Mi Piaci is one of our favorites in El Paso. We don’t live there anymore but love going back and having Cosimo cook Italian food from his recipes growing up in southern Italy.
We introduced some friends to Mi Piaci and they loved it too.
Not very busy, only three tables seated.
Had appetizers and soup. Food was okay.
There were not nearly enough servers for the amount of tables there were, for an actual fine dining experience each server should have no more than 5 tables each. Our food arrived and it was clear it had sat under the heat lamp for a while. The space was also very crowded and so loud that my husband and I couldn't hear each other.
The wait staff was friendly and coped as best as they could but the whole experience was not worth what we paid.
I would eat there again if invited, but I won't be making the reservations.
It was good. The osso bucco was very good! And the creamy cauliflower soup and salads were excellent as well. The veal picatta lacked some flavor. We really enjoyed the desserts and coffee! Service was very good too! Overall a very good experience for a nice celebration!
Great service, friendly staff. Salmon entree was somewhat cold but they fixed it.
The menu has a lot to offer, and I have never had a bad meal. Sometimes the service is spotty, but the food keeps my family coming back for more.
This was our anniversary dinner. We were seated in a cozy quiet corner. Excellent wine and meal with very attentive service and special complementary special dessert. Very pleasant experience.
Truly delicious food- the best Carbonara I've ever had! Ambiance was somewhat lacking - we made a reservation and were seated in a dimly lit corner with no decor or flowers on the table.
This restaurant never fails us! The atmosphere, service, and food were fantastic!
While the host and wait staff were wonderful, the food left wanting.
Mi Piaci in El Paso, TX, serves Italian food that tastes like it was made in the east coast. East coast Italian food is the best in the US. Mi Piaci’s food is delicious and plentiful. The service is very professional and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a great meal and atmosphere.
I have never had a bad meal, almost a perfect atmosphere and delicious REAL Italian food
It’s always nice to have dinner at Piaci. Food is always good and service outstanding.
Celebrated my wedding anniversary and my wife and I were ver pleased with the service as well as the beautiful decoration in our desert saying happy anniversary.
Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!
Mi Piaci is a very good restaurant. The food was great and the service as well!
Food was very good. You need to do something with the floor. I read it was a $$ restaurant so We took our Grandson. Also our first time there. Painted concrete just doesn’t look attractive at all.
Delicious food, but marred by poor service. We were honoring a special occasion and had hoped for an excellent experience. While the food itself was great, we had an overall subpar meal because of the lack of attention from our server. The restaurant was practically empty for a Friday night, so that could not have been the problem. At one point, we finally called over a woman who was possibly a hostess or maybe a manager and asked about our server’s whereabouts...she informed us that maybe he had gone home?! (He did appear as she was telling us that news...) Anyway, it’s a shame that one of the few quality Italian restaurants in El Paso offers such an unprofessional staff. On the positive side, our server was very friendly; he was just nonexistent after he dropped off our meals.
The quality of food did not match the cost. The waiter was pushy and cared more about trying to increase our ticket rather than serve. He offered soup or salad when we ordered our entrees but did not mention that they were a separate charge. Also $4 for soft drinks and tea? Way overpriced. The entrees were not very good. I love Italian food and the food was mediocre.
Everything was great! We knew a Monday night would probably be a little quiet but we both enjoyed the evening very much. We celebrated my wife’s birthday. She really loved the desert with the candle it was a nice gesture. The food was incredible!! Our waitress was so kind and very attentive. We will definitely be back in the near future.
Food was cooked very well. Presentation was elegant. Ambiance was so so. I lived in Italy and the decor did scream Italy. Felt like a sports bar - completely unexpected. And, so were the flies. We were indoors, so we shouldn't be shooing flies. It was so annoying that when asked if we needed anything else, many responded with a fly swatter. Me u offer authentic Italian food, not the typical cookie cutter all you can eat bread and salad. Overall, 3 star food in a 2 star setting.
When making the reservation a Birthday was mentioned for my girl friend and we got nothing. Not even a dry piece of cake. Other than that the food was good but maybe a little over priced. We had to wait 20 minutes for the check. I had to keep waving at him before he responded and when he did he wanted to know what I wanted. I will go back but not to celebrate a birthday.
Way too expensive! The meat was grossly undercooked! Will not return
We love this place. I just can’t say enough about how wonderful the food is here. Time and time again always consistent and always delicious. The chef even rounds to your table to check on the food. Great for a date or a family meal, service is the best in El Paso.
We usually go there but today was even more special since my boy was turning 3.
Great place for all occasions.
Owner and staff are fantastic!
Excellent food and service. Only thing is the interior climate control system should be modernized. I felt the air stream on my head and it was a bit noisy.
Always a delightful experience with attentive wait staff, good food and pleasant ambiance.
As we entered their was a foul smell and we were told we needed a reservation, but when we got there they just said a table for 4 the place only had 2 to 3 other table's? So I was perturbed because we had hurry up just to make the reservation time.
Our waitperson was fantastic. She was exceptional and provided a warm, professionalism service. Food was great as always.
We had a group of six and everyone ordered a different dish. The food was excellent and the chef was very attentive to his guests!!
Most I've ever spent at a restaurant but it was a fantastic experience. The food was great and my server, Jonathan, was amazing.
remember a time when the food at Mi Piaci was spectacular (10'ish years ago when I would eat there quite often), that has really changed. I ate here recently and was SO disappointed. My meal, the chicken picatta (which Ive ordered many times in the past) was terrible. The chicken tasted as though it had been cooked in old dirty oil, the breading was greasy, the sauce was runny and bland and the noodles were al dente to the point of being gummy. My boyfriend ordered the spaghetti which tasted about the same as canned chef boyardee and wasnt served with garlic bread, breadsticks...nothing. My boyfriend almost never complains about anything food related but even he agreed it was terrible. I have raved about Mi Piaci for years to my boyfriend as it used to be one of my favorite places for italian cuisine. Unfortunately the first time we tried it together was a bust and we both agreed it is off the list for a future dining option. Its sad because I used to LOVE this restaurant..
Took my girlfriend to Mi Piaci. The menu alone makes this restaurant a must go to. The amazing homemade pasta along with the extremely
Professional wait staff makes this the best Italian in El Paso.
We’ve been a number of times always consistently good. Service is prompt, friendly and professional.
The waitress was a hard worker and efficient, but no other customers there. No one smiled and i saw a man with shirt and tie looking bored, assume it was the manager. It would have been nice for the manager to welcome us, wish a happy anniversary with perhaps a complimentary dessert, but did not happen. The overall ambience was sterile with no warmth. No one recommended signature dishes. Did not have an italian feel. No background music. Not worth the prices, Olive Garden would be better. Needs improvement in people skills, and ambiance.
Greeter was unaccomodating and unfriendly. Area was not set up when we were seated. Waiters were rushing my friend and I
Our FAVORITE RESTAURANT in El Paso!
Quality and the taste of the food are great! The Attention to us makes my family and I feel like VIPs.
My wife our little boy and I always feel we are very welcome.
Combination of the food, atmosphere and customer service keep making us coming back.
This is one of the few places we will miss the most when we move back to Florida.
Thanks a lot! :)
Made reservations for Valentine’s dinner and made plans based off of the online menu. The server presented the “Valentine Dinner Menu” and said that the host was supposed to contact all reservation holders and notify them about the menu. I was not contacted prior to the visit which resulted in not being able to have dinner at the restaurant. The restaurant was unwilling to compromise and server acted unprofessional. I’m sure it’s a fine restaurant, but I had a VERY poor experience.
For mother's day and valentine's they offer a different overpriced menu than what they usually offer and they do not advise you beforehand so don't expect your favorite meals on special occasions and you will end up paying about 300 dlls for 2 people when you usually spend 100
Although we were told about the limited menu for Valentine’s Day, we weren’t aware of the price. $99 each for 3 courses. My appetizer quinoa salad was bland and my pasta entree was severely under seasoned( no salt at all) and very little sauce. Dessert, wine, service, and atmosphere were great. We left spending almost $300 which was unexpected. I understand things are different for the holiday but I’m not in a rush to try this restaurant again.
