We were seated in a corner next to fire exit and service area. Waited 25minutes to get a drink. Ignored for whole night. Had to try attract staff attention if wanted anything including trying to get bill and paying it. Food was good when it came but restaurant very badly managed

Food was excellent, but portion size wasn't huge. Staff were excellent, attentive and helpful. The restaurant is very well presented, decor is modern,understated and with just enough tartan to ensure you know you are in a scottish restaurant but not shoved down your throat.

I would recommend to friends, had family over from Ireland for my daughters birthday the food was excellent the girl serving us was friendly and considerate and we had a lovely time we were not rushed out after finishing our meal and staff were helpful we will be back

Excellent food and great service, thank you. The food was delicious, in very good quantity and arrived promptly. The beer selection could have been a bit better, with only one alcohol-free option (and not particularly enjoyable). Service was prompt and courteous. Prices were good for the quantity served. Will definitely come back.

Both the fish & chips and the crofters pie were very good; the vegetarian lasagne was a bit too tomatoey and runny. Service was polite and friendly. Ambience was a little dark (we were in at 2.30am) which made it slightly difficult to read the menu. Cheesecake was very nice but could have been improved with some fresh cream; apple pie was excellent although custard could have been warmer. Will certainly return.

Steak was a little chewy, mussels could have had more flavour but were nice and plump. Please serve with bread to mop up sauce! I had to ask for some. Staff did provide with no hesitation so thank you. Consider a cheeseboard, I’d be in heaven. Thank you.

My first visit, service was prompt and the food was lovely. There were 4 of us and we each had a starter & main, 1 dessert 2 coffee and 3 alcoholic drinks and the bill was under £160. The food was very tasty and warm and there were no complaints. Our table was booked for 6pm and we were done by 7.50pm. I would recommend this place to friends.

There was a bagpiper at the main door making a lot of noise, he then came inside to entertain (I think downstairs) but it was noisy as a result. He was only there 30mins before leaving. After he left, the atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. The service was great, attentive waitresses and friendly. Food was super, went for the Sharing Steak platter and was perfect amount for 2 with the sides, steaks were cooked medium-rare to perfection as requested and the sides and sauces were delicious.

Quite simple cooking, but nicely done. The service was good but a bit rushed. We were asked what we wanted to drink 3 times before we even had a chance to look at the list. (Why do restaurants do that? Mharsanta has a long and impressive cocktail list. It’s going to take a bit of reading.) There was hardly any gap between starters being cleared away and main courses arriving. However, all the food was well made and presented, and it was tasty. The Cullen Skink was even better than my own home-made recipe, so chapeau to the chef for that.

Good food, not too expensive, good list of drinks including cocktails, beer, wine, soft drinks. Check the menu on the website before you go - you should be able to find something you like, but there are more "dishes that have been made Scottish by adding haggis" than there really should be. Will be on my list of places to go back to in future.

This was my first visit to this Scottish themed restaurant. The staff were very welcoming and the food and drinks were served quickly but not so much that you felt rushed. We were in a booth and the lighting was low had to use phone torch to see the menu clearly. Steak pie with chips and veg. Haggis, needs and tattles and Haddock and Chips. The pie meat was plentiful but a wee bit salty. Chips fab, veg good too. Fish was fresh but batter was chewy rather than crispy. We had apple pie and custard to finish, delicious. We would go back as there were things on the menu we would like to try. I think the small points raised here are minor as overall we enjoyed our night.

Great value for money with the lunch menu. Portion sizes a little on the large side, food and presentation was lovely, no room left to try the desserts. Staff very friendly and helpful, no pressure to give table back, though restaurant was quiet.

They had 1, 2, or 3 course option for lunch. It was a good deal for the 3 course. We had cullen skink (think clam chowder), haggis lasagne (didn't really taste the haggis), steak pie (average), fish (crispy not over fried). The menu seems to be eclectic where they are trying to do some modern ideas on scottish/gaelic tradtionals. The Mh makes the V sound (from Gaelic language). It was noisy when a large tour group came in.

Have visited Mharsanta several times and not been disappointed. I took 2 American friends who were visiting Glasgow on holiday to allow them to savour some Scottish dishes and it was a great experience. Staff were friendly and helpful. Never felt rushed, overall a very pleasant dining experience. also love the background music! Will be back soon.
