ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The Bartender I had was amazing. She was totally fantastic...fully aware of the menu...and was just totally hospitable... I would totally have gone to her again
Very nice upscale Mexican food
Everything was fine. Nothing about the food was exceptional. A bit over priced for slightly above average food. But the service was really good
Mi Casa is not a Mexican restaurant. It is some kinda wannabe but doesn’t know how. I had sangria which was so sweet I had to ask the server to put seltzer water in it (it was still too sweet). My husband had a margarita which was pretty much water. I had an enchilada stack and my husband had rolled enchiladas. The sauce was pretty bad, not Mexican but some maybe upscale version of a red sauce and green sauce. There was lots of chicken in both the stacked and rolled. We had a cheese appetizer. The cheese was so tough that it was difficult to cut with a steak knife. Actually when the server put the cheese on the table - he walked away. We had to ask another server to give us plates and he came back with the serving utensils and plates (nice of him). I so wanted to find a good local Mexican restaurant but Mi Casa is a long way from good. We won’t go back. Too bad.
Amazing experience from the food to the service to the atmosphere!
I ate here for the first time and now will become a regular. Mi Casa is all you want in a neighborhood restaurant - a friendly, comfortable vibe, great food and service, good value. The food is ample, well presented and really good. I ordered enchiladas, my friend had shrimp and steak fajita and we both praised our choices. The service on a busy Saturday night was outstanding. Our waiter was friendly, patient, courteous, describing dishes and helping us make choices. The manager stopped by tables, greeted everyone and made us feel special. We had an outside table so conversation was easy, a big plus for us. Definitely will go back soon.
Perfectly fine meal. Nothing super memorable except guacamole was a touch creamy for my liking
Wonderful. We really enjoyed the food and the service. Highly recommend
Friendly service, cute ambiance, good food. A little pricey for what we got.
We enjoyed ourselves from start to finish. Jade was a perfect guide...giving us great recommendations for drinks, appetizers, and entrees.
Food was delicious! Service was quick and efficient. The only downfall was the mosquito infestation. They need to offer bug repellant to make for a more pleasant experience. Other than that it was a good time!
Mexican cuisine is a family favorite & my family & I were hankering it. We did a search & chance discovered Mi Casa near DuPont Circle & was so pleased with everything about it, my family & I chose it to be our last night in DC dinner before flying back home.
Going twice was best choice we made everything we order was delicious- very fresh & flavorful especially the Carne Asada & shrimp & avocado cocktail, the service & management was beyond top notch with friendliness & kindness by Omar, Melvin & Manuel, the atmosphere for indoor or outdoor seating was comfortable & clean.
Mi Casa is our new favorite restaurant & will be 1st place we go to when returning to DC
We enjoyed our dinner at Mi Casa. The cocktails were excellent and the service was perfect. We had the brisket and fish tacos, which were good. It was a lovely night outside.
Our waitress was so cool and we loved her!
Great customer service! Delicious drinks!
Great service, lovely ambiance. The food was good, except tacos, that were under seasoned and overcooked. But the waiter rectified the situation by accepting the dish back and letting me pick a new entree. Ceviche was absolutely stunning, one of the best I’ve tried.
Mi Casa is new to the DuPont area and is a great place to relax, enjoy good food and be treated amazingly. We have eaten at Mi Casa twice and both times had Melvin as our waiter. Be sure to ask for him - he is one of the best waiters we’ve ever had and will definitely ensure you have fabulous service. This second visit we sat in the interior patio and it was such a beautiful night, they opened the large windows - wonderful ambience. We will definitely be returning for another wonderful evening.
Service great , food no the best and overprice
I went to Mi Casa for restaurant week and while ive been to quite a few tex-mex places, Mi Casa is right up there at the top. First the chips are perfectly crispy, a good chip at a tex-mex restaurant will tell you how good the food will be. The puree salsa was fantastic as well, not too spicy and not too many seeds.
After the chips, they brought out the jicama and orange crudeité which was also good, not really my thing but they sprinkled it with Tajín and Tajín makes everything taste amazing. The crudeité was flavorful and sweet, it was a nice twist.
Next came the salad, it was a salad, it was good but I wish it had a a little bit more dressing. In the salad was a mixture strawberry and mango with fried onion for a bit of crunch.
Then came the fajitas......they were exemplary. The fajitas were chicken, steak and shrimp. All were well seasoned, had a bit of char that gave a little bit of a smokey flavor and flavorful. The chicken wasn't dry and actually tasted fresh, the steak came out medium rare which is not how I eat my steak but they cooked it a bit more and it came out perfect after. The shrimp was CLEAN, seasoned and juicy and it came with a grilled cornbread situation that was a welcomed surprised as it was crispy on the outside but very moist on the inside.
I got a moscow mule with titos which was a fairly good but not the best I've had.
For dessert they had churros which was probably the only let down of the entire meal. The churros tasted perfectly like churros but they were hollow and crunchy like the cinnamon twist nonsense that Taco Bell used to or still does sell as churros - but honestly only one restaurant makes a decent churro in the DC area.
My server was Camille and she was fantastic, not too pushy but she checked on the table at reasonable intervals so you knew she was there and attentive.
I'll be coming back to Mi Casa, the restaurant is new and I hope they stick around because there can never be too many tex-mex restaurants.
Delicious restaurant week dinner with way more food than is possible to consume in one sitting. We appreciated not feeling rushed and having time to enjoy the various courses.
Our waitress Natasha was sweet, had a great sense of humor and very attentive. Highly recommend
Great atmosphere, staff is well trained, service was great, food was excellent - especially the appetizers and the tacos!
My husband and I tried their tasting menu for restaurant week and loved every single dish they brought out. We got so much food for a great price! Our servers were also on their game!
Mi Casa serves good food. The guacamole is enough to go here and try the rest of the food. We visited during D.C. Restaurant Week. We were seated for the 7pm reservation, promptly. Service was OK. It became more clear that as more diners departed from eating the service improved. Food we ate: fajitas (shrimp, chicken, steak, veg). The serving platter(s) + the dinner plates could not fit on the small 2 top table offered by Mi Casa.
The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and attentive
Really great new spot for Mexican in dupont circle! Well done all around-
My pal and I had the most amazing meal for restaurant week! Each and every dish was outstanding and we were floored by the crudite and the churros. The frozen cocktails were A+++. Can't wait to come back!
Everything was perfect. I got to the restaurant well before my reservation in the hopes of getting an outside table. The hostess kindly sat me even though the rest of my party had not yet arrived. The waitress and managers were extremely attentive throughout our meal, and most importantly, the wait staff came by with frequent water refills, a must on a hot night on the patio! The food was delicious. We all can't wait to go back!
Entire staff was amazing. Couldn’t recommend enough.
MiCasa is without a doubt the freshest and best tasting meal I have eaten in DC
Wonderful experience! Fabulous food!
Our server was wonderful, personable, knowledgeable, attentive, but did not overdue it!
We say outside and the ambiance is very pleasant.
I had shrimp fajitas and they were awesome.
Wonderful food, great ambience. Sat outside, tables are really close together. Plus the people at the table were loud which didn't help.
Over all grat experience.
Mi Casa is a great addition to the neighborhood. Our server Orrin was terrific and Wendy, one of the managers, stopped to make sure all was well. The patio is a very comfortable and inviting space. Our Tex-Mex selections were well prepared. We'll be back.
Amazing food and loved the ambience.
Wonderful food and great service and nice casa is so pretty in its decor and bar...but the food is the biggest reason to return.
Great new restaurant in DuPont. Inside it’s almost unbearably loud but the covered patio and outside area is delightful. Our server, Jane, was excellent and the best deal is the Fiesta at $39 pp, apps, salad, fajitas, sides and churros were a hit. Great start for ta brand new restaurant. Will definitely return.
My date recommended Mi Casa because he wanted to try this out before it became too popular. When I looked at the overview, I was not excited about it being a Tex-mex restaurant, but I agreed to dine there. Mi casa has completely transformed my view of Tex-Mex/SW US cuisine. The location is great and the decor is absolutely beautiful. The hostesses took care of us immediately and the GM walked us to our table and was absolutely attentive. Jade was a great server. She had a kind and welcoming disposition. She made amazing recommendations and was prompt and concise with our orders. Drinks were delicious, no complaints there. The food was amazing! Be sure to order the ribs. My boyfriend moved some of his ribs around and the meat fell right off the bone. I got to take a bite of his meal and was in love. My steak salad was very good and I would not hesitate to order it again. Jade brought over the dessert menu and recommended the Mango dessert, this did not disappoint. We wish we could have finished it, but I’m still dreaming of the dessert. The pricing is good, we spent about 110 with three drinks, two entrees and a dessert. I’ve already recommended the restaurant to my close friends and look forward to returning in the future.
Unable to accommodate food allergy so left without any options except crudités, green salad and plantains!!!!!!
Great service and the food was delicious. We got La Fiesta for two and it was so much food - would recommend if you’re hungry. The cocktails are great too - We had La Frontera with Mezcal which is similar to a margarita and La Moda which reminded me of an Old Fashioned with Mezcal. The ambience is nice inside and when you step in it feels like you’re transported to the southwest with earth tones along with Cacti painted on the walls.
