Mezze Bistro + Bar
Love the experience and meal so much went back again tonight! Fantastic food and friendly staff! A must when you are in Williamstown.
We loved everything about this restaurant! Plan on going again!
We had a great dinner at Mezze - the service, food, and atmosphere were all perfect. The tomato soup appetizer and the butterscotch pot de creme dessert were especially delicious.
Very accommodating for celuac/gluten free diet.
Wine was expensive and no Pinot Grigio. Menu is limited, but we had three different things from the main course list and everyone loved what they’d ordered!
Not very special anything But the chef was very helpful in making a dish without onion or garlic
Very nice restaurant with very good appetizers. The chicken entree was excellent but the beef shank was over cooked and a little dry but the sides and sauce were good. Deserts were average. Staff was very attentive and accommodating.
Great food. Especially loved the tomatoe soup! Nice for special occasion
After many restaurant one which serves sensible quantities of food in the plate. Which is good. better it is tasty. We enjoyed
One of the better dining experiences in the Williamstown area. Our table of 3 all ordered different entrees and were all quite satisfied. The wine list offers some nice pairings.
The entire experience was outstanding. Service, Food, Beverage, all of it was absolutely wonderful.
A little while to get our drinks but after that everything was great! Service was friendly, food (char and tagliatelle) was excellent and ambiance nice!
Food and service are outstanding. My only issue is it was very loud and hard to have a conversation. The room has no drapery or anything to absorb sound so it bounces everywhere and hard to hear the person you are talking with.
The food is very good. A few highlights were the grilled octopus (I think that was a special), the kale Caesar, and the tagliatelle. Our server was so nice, gracious and pleasant. It was a very lovely place to spend a nice night out.
An excellent experience: good food and good service in a charming environment. We shared the octopus appetizer -- sous vide'd to a perfect tenderness, then lightly coated and fried to get a crunchy exterior. Both main courses -- pasta with ragu, and short ribs -- were delicious.
this is simply he best restaurant in the birkshires
we had a lovely table a lovely waitress and a great menu..what else do you need in an upscale restaurant..nicer patrons who leave their small children at home..the food was amazing and the staff was wonderful
The food and service were outstanding. The acoustics were not great, however. It was a full house Friday evening with at least two large groups, one with at least thirty people. When they finally began to eat we realized for the first time that there was actually very pleasant background music playing. Suspect that it would be much better on some slower nights. Certainly would not stop us from going there again.
Fabulous food, wonderful wait staff. They deliver what they promise, wonderfully fresh, well prepared, healthy but very tasty choices.
Excellent place - beautiful settings, outdoor and indoor, awesome bar with great views, the place is warm and cozy, professional and efficient. We arrived an hour early for our reservation, but were accommodated for an earlier seating. Highly recommend.
Nice location, pleasant servers and good food. Nothing all that inspiring, but it was a satisfying meal.
We were looking for a quiet place to have a nice dinner and this was perfect. The setting, the service and the food were all exactly what we were looking for. Would absolutely go back again as a place for a romantic dinner or a nice setting for a small group of friends. While we did not sit at the bar it looked very inviting.
Came on a short trip from NYC. So good we debated if perhaps the trip up was already worth it, and it was :)
Ask to sit by the window in the room with the bar- it’s actually more spacious.
Absolutely yes to revisit and recommend to others. Very impressed with simplicity, freshness and sustainable local products.😎
We had a delightful dinner - the food was very special and delicious. Are only complaint was being seated in the middle all alone while all the tables around the walls and windows filled up around us - no one was seated in the middle where we were. We found this odd and made us uncomfortable.
My wife and I came up to the North Adams area for a couple days for her birthday.
Had not been to Mezze before - but thought it sounded like a place we’d like.
It was outstanding!
Great cocktails, wonderful meal, helpful service.
Top to bottom, it couldn’t have been better.
We both agreed that if we lived in the area, we’d be at Mezze once a week - maybe more.
Highly recommend it.
Wonderful service and best halibut I've ever had!!
Very small selection. The food was average. The waiter was friendly. I had stated during the reservation that it was a birthday, but no mention was made to us when we arrived. The octupus was tasty. The buttermilk crispy chicken was average.
As always—delicious food and wonderful service.
lovely setting and delicious food. when our food was delayed due to a computer mix-up they comped our drinks and dessert.
The food was wonderfuL...beautifully prepared and presented.
We had traveled to North Adams to go to MassMoca and stay overnight. We found the restaurant on Open Table and were very pleasantly surprised.
Exc ellent option in Williamstown. Very good food, simple service and drink options.
We have been in the area for the summer and everyone suggested that we have to go to Mezze. It is simply the best restaurant in the northern MA/Southern VT region. There were many wonderful aspects to the experience - the service was top notch, the atmosphere and location were perfect for a quiet summer dinner, the presentation of the food was high class. There was only one thing missing...the taste. Now mind you the food was good but it did not live up to its hype. The fries and olives for snacking lacked the zest you would expect. Our pork and salmon entrees were beautiful and full of provocative flavors but they failed to deliver a truly memorable culinary experience. Overall it was a good evening but it missed being great.
Great food. Fine restaurant. A hidden gem. Best of town.
Superb food as usual! Our server was quite slow and a little less knowledgeable than is usual for Mezzo. Maybe it was her first night?
Still love the place - it's beautiful, peaceful, and service is great. Found it difficult to find an entree this time. Menu changes, which I like, but the range of choices seemed more limited. Appetizers were the star - especially the salad with the burrata and the peaches - one of the best dishes I've ever tasted. Dessert - a blueberry/cranberry crisp with vanilla ice cream - was superb.
Great restaurant, we always love going there. Good place to catch up with friends.
Mezze is a lovely restaurant just outside of town. A rambling large older home provides an intimate setting in any of its several dining rooms, or bar. Soft candle light provides a lovely atmosphere, and windows look out on leafy green grounds that surround the old house. The service is attentive, and the menu is creative. One of us is a vegetarian: very happy with the Hen of the Woods, and the other was thrilled with the pork chop. It would be hard to imagine a finer place to enjoy a special meal in the Williamstown area. Highly recommended by this native Cantabridgian.
Scallops were excellent and the orchietta ragu was very flavorful but the orchietta was over cooked.
