibility at all! The manager should have stepped in at that point.
If it wasn’t for the care/concern from Alex we would never return to this restaurant again. But she asked us if we were willing to give it a 3rd try. Recommendation for the owners, hire more people like her, she will save your business if you have nights like that again.
We really want to love this place.
They just need to figure out how to operate efficiently
Food was great and the service was outstanding.
Sally Young's Meatball Salad is a must try.
I especially like the Zuppa Di Pesce.
We were welcomed and shown to a shared spot on the outside patio. Our waitress was friendly and looked after us (unobtrusively) during the meal. Nice menu, good kitchen, and our veal was well-prepared.
But if you go there watch out for their bar prices. Wine is in a normal price range but I thought their charging $13.00 for a scotch-on-the-rocks was totally unreasonable. (Would have given a 5-star rating but for that...)
Best restaurant (by far) in Woodstock - outstanding!
Service was marginal and especially disappointing for a far less than busy venue. The Caesar salad was NOT FRESH, despite the report it would be. Presentation of veal dish was 'sloppy' but it was flavorful. Probably will not return.
I so was looking forward to dinner here. We were only people here on Sunday night at 7pm, weird. Food was good but not worth the second time. Heard so many good reviews and no one here was very strange considering the review's
Great service, awesome food well made drinks. Would recommend to everyone!
First time visit but definitely going back. All eggplant dishes were excellent. Meatball salad was awesome.
We had a nice meal. It was busy but not crowded. Busboy must have been new.
The food was good and the service was great. We had reservations for 8 for my daughter's birthday and the seated us as we came.
We had high hopes for this restaurant but were disappointed. The first turnoff was that the red wine was chilled. Both the by the glass and the bottle. That's just not how red wine should be served. We were also surprised that the dinner salad was a very pale iceberg lettuce—not what we expected. Three of the four people in our party enjoyed their dinner. One did not. The dessert menu was not compelling, with only one choice that contained chocolate.
I provide these comments as constructive criticism in the hope that the restaurant will improve. It is a nice big space and could be a good choice in Woodstock with some improvements.
Amazing dinner and loved the restaurant. Wine selection was on spot. I will be back ❤️
New favorite place to dine, thank you 😁
Good food, nice to see Carbonara as a special! Ambiance could be a little bit better, but I'm partial to warm lighting and cozy spaces. Overall I would reccomend and make another visit.
Love this place. Menu, service, wine list, atmosphere top notch.
Have a concern. The last three visits we have included guests. We have had later reservations 6 or 6:30. While the food still has been really good, it has not been hot. Several of the entrees have been barely warm. The restaurant was very busy at the time, but don’t think they should sacrifice the quality of the meal for this reason.
We booked an early slot as we had theatre seats, and it was just as well. We were seated quickly but it took a while for drinks and longer to order. Our food arrived in a reasonable time but dessert was slow and the coffee took so long we had to leave to take our seats in time. My husband had to take the bill to the server to pay himself.
Although we have no complaints about the food the service was awful.
Service was excellent. Alex was very attentive. The food was also good and ambiance was good. Would return.
We had heard only lukewarm reviews from others, yet decided to venture to Mia Passione for ourselves. We celebrated an 83rd birthday there, and were very happy. All our meals were fresh and tasty! Our server, while new, was professional, courteous and attentive. We will definitely return!
The good and service was amazing!!! Can't wait to go back!
Food was great, attentive service. Will definitely go back.
Really fantastic everything! Our waiter was great and it was nice being greeted by the owner. Definitely will be going back.
Great food. Great service.
Food was excellent and our waiter provided just the right amount of attention.
Great Italian Restaurant. First time there on list to visit again. Food excellent, Very good
Owner came out to say hello to everyone. She was lovely. Beautiful place. My ravioli was really good and hubby’s pork chop was incredibly huge. He loved it.
We went to Mia Passione for Valentine's day. The place was full and very vibrant. The meal was outstanding. The Chicken Francese was very good and my wife had the lobster ravioli that was also very good. The service was slow but was to be expected and in fact we were in no hurry so it did not bother us one bit. Besides the food is very good and well worth the small wait we had. I highly recommend!!
Everything we ate was delicious and the staff was very friendly. The meatballs were outstanding and the sauces were excellent. My only complaint was about the prices. We ordered the fried mozzarella which tasted great, but it was $12.95 for about 6 bites. And my 9 year old got buttered noodles which also cost $12.95. It was our first visit and we enjoyed the food, but I'm not sure how often we can afford to go back.
We enjoyed a lovely Valentine’s Day. Service was perfect.
Second time at this location I had the lobster ravioli and my girl had the filet . Both were excellent as was the the service I would highly recommend this restaurant. Prices were very fair for the excellent quality . I will be a regular
Recently moved to the area and want to try all local restaurants.
It was a snowy Saturday evening (after a movie) and the place was not crowded.
Food was very good; wait staff very attentive.
Will definitely return!
Small portions, slow service, pricey. Food taste was okay except for lobster ravioli- bland
I went into Mia Passione last weekend with my wife and son and we had a great meal. The appetizers were very delicious and we enjoyed all our entrees. The restaurant was very slow but the service was outstanding and you are treated very nice and welcome. I would recommend the Stuffed Peppers appetizer and the Chicken Francese was outstanding. I highly recommend and we will be back....
Great food great service. Will definitely come again!
From the time I walk in I felt like I was eating at own home. Everyone was supper friendly. Food was outstanding as was the service. Prices are very reasonable. Will differently be back soon
