    I had the haggis and my girlfriend had the mussels. Both were enjoyable, although the mussels portion was slightly on the smaller side. All of the staff were very friendly though and the restaurant feels very cosy. Would recommend overall.

    Food was lovely, although the goats cheese croquets were too soft. The staff were very professional however they seem to be absent when we required more drinks and the bill. Overall though we had a pleasant lunch.

    Wir buchten ein Menü inkl. Wein das bereits bei der Buchung bezahlt wird. Der Wein wurde nur auf Nachfrage gebracht. Das Service-Personal war unaufmerksam und desinteressiert. Bei der Abrechnung wurde das Menü ein zweites Mal in Rechnung gestellt. Nach Reklamation wurde dies geändert. We booked a menu including wine which is already prepaid at the time of booking. The wine was brought only on request. The service staff was inattentive and disinterested. When billing, the menu was charged a second time. After complaint, this was changed.

    Excellent staff, super friendly and helpful. Have great food and drink recommendations. The food was amazing. Loved the haggis croquet, Mule, and sausage and beef pie. Would totally go back again.

    2nd time in a week we have had dinner here and can only say it was amazing on both occasions. The food was delicious we all had an amazing meal and the staff are brilliant also very attentive and helpful. Cannot wait for our next visit

    Service was poor, staff were not helpful or friendly. Wine glasses unclean with lipstick on them (3 glasses out of 5). Starters were the highlight of the meal, main courses appeared to be reheated (microwaved). Would not recommend.

    Lovely restaurant, great staff, unfortunately let down by the kitchen. The starters were very good. Both main courses were sent back as they were dried out and cold. We received the exact two plates of food back, which had been heated but were now drier than before. I was offered a plate of mash as even the waitress thought the chips looked disgusting. Why they couldn't just replace the two plates of food with fresh is a mystery. We were not charged for one meal. However, I left this restaurant just as hungry as I was when I went in. Certainly will not be back.

    Very friendly and a helpful staff, service was quick and efficient. Food was nice….cocktails delicious. Ladies toilets need attention ASAP. Damp smell was awful the toilet on the left hand side the lid of seat was broken and on the floor and the seat was loose too. Not sure how long it’s been like that but it’s not good.

    Food was decent, if slightly overpriced. Haggis lasagne was tasty, but barely had any haggis. Service wasn't great, we waited quite a while for someone to even take a drinks order. It wasn't particularly busy either. Staff weren't that attentive during our meal, and only one of them actually came across as being cheerful. We would probably give it another go but won't rush back.

    Lovely welcoming atmosphere superb food with fantastic quality ingredients and their nuttella cheesecake is even better than my own I make service times are great not slow but yet not rushed either highly recommend

    Family day out, the food and drinks were lovely, and the staff were very helpful as when the food arrived pepper had been added to my mums and she is a very fussy eater. The staff were very helpful and something else was made for her instead

    Loved the Scottish theme, from decor to music to menu options. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Food was very tasty and a variety of starters & main courses to choose from (we were too full for desert!) Good location in the Merchant City. It had a very relaxed feel to it which was lovely. Have recommend Mharsanta to family and friends and would definitely return.

    The restaurant looks lovely on first impression and we were shown to a nice booth table and brought water. Pretty much everything after that was either fair or dreadful! We were asked for our drinks order three times in three mins by three different staff, then barely saw anyone after that and had to almost shout to get any attention. Food looked fine, but everything was under-seasoned, shoddy (prawns not de-veined, plates cold), and not quite up to the descriptions (no langoustine on risotto). Service was really bad… served only 3/4 starters, left empty glasses on the table, no condiments, no finger bowl or plate for seafood, multiple staff just walking past, toilets were filthy and not cleaned/tidied at all. Issues were mentioned as they occurred (didn’t complain) but no apology or acknowledgment. And it was over-priced (£170 for 4 x starters & mains, 6 beers, 2 house red). Will NEVER visit again.

    No real ambience when we went in. Was seated at a table which was freezing every time the door opened. The waitress very happily moved our table. Very very basic fixtures and fittings. Certainly not a special occasion place. They did not have what I wanted on the menu which was a huge disappointment as this was why I picked this restaurant! My husband asked for a medium rare steak and when it arrived it looked like shoe leather. It was sent back and after quite some time another one came (medium at best) but we didn’t have time to send it back. The presentation was ordinary! Very kindly the waitress did take 50% off the steak on the bill so we were happy that it was acknowledged. On the plus side my seafood risotto was utterly delicious and a huge portion!! Our waitress was very attentive and so apologetic re the steak. She totally agreed with us. Not sure if we would return. There was nothing particularly exciting about the decor, food or atmosphere.

    Food was excellent as always but took far too long to initially be served starters and then extended gap before main meal was served. Staff recognised issue and kindly provided a complimentary drink which was appreciated. I feel that when larger groups come in as part of a prebooked tour, this should not impact the experience of other diners.

    Service here was great but food very disappointing. The black pudding with our scallop starters was burnt. The "30 day matured steak" was chewy and really fatty. The garlic butter sauce came out cold like it had been frozen and not heated up properly. My husband had the chicken Balmoral and there wasn't enough whisky sauce and the potato accompaniment was dry.

    This is a lovely restaurant in the Merchant City area of Glasgow. My partner and I went for their homemade steak and sausage pie. It was so delicious. A restaurant not to be missed. Great service from the staff.
