Our server, Jose, was outstanding in pacing the courses and making recommendations. The chef was also in the dining room speaking with customers. Very enjoyable experience!
Waited for 20 minutes for water, waited 10 minutes to order drinks, waiting 20 minutes for check.
Waited over one hour for our appetizer, another 40 min for main coarse... never got our soup or salads... fixed price dinner on new years eve... total waste of money
Service was glacial. We have been here 3 hours, and still don't have the check. Either the place was grossly understaffed or it was a really bad night. The special pre-fix menu was tasty, but overpriced. Never again.
Me & my husband went for our 1 year anniversary. The atmosphere was awesome. As was the service. The food was delicious & really amazing. We Will definitely be back!
We eat here often. We usually love it, but this meal was mediocre at best. The meals were tasty, but cold. I suspect that the sat on the prep table in the kitchen too long.
Wonderful service. Delicious meal!!!!
I hadn’t been to the restaurant in a while. The food used to be great. On this visit, my veal was a little tough and the vegetables were too al dente for my taste, as I had to cut them with a knife. The kitchen was extremely noisy as they must have been hammering meat for a good ten minutes. Also the bartender kept picking the ice and dumping it into another container. I thought they could have at least done this before opening. They did treat me to dessert and sang “ happy birthday “ in Italian; that was quite nice!
We had lunch for the first time at this restaurant. I by ad the fettuccini pistachio cream pasta with shrimp. It was excellent! My husband had a rigatoni. He liked it a lot. The pasta quality and service were excellent. I will definitely be back.
Filet was incredible
Outstanding service, food, and drinks! My date and I each had the Filetto di Manzo al Pepe Verde. She had a Merlot, and I had a Manhattan. Everything was incredible. After dinner, I asked about coffee options. Benjamin gave us some great options, which, among other things, included macchiatos and Irish coffees. I asked if they would make an Irish macchiato. No problem. It was also top-notch. Wonderful experience! Highly recommended!
Mi Piaci is a fine dining experience you won't forget. Recommend going for special occasions.
Great food, great atmosphere and great service. Perfect for a special occasion with your significant other! You will be fine in dress casual but is also great for dressing up.
I would highly recommend this place. We went for my husband’s birthday and it was perfect. The portion sizes are generous and we both have enough for a meal tomorrow. Robert was excellent and so knowledgeable. I don’t think I can say enough good things about this place. We will definitely be back.
Food was beyond our expectations, the service was ok, the place is in serious need of remodeling. Again food was beyond delicious.
Ku first experience was great. The customer service was exceptional. The food was fantastic.
Great dinner! Sea bass cooked just the way we requested. Excellent service.
We went there to celebrate my wife's promotion. It was quite enjoyable and the food was excellent.
We waited over an hour for food and told by waiter that their was a party upstairs hence why they were delayed
Bill came out and upon review we found issues and we did receive corrections
So disappointing but food was good
Although specials described after ordering we were told twenty mins later they didn’t have the 1855 steaks
Even Maitre d told me her day was bad as we entered for dinner I should have known we were in for a challenging meal
Not crowded but quite noisy, there were a few young children at 830p on a Friday. The wine list was limited. Appetizer selection was ample. We enjoyed fried calimari. Timeliness of service and attentiveness was great. I never needed to pour our own wine. Veal was tender and fish tasted fresh. Sauces were flavorful. Desert wad delicious. We had lava cake. One pour of ten year porto was enough for 2. Espresso was standard.
We'd been to Mi Piaci only once before - also for an anniversary dinner.
We made our reservation on the Open Table app so it was a no fuss entry in. We were greeted and seated within seconds of arriving.
I'll state up front that our server (Robert) was terrific. He was friendly, informative, and attentive.
We got the calamari appetizer with the fresh marinara. It was terrific. The batter was light and the squid was cooked perfectly.
My wife had the Gorgonzola salad and I had the Caprese. Both were excellent.
Post salad, our meals arrived (in a very timely fashion I must say).
My wife had the Lobster/Squash stuffed ravioli. I only had a small taste of hers, but it was terrific. Far more lobster than squash - which only meant there was nothing to complain about. It was served with a cream and saffron sauce that was light and tasty.
I got the Chicken Parmesan. The portion was far bigger than I expected and the taste was terrific. The chicken was breaded and baked, but topped with mozzarella and a slice of ham. It was far to much to finish, but we managed.
We even had dessert, which consisted of a bowl shaped wafer that held a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream topped with chocolate sauce. The plate was decorated with various berries.
All in all, this was an amazing meal. It made for an excellent date night dinner; and an even more memorable anniversary dinner.
I cannot recommend Mi Piaci enough. It is, in my opinion, far and away the best Italian food restaurant in El Paso.
It's perfect for dates, birthdays, anniversaries, and for showing off a great restaurant to out of towners.
I can't wait to go back.
The lamb was superb, as always!
Mi Piaci is at the top of our list of places to go whenever we visit El Paso. We are consistently blown away by the food. Our favorites are the Pollo a la Vodka and the Gnocchi al Forno. Service was TOP NOTCH and atmosphere was quiet and romantic. Best Italian food in EP!!
It is always special for us when we dine at MI Piaci, the food is creative and delicious. its a little pricier than the places we usually eat at, but it is worth it . Its a lovely restaurant. If I could criticize anything, I would suggest they put a door or screen in front of the kitchen entrance.
Wow, was last here about 8 years ago and left disappointed with poor service and so-so food. What a change. The drinks, Italian food, and service were excellent. Yes, go here.
We enjoyed a pleasant meal. Nothing outstanding, but then I don’t have any complaints, either.
First time there and the food was great! ... Little overpriced but not too bad ...
The food was good but service was slow. Only 2 servers and one was also the bartender. I’d still go back.
We had heard about this restaurant from a number of people, saying how good it was. So, we finally tried it with friends. It was great. Great atmosphere, great service, great food.
Definitely worth going back to.
Haven't been to this restaurant in about 14 years because of the poor service and mediocre food I had then, but wow. What a gem, now. The cream of red pepper soup was a very nice start, followed by the tenderloin, a great meal. Look what I've been missing!
The decor was old and drab looking. The food was fair at best. My ceasar salad was small for the price. Lettuce wasn't fresh, dressing was scarce and the croutons looked and tasted like they were from the dollar store.
I had to flag down a waiter for iced tea refills. I asked for butter and got a melted blob. I had the creme brulee for dessert and it was cold and not rich in flavor. I was told by many friends I would be disappointed but went with an open mind. They were right. FYI I am retired from the restaurant industry with 45 years in three different countries.
We went for my birthday with my family, service was too slow, not attentive. Missed recommendations, we waited 15 minutes in order to get water when we sat down, there were no glasses, we were being served by the bar tender in the beginig which was confusing. Could barely hear the music playing.
Food is very good, but needs to improve service urgently
Mi Piaci is one of our favorites. Always good food and good service.
Very good italian food kitchen directed by Italian chef-owner. Excellent service. We think it is a great choice for italian dining just when we don't want to cook. Doesn't have to be a special occasion. The day before a race, I always choose to have the spaghetti and meatballs at MiPiaci.
The food was great,,,,, the seats a little bit uncomfortable ,,,,but everything was delicious and good ambience
I am absolutely smitten with this restaurant after my dazzling evening here on Monday.
It was a beautiful evening so we decided to sit on the patio. Our server recommended a bottle of wine to us and we went with it. I forget the name but it was a nice smooth red that paired well with our appetizer. We tired the bruschetta to start - It was delicious and they give you a decent sized plate. They also give you bread for the table with butter.
For our meals we had the rib-eye steak and the special of the night which was Sea Bass and roasted vegetables. Both were absolutely delicious. The Sea Bass was mouthwatering. Kudos to the Chef!
We couldn't believe it but at the end of the night they actually comped us our desert and an espresso cocktail! What a kind gesture! After a nice of truly amazing service this was the icing on the cake. We were sold on Mi Piaci!
It was only us that Monday sitting on the patio. We came at 5:30 pm. The fact that it was only us really made the evening so special. So if you're looking for a more private night I would definitely recommend a Monday.
I just wanted to extend a huge THANK YOU to the staff at Mi Piaci. They made our evening so special and absolutely perfect. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting El Paso. Very impressed!
Always great. Friendly folks who are attentive and interested in you. Great food and drinks.
The Italian food is the best in El Paso. Ambiance is excellent. Compared to Boston or Chicago Italian it’s a 4/5 though. The gnocchi is fresh and delicious. Eggplant is wonderful. The caprese was okay, tomatoes were nothing special but mozzarella was good. The tomato based sauces are okay, not amazing. All of the pasta dishes were good and the fruita de mara fish was good, that’s saying something for El Paso.
Wonderful service! Wonderful food!!! Hidden gem!
