Sitting on the “nexus of the universe”, bridging the East Village and the Lower East Side. Mezetto is where you can come to simply enjoy great food, fun drinks and good company. Inspired from the word 'Meze' which refers to a selection of small dishes served in the Mediterranean as breakfast, lunch or even dinner. It is our take on tapas-style dinning, offering small plates meant to be shared amongst friends to create an social dining experience. We are focused on taking traditional flavors and cooking styles of the Mediterranean and bringing them to life with new age cooking techniques, creative combinations and bold presentations.
Mezetto is how we do Meze.

Mezetto Ratings and Reviews
It was generally a good experience. However, the service could’ve been better. They allowed 5 people to sit at the 4-top next to us which greatly impacted the space I had and my experience. It was clear that the server favored the girls next to us as he continued to give them drinks and didn’t ask what we might want. After our time was up they didn’t even ask if we wanted more, just brought the check and walked away - we were actually discussing ordering something else. For the most part I’m a great fan of Mezetto, so I’ll definitely be back, I just hope things will be different.
It was the coldest day of the year and we were freezing our butts off because I guess they just couldn’t keep the place warm enough. Food was just great, the drinks were immaculate, the service was impeccable and we had a great time nevertheless. So when I whine about the cold you could probably just dismiss it as nitpicking.
I've been here twice for brunch and both times I loved it! The place is conveniently located right next to the train. It's on the smaller side but it creates a nice and cozy atmosphere. You never have to ask for another mimosa - they keep 'em coming. The food is ridiculously good! My favorite is their challah French toast. The hummus is also super rich and creamy. Overall, a great restaurant that every brunch fanatic should put on their bucket list.
I went there with my girlfriends for brunch on Saturday afternoon. The food was okay. I got Bacon Fritta and my friends got Kale Benedict and Charred Octopus. It's sad that they didn't have the duck dish on the menu that they used to have.. maybe it wasn't on brunch menu. It was very noisy though. We have to shout just to talk.
This was a delicious meal! We sat at a high table right by the window and got to look out and people watch. The place has a great ambiance, very nice waitress, nice music. We each had a large glass of the red sangria, great price at happy hour! We shared the buratta and lamb burger. The burger was so flavorful and came with well cooked fries. Would definitely recommend for dinner, and would love to try their brunch.
Unfortunately after searching thirty minutes for a vegan restaurant we weren't able to dine. There was an incident in the restaurant which required NYPD and so the manager offered us to sit but they were closing the kitchen in 15 minutes. I don't like to be rushed when dining so we didn't say. We went to the Cuban restaurant next door and they had great yuca fries! I mean amazing yuca fries.
I have been wanting to go to Mezetto for awhile. My birthday is actually in a couple of weeks and i was really hoping to have my birthday brunch there. Unfortunately, they do not have any availability (which is kind of a bummer bc I know all my friends would LOVE the food).
We did the bottomless brunch and it was great. I ordered the Mezetto breakfast which came with quinoa, avocado, fried eggs, bread, yogurt and a cucumber/tomato salad. honestly it was so good! my friend ordered the shakshuka and she didn't want to stop eating it.
The vibe was so chill, it's a great place to come hang out, relax- have a few drinks and people watch. Our waiter was hot too ;)
I will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu!
Doesn't look like much but what a great find. Bottomless mimosas (variety of flavors) for brunch during the week. Food was delicious too. Jose, our waiter & bartender was a delight. He kept our glasses filled & made all kinds of special flavors for us as well. Highly recommend.
Sunday brunch review: Not bad, definitely better out there. Overall it was a bit overpriced for such a small modest looking place.
Iif you're a fan of Octopus, it was tasty but they give you one medium sized tentacle for 21 bucks- not worth it. The duck skillet was excellent, flavorful and highly recommend.
Bottomless reasonably priced at 18 bucks but they give you one glass at a time. If your trying to do a boozy brunch with friends, be prepared to be waving the server down a lot. Overall, not terrible, I'd go at least once to try a Mediterranean twist on brunch but probably wouldn't go back.
