Mi Vida is the ideal location for celebrating a special occasion with a group of friends. We had a great table upstairs with an attentive and friendly server who made each one of us feel special. Really enjoyed the festive atmosphere and excellent food. Looking forward to returning again and again.

Well I didn’t like being in the second floor that much as it felt like a cafeteria but it was nice overall when you were walking down the stairs to leave as you could see everything next time im gonna have my girlfriend try something else apart from a small dish. Great place tho

Our server was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and just great. We ordered an ice cream dish to go, which she was happy to accommodate, but the chef came out and let us know it wouldn’t be as good once we got home because the ice cream would melt. They asked us what else we might want, and we ended up getting the chocolate cake, which was delicious! Our experience was one of the best we’ve had in DC because their service was just so good. Will absolutely visit again.

Good: food was uniformly REALLY delicious, with good portions. Really good. Service also good. Not as good: we were seated on the ground floor and it was quite dark. Too dark to read menus without phone flashlights. And that was at 6pm while there was still light coming in the windows. Also: the price: we had the delicious plate of appetizers for three, plus a kids hamburger, three beef tacos and three drinks and the bill was almost $200 including tip. And that included a 3% additional charge we was told “so we don’t have to raise the menu prices”. Think that one over: in order not to raise prices we are charging you more money”. Interesting.

Beautiful space, with a nice big selection of foods. I like spicy, but found the green sauce way too hot for dipping chips. We loved our meal, but couldn't finish because the portions were heftier than we expected. The servers were attentive. The margaritas well-crafted and lovely.

The food was very ordinary and not worth it for the prices. All 3 members of our dinner party were underwhelmed and agreed that we would not return to any of their locations again. The tacos were bland and the beans on the side were extremely bland. The guacamole was not bad, but even that's not saying a lot.

The original Mi Vida on the Wharf is one of my favorite restaraunts in DC. Unfortunately I was kind of disappointed in the 14th st location. I booked a reservation for a friend's birthday celebration and marked it as such on the reservation. The server did not acknowledge this or give any small dessert like normal. Additionally there was a miscommunication over alcohol selection which resulted in a higher tab which, to their credit, was taken care of after we pointed out the mistake to a manager. Finally, the guacamole on the night I went was not of the same quality as the original location which boasts it being what they are known for. Unfortunately the guac was overly mixed so it was completely smooth and came out kind of warm. I usually order 2 guac and finish them myself, but couldn't get my party of 3 to finish the one order bc of the quality that night.
