Best Sea Bass I’ve had.
First of all it was my Anniversary and I had called to make reservations because we had other plans for the evening and it took over over 1.5 hrs before I got my dish. That was only because I asked how much longer it was going to take for me to get my dish it was only for two people and everybody else was getting their food. I asked to see if they could do something about it and all they offered was to give me a dessert I asked if they could at least take out the bottle of wine they purchased they said they would talk to the manager however only an ownerCan make those types of decisions I was really disappointed. This is no common restaurant I spent over $130 for two people and they couldn’t provide a better customer service experience. The next day I called to speak to the owner and make a complaint multiple times the owner was not available finally I was able to speak with a manager let them know what my My situation and asked if I could please still speak to the owner they said they would have him return my phone call at his earliest convenience it’s been three days and apparently he still has no time to call back and even offer an apology. Any other restaurant has managers on That can make decisions on staff they don’t need an owner to decide how you can compensate for providing a very unpleasant evening. I even had to cancel my plans did not finish my entire dish and left more than half of the wine bottle left. I have never experienced this type of service from any restaurant and I have gone to this restaurant more than several times a year each year how sad they do not care about their customers perspective
There food was decent but not 5 star and it was a bit expensive for what you got.
Bottom level is subpar compared to the upper level; way overpriced for the quality of the food. I have been to the restaurant before and the standard menu is far better than the special New Years Eve menu. Will probably never return
I did not get the dish I ordered, I ordered one with ham & peas, but I got a Bolognese , I think it might had peas, just not what I ordered. Food not very warm.
It was way dark and not as cheery as I remembered, but the Christmas tree was beautiful.
It’s like they were not quite ready for customers.
We were treating our friends for Christmas lunch. Two of us were satisfied & two were not.
Not what I remember for sure. Appearance seems to have gone a bit down hill.
I normally send food back but, did not want to make a scene in front of my friends. My food was just ok.
Our 5 year anniversary and they made it very comfortable and special to both of us. We thank you all.
Even when it’s not a cheap restaurant it’s worth it all the way. The food, service and environment are excellent.
Great food and service. The Sea Bass was awesome! And the owner stopping was a nice touch.
The food was delicious. The portions on my wife and daughters plates (Salmon/ Chicken) was enough for them to bring some home for later. Thank you.
Fine dining Italian cuisine. Attentive service and the usual visit by the owner/executive chef to all the tables for added personal attention.
You can taste how fresh and authentic the food is. Very friendly staff and chef.
If you want authentic cuisine with a beautiful dining experience, this is thee place to go.
The food and service were excellent. Menus are looking old and tattered. Interior could use a little updating.
MiPiaci consistently serves a delicious meal with excellent service.
Avoid. I will be completely up front: I didn’t not eat here so I can’t comment on the food or drinks.
New in town and decided to try a new place before seeing Gipsy Kings concert. We selected Mi Piaci. Upon arrival, we were unsure of the front door. The porch to the side was run down and dilapidated looking, possibly prepping for haunted house tours. Stepping through the front door we noticed tiles missing, broken door handles and nasty floors.
For some reason we continued inside. Attendance was sparse for a Saturday evening. The whole vibe was “this was redone 10 years ago and not a penny spent since then”. Hostess sat us down to menus that were literally falling apart. As I grabbed my chair to scoot it in, there was a mystery substance on the side. Nice and sticky, clearly been there awhile. My wife and I have had our share of bad experiences, looked at each other and unanimously decided this wasn’t the place for a nice relaxing date night, bottle of wine and ambiance.
If everything else is falling apart, filthy and unkept, I assure you that the food will be mediocre at best. Not the dining out experience we were looking for and ultimately went to Anson11.
Best of luck to all who enter.
The service and food was delicious.
This was my first visit to the restaurant for an impromptu date night with my husband. Our server, Sarah, was so friendly and helped us make decisions for every course by providing information about specials and recommendations. We decided to split each dish so we could enjoy more of the menu, and the kitchen was happy to oblige! We had the Gorgonzola Pear salad, a fettuccine pasta with shrimp and a creamy pesto sauce, and Seabass with a creamy carrot sauce. Each dish was just as delicious as the next! We finished the evening with the tiramisu and a cappuccino. Everything was delicious, and we look forward to our next visit!
Mi Piaci is one of our favorites in El Paso. We don’t live there anymore but love going back and having Cosimo cook Italian food from his recipes growing up in southern Italy.
We introduced some friends to Mi Piaci and they loved it too.
Not very busy, only three tables seated.
Had appetizers and soup. Food was okay.
There were not nearly enough servers for the amount of tables there were, for an actual fine dining experience each server should have no more than 5 tables each. Our food arrived and it was clear it had sat under the heat lamp for a while. The space was also very crowded and so loud that my husband and I couldn't hear each other.
The wait staff was friendly and coped as best as they could but the whole experience was not worth what we paid.
I would eat there again if invited, but I won't be making the reservations.
It was good. The osso bucco was very good! And the creamy cauliflower soup and salads were excellent as well. The veal picatta lacked some flavor. We really enjoyed the desserts and coffee! Service was very good too! Overall a very good experience for a nice celebration!
Great service, friendly staff. Salmon entree was somewhat cold but they fixed it.
The menu has a lot to offer, and I have never had a bad meal. Sometimes the service is spotty, but the food keeps my family coming back for more.
This was our anniversary dinner. We were seated in a cozy quiet corner. Excellent wine and meal with very attentive service and special complementary special dessert. Very pleasant experience.
Truly delicious food- the best Carbonara I've ever had! Ambiance was somewhat lacking - we made a reservation and were seated in a dimly lit corner with no decor or flowers on the table.
This restaurant never fails us! The atmosphere, service, and food were fantastic!
While the host and wait staff were wonderful, the food left wanting.
Mi Piaci in El Paso, TX, serves Italian food that tastes like it was made in the east coast. East coast Italian food is the best in the US. Mi Piaci’s food is delicious and plentiful. The service is very professional and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a great meal and atmosphere.
I have never had a bad meal, almost a perfect atmosphere and delicious REAL Italian food
It’s always nice to have dinner at Piaci. Food is always good and service outstanding.
Celebrated my wedding anniversary and my wife and I were ver pleased with the service as well as the beautiful decoration in our desert saying happy anniversary.
Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!
Mi Piaci is a very good restaurant. The food was great and the service as well!
Food was very good. You need to do something with the floor. I read it was a $$ restaurant so We took our Grandson. Also our first time there. Painted concrete just doesn’t look attractive at all.
Delicious food, but marred by poor service. We were honoring a special occasion and had hoped for an excellent experience. While the food itself was great, we had an overall subpar meal because of the lack of attention from our server. The restaurant was practically empty for a Friday night, so that could not have been the problem. At one point, we finally called over a woman who was possibly a hostess or maybe a manager and asked about our server’s whereabouts...she informed us that maybe he had gone home?! (He did appear as she was telling us that news...) Anyway, it’s a shame that one of the few quality Italian restaurants in El Paso offers such an unprofessional staff. On the positive side, our server was very friendly; he was just nonexistent after he dropped off our meals.
The quality of food did not match the cost. The waiter was pushy and cared more about trying to increase our ticket rather than serve. He offered soup or salad when we ordered our entrees but did not mention that they were a separate charge. Also $4 for soft drinks and tea? Way overpriced. The entrees were not very good. I love Italian food and the food was mediocre.
Everything was great! We knew a Monday night would probably be a little quiet but we both enjoyed the evening very much. We celebrated my wife’s birthday. She really loved the desert with the candle it was a nice gesture. The food was incredible!! Our waitress was so kind and very attentive. We will definitely be back in the near future.
Food was cooked very well. Presentation was elegant. Ambiance was so so. I lived in Italy and the decor did scream Italy. Felt like a sports bar - completely unexpected. And, so were the flies. We were indoors, so we shouldn't be shooing flies. It was so annoying that when asked if we needed anything else, many responded with a fly swatter. Me u offer authentic Italian food, not the typical cookie cutter all you can eat bread and salad. Overall, 3 star food in a 2 star setting.
When making the reservation a Birthday was mentioned for my girl friend and we got nothing. Not even a dry piece of cake. Other than that the food was good but maybe a little over priced. We had to wait 20 minutes for the check. I had to keep waving at him before he responded and when he did he wanted to know what I wanted. I will go back but not to celebrate a birthday.
Way too expensive! The meat was grossly undercooked! Will not return
