The best attentive service on a busy Friday night. Head waiter, head chef, waitress, and manager were wonderful in chatting with us throughout the night about the food and cocktails offered. It was our first time dining here and will be back again.

My daughters and mom have been here several times in the past and this time they brought me and my husband. However, this time the service and hospitality received by the owner was extremely disappointing and rude. Our server was great, but it took over 20 minutes to get out cocktails from the bar. We waited almost 55 minutes for our meals once our order was taken. Portion sizes for the entrées were smaller and the prices higher. One meal arrived with only 3 small scallops for $36 dollars. On a positive, the goat raviolis were fantastic! Overall disappointment with our visit this time.

My favorite Italian restaurant in Monterey County. Always fabulous cuisine and creative cocktails. Amazing wine selection and you can also purchase retail price to take home. I high recommend.

This was our fourth time eating here and, while the other visits would have rated 5-stars, I had to lower the rating for the most recent visit. The drinks from the bar were still the best -- great selection, preparation, and presentation. But the food was a notch down from previous visits. Nothing bad, but just not "wow good" like the previous times. Service was spotty, but decent, again just not "on top of things" the way it had been in the past. Also, the noise level was such that we had a difficult time hearing each other at the table. I know this isn't the fault of the restaurant, but maybe they could look into some type of sound baffling or dampening. We'll be back, for sure, and hope we were just there on an off-night. The restaurant is still on our list of top 10 on the Monterey Peninsula.

The entire menu, including cocktails, is imaginative and delicious, making it difficult to make your selection. But I guarantee every item is worth savoring. My Beet Salad with Burrata Salad and Bucatini Ametriciano were outstanding. That didn’t keep me from eying my friend’s Mushroom and Burrata appetizer and the Clam Chowder with Bone Marrow with great interest—they were outstanding, as well. A trip back to savor more dishes is in our future.

Excellent experience start to finish, and across every aspect of the dining out experience.

It started with a warm, invitational welcome. We were given options to select our preferred seating in the stylish, designed space. All staff that we interacted with were attentive and provided well-paced, excellent service. The cocktails were aromatically vivid and very tasty. The food was exceptional, from the opening burrata al forno through the Caesar salad and pasta entrees. Mezzaluna's fresh-made approach to pasta was evident, especially in the succulent raviolis with lobster.

Highly recommend this restaurant for a great dining experience.

This was a great find. Excellent food and service. A locally owned business that is very well-oiled. Just know it is in a strip center and if you pick to eat our side you will be next to a road. As long as you know that going into it you should be good. I will definitely come back for their homemade pasta. Everything we ordered was outstanding. Very reasonably priced for what you receive, they have a full bar and a nice wine list.

Excellent menu consisting of vegetarian and other items. Service was great with the exception of the bar service. It appears that there was only one bartender and it to an inordinately long time to receive drink service.

This was our first time visiting Mezzaluna. We had heard so many good things about it so we decided to go on our anniversary last night. Wow! Delicious food and the Berry Mule was one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. The service was amazing with such friendly staff! We will DEFINITELY be back again soon. Make a reservation because everyone local knows it’s great!

Everyone was welcoming and friendly, with big smiles behind their masks. We had our dog, so we sat at one of the outside sidewalk tables. Others were sitting outside as well, as is common in pandemic times. They thoughtfully had blankets as well as patio heaters to keep guests warm, and each table had a spray bottle of hand sanitizer. The food was amazing: salad greens perfectly dressed, interesting flavor combinations, tender and well seasoned pulpo, delicious mozzarella, al dente homemade pastas. We had a couple pasta specials with local cod and chanterelles, plus the scallop pasta and the short rib ravioli. A tiramisu special was a great shared dessert. The cocktails were nice, and our server helped us pick a wine that worked with all our meals (quite the trick). And can we talk amaros? The selection was wonderful. Overall it was a wonderful experience!

We were fortunate to find a reservation that fit our needs. We arrived earlier than expected, but the hostess was still able to see us right away.
We were impressed with the variety of dishes on the menu. The service was top-notch and the food was excellent! We wished we had room to try the house-made gelato, but we were too full!
We definitely plan to visit again when we are in the area!

This was the best Italian food I’ve had for a long time. It was very busy and the restaurant is struggling with staff shortages as a lot of places currently are. However, the waitress was very aware of that and despite being rushed off her feet gave us an incredible experience. This place is a gem and will definitely be back next time visiting.

One of our favorite Pacific Grove restaurants. Always a pleasure. This trip the lamb tongue terrine special was a real treat. The speck salad was smokier than we like. The bone marrow clam chowder was as good as ever. For pasta mains we had a saffron, chanterelles, black cod special which was delicate and lovely. And a duck bolognese that was tasty, but didn't really deliver on the duck. Maybe a duck meatball would help? Do those exist? Good bottle of 2014 Borgogno 'Barbera d'Alba' Barolo DOC for a reasonable price. Another happy dinner!

The food, service, and atmosphere were great. Even the guy who brought water and bread had a fun, warm, yet unobtrusive personality. Our server, Amanda, was charming, even behind a mask. The owner stopped by after dinner before we left to chat and cork our wine for the drive home. Great wine list, diverse in source and price. My only negative was that on the menu they don't have any "special" desserts; just gelato and sorbetto, and afogato and stout ice cream float. (I'm sure they are very good, just not my definition of "special".) Our server said they did have tiramisu, which we would have tried, but it was my birthday so we had cake at home. Another time...we will be back!

Although your restaurant was very busy on a Saturday night, we got superb service from the bartender, and our young Asian helper. In combination with the wait staff, we felt very supported. Waitress was very good, but obviously stretched thin w/ customers. We marveled at the food, and the after dinner drink, amaro, was fantastic. Thank you for a memorable experience!
