Best Japanese restaurant in Houston.
Great food, excellent & fast service, good idea to make reservations, perfect dressy casual date night! I loved the Toro Osaka Box, and the Spicy Tuna rolls! Great Sake too
Such a great atmosphere! Excellent food for a decent price
Was visiting & wanted to try it out.. Amazing! Best sushi I've ever had & ambience is great! A must try!!
Always creative and delicious, and the service is excellent. A very nice venue.
It wasn’t great and it was terrible just ok. Felt like it was highly overpriced for what you got. Great service and beautiful ambiance.
Food was amazing...Tope notch sushi..Great atmosphere..Couldnt ask for more..
My husband and I sat at the sushi bar and had a meal of a lifetime. I had the delicious Ancho cocktail before deciding to have the tasting menu for dinner. We were treating to one or two pieces of the best of the best, so many courses I lost count. The fish was cut expertly in front of us. The quality of fish was exquisite; the attention to the perfect toppings obvious in both the presentation and coupling of flavors. I can barely wait to return. I hesitate to call it a meal of a lifetime, because I don’t want to experience this only once!
Delicious sushi. Amazing quality fish. Moderate noise level. Chic vibes. Staff slightly inattentive and I’ve noticed this every time I’ve dined here. Overall great food though so I have returned many times
The food was exceptional. The service was great - wait staff had a good sense of humor, although they were very busy. They were also knowledgeable about everything on the menu. Really loved this experience!
Great service and amazing food as always!
Everything was great
Some of the best sushi we have had anywhere. We always have wonderfully fresh fish and the staff is fantastic. While the omakase is great, if you want a hand just ask your waiter. They can guide for you.
The wagyu was pure fat .. basically spit out each piece, told waiter.. it was a $90 mkt price. He said he would discuss w chef. No follow up except a full bill. Tasted like just eating the fat you cut and set to the side on a ribeye.
Delicious fresh food & great service. The only pain point is we needed some change from the bar to tip the valet and the service there was not as friendly. Also, the valet was in a rush to service another person who was 3 persons behind our ticket. Instead of waiting for me to get in the car and tip him, he skipped my friends who were behind us & ran to service the white couple 3 persons in line. Not a good impression to leave the restaurant but overall restaurant experience was nice. Adrian our server was good as well.
Excellent atmosphere, food, and service. Every roll was different and delicious
Excellent in every way. Neat and innovative sushi offerings. Some live fish.
Expensive, but you get what you pay for.
Great place. Wonderful service. 2 managers cane checked on us. Food was fantastic.

Great food and great fun
Best sushi in Houston, this is great authentic Japanese style sushi. The food was amazing, the fish was fresh and of high quality, you could tell the chef's put pride into their craft of making amazing food.
dank as heck! esspensive as heck!
MF Sushi is a great location for a special occasion.
We were away for a spa weekend. We tried the omakasa menu, it was amazing.
Excellent but very expensive.
Great service and menu
So I don't know if we are just spoiled by places like Uchi and Kata Robatta? But I was so excited to eat here, given all the positive reviews. It was... ok? I mean, sure, it's fresh, but you can get that at a lot of places. Completely NOT innovative. If you're looking for the basic but fairly fresh sushi and want to pay almost top dollar, then this is it (I guess). I don't think it's even fair to say this is some sort of simple, authentic fare because there's avocado in everything, and they don't put avocado in sushi in Japan. If you're looking for complicated and layered flavors, take the time to book Uchi in advance or wait in line. Because MF was just a cut about your normal strip mall sushi joint and I was sort of mad since we live in the 'burbs and even though I didn't care about the $130 bill for 6 dishes, I did care that we drove 45 minutes to get there. During the whole meal, I was like, "well, maybe dessert will make up for it." They literally have *nothing* but mochi. Give me a break. It was also so obviously from a frozen box a la hmart too, not even house made. This place is trying to be what it's not. I would not recommend.
Authentic and yet modern display of dishes. Be aware that omakase needs to be set up at least a week before to reserve a spot.
Remarkable menu and cuisine
Best sushi place in Houston. Period.
Authentic, top quality, creative dishes, outstanding service.
This was out first time to MF Sushi and it was very enjoyable. The food and service was excellent.
It’s always amazing. Every time we go. The best in Houston.
This is outstanding sushi. Not nouvelle sushi that is served at other places in town. We are lucky to have this quality in Houston.
Fabulous food, beverages and service
