Menu choice was excellent -- many specials in addition to regular menu. Service was very good. The potato pancakes and crab cake apps were delicious!! The Weiner Schnitzel was very good although the amount of salt could have been reduced -- and also on the potatoes. Strudel was outstanding. We'll come again but just mention to server to limit the amount of salt.
This was our 2nd time dining at Mezzo, and the food was delicious both times. I always like the options available on the specials board. It does seem like there is a bit of lag time between courses, but the waitstaff are polite and professional. Overall we really enjoyed the meal.
My wife and I have eaten here a number of times. Every time the food and service has been great. Noise level is generally low, this time there was a table who were obviously celebrating.
Highly recommend Mezzo.
Service was terrible! Had a reservation and were seated for 10 minutes before waiter arrived. Another 10 minutes to get beverages. Entrees and salad arrived at the same time. No bread service until meal had arrived and the dessert we ordered as instructed was not ordered by our waiter and we were told “sorry we just can’t get it”.
The food was good and I’ve eaten here before and never had this experience but felt as though we were stuck in a corner and no one cared or checked on us at all.
I will give it one more shot but for the money I personally expect better service.
This place isn't very big so get your reservation in early to try their amazing food. Definitely my new favorite place to eat in Mount Pleasant. The restaurant is owned by a local couple who we had the chance to chat with prior to our meal. Staff was incredible and I left there stuffed. This place is currently a hidden gem but it won't be long before word gets out.
Amazing dinner!!!! Great service and great food. The Apple Strudel was excellent
Wonderful food in a European style Bistro. Can’t wait to come back again.
Celebrated my birthday and was a great dinner as usual. My favorite restaurant in the Charleston area from appetizer, dinner and dessert!
The space and the staff were very nice. To our taste, the food was good but just did not have any Wow to it. We were there on Schnitzel Tuesday. the Schnitzel was good but nothing special. The potato pancakes were greasy and not at all crispy and we got 2 small pancakes and a little bit of salad for $16.
Outside dining and they offered cozy blankets! Much appreciated as it was a little chilly. Started to rain and they were able to move us under cover. The spaetzle app was really good, as was the mozzarella/tomato tower. Very busy but would recommend. We plan on returning as the food, service and ambience were really, really good!
Wonderful evening and the food was beyond fantastic!!!!
Food was phenomenal. Will definitely be going back. Service was slightly slow, but we enjoyed just hanging out & drinking while we waited. We had a very kind waitress who was incredibly attentive to making sure we had enough water & drinks while we waited.
Enjoyed the Whole experience
Looking forward to going back
food was excellent, service not so good. The server either was new and untrained or just didn't care. A very long wait for our food and they may have been shorthanded in the kitchen. We will have to go back on another night when it isn't so busy. Will try a different waiter.
Food was excellent- tasty and plentiful. Dessert was amazing. Service was a little disjointed but still good.
Excellent food, nice vibe, seated outside in a nicely reclaimed front of restaurant. Nice menu (outstanding veal), nice wine selections.
Although the menu is a little limited, the food was amazing. Our server was attentive and pleasant. The atmosphere was very nice, although my personal preference is a little more privacy. They have the contemporary setting of a long bench against one wall, which accommodates many tables (sufficiently separated) down a row and single chairs on the other side. They serve beer and wine. They do not serve mixed drinks other than wine mixes. I had a bellini, which was very good, but a bit pricey.
Excellent food, service and ambiance
This was our second visit to Mezzo. We like the variety of daily specials; there are many in addition to the regular menu items. The food is fresh and prepared to order which allows for a delightful "date night" fostering good conversation in a relaxed environment. It is a small space so we were happy to be seated next to a quiet-ish couple since we can easily be distracted. Perhaps request the front, back or outdoor tables if this is important to you. We'll be back.
Always great and love the daily specials. It’s my new favorite in Charleston!
First time here. Nice ambiance, good food lots of specials
What a find. Can’t wait to return!
Food was delicious. Ambiance was divine. Service was fantastic!
Good price for the quality and quantity. Looking forward to my next visit.
Menu variety and food quality was outstanding. Service was friendly but slow.
Dinner for four - we shared a mixed cuisine of German, French and Italian. All great. JR was a terrific server. Have been here before and will keep coming back.
Fabulous find!!! Looking forward to returning soon!
Great (newish) restaurant. A great addition to Mount Pleasant food and beverage scene. Hidden gem for those looking for Downtown quality, but hate dealing with parking and hassle of the downtown experience.
Exceptional service, however we didn't think the food was that fresh. The spaetzle noodles seemed a few days old, and the boiled chicken on top was not very appetizing. The veal schnitzel was a poor cut of meat (very dark in color) and incredibly greasy. Schnitzel should be thinly breaded and crispy instead of soaked in butter. The side that came with the schnitzel, the potatoes with bacon, seemed heated up in a microwave and did not compliment the main course well (too much grease). Something green on the side would have been nice. For a $200 meal without any wine, we thought the food quality was really cheap. We were also charged $16 for 2 non-alcoholic beers when it is typically $2.50 a piece at fine restaurants. We both felt a bit sick the next day from the greasy food.
Awesome food, great service! What a fun find for out of town foodies!
The food is amazing and the presentation is photo worthy every time
Absolutely delicious food!! Excellent service and everyone noticeably following the COVID rules. My newfound favorite local restaurant!!
Fabulous food and attentive staff!
While the menu may look limited, the specials they have written separately on a chalkboard which they move around, is extensive! Really, really good food! Their wine pairing recommendations are also very good.
Great place with frequent menu changes.
What a wonderful meal, appetizer, entree and dessert. Made us feel very welcome and will definitely be going back to try other items on the menu.
A small intimate restaurant that is Just simply Outstanding!
We try to go to Mezzo at least once everytime we are in town. The food is always excellent as is the staff. When warm enough, we love to sit outside but inside is lovely as well and very cozy. Highly recommend
Mezzo was, as always, a delicious experience.
We got the schnitzel and chicken piccata, with a salad and wine.
The creamy garlic dressing was the best dressing I think I have ever had.
My schnitzel was so extraordinary- multi-layered in taste sensations!
Pork, potatoes, bacon, creamy sauerkraut - sauce. Yummy!
This was our first visit and we will definitely be going back. The service was good but not rushed. The food was well prepared and served hot.
