Excellent food and service. Brought colleagues for a team building dinner. Perfect setting!
Loved this restaurant! Great outside seating...The food was excellent and the drinks delicious! Service was top-notch. We are definitely going back!
First time dining out in 2021. Food and service were very good.
Overall, everything was just OK. The food was decent, the service was slow, they missed a few things (forgot a drink order, charged us for the drink order, took silverware away, didn't bring back a new set), but overall just an OK experience. Not bad, not great, just OK.
Very understaffed. Our server was quite pleasant and enjoyable, but everything was extremely slow. Drink orders, during delivery, food orders, food delivery, chip refills, all unacceptably slow. They have just changed the format of the restaurant, so hopefully these things will get worked out. We will try again, probably six months down the road.
I had high hopes for this restaurant since we traveled 45 mins to have dinner there. Ambiance was nice and the music was fantastic but we waited OVER AN HOUR to get our meals. Also the waiter got our appetizers wrong but it was okay because the guacamole was bomb. Maybe they had a lot of their staff call off because almost everyone sitting near us got their food an hour later as well. The waiters were nice though and apologized for the wait so we are willing to try it again if we just end up in San Jose for some reason.
Took almost 2 hours for food to come out and then it wasn't even good. Drinks were good but would pass on this place.
Good food. Great cocktails. Very pleasant wait staff.
Entire staff was great; welcoming and friendly. Food came out fast and delicious!
Great service Jiger was our server he was very professional and knowledgeable about the menu. I had the salmon Yucatán. I am coming back for it again!!
We waited over an hour to get our food. The waiter barely checked on us and we had to ask a different waiter to help us. We were even celebrating my husbands birthday but the service wasn’t there. We’ve been here before and it was so much better the first time. Pretty disappointed.
Mextizo has become our local favorite. We eat there about once a week. Everything is fresh and tasty. The enchiladas suizas, carne asada tacos, and fried fish tacos are cravable favorites. The queso makes a wonderful appetizer and tortilla soup is perfect for lunch or lighter dinner choice. The best thing about their food is that they make the tortillas fresh. The service is always outstanding. The decor is comfortable and the noise level is enough to not be boring but not so much you can’t visit with those at your table. Overall, if you haven’t been here, you’re missing out!
Great atmosphere and amazing service!
Long wait, terrible service, overpriced food and selection is limited.
They were taking reservations for days they were closed.....
Great atmosphere, service, food, and drinks! Their outdoor area was so welcoming too.
Outstanding service and wonderful food. Will definitely go back again and again.
The ideal place to meet up with friends. Wonderful service with great food.
Our server Miguel was great!!!
The food was very nice and the drinks were excellent. We picked the restaurant because of the outdoor patio, and it was a great spot for dinner.
Our dining experience was so good. The staff were super polite and fast with bringing out our food. The restaurant has great safety measures in place.
Staffs were very friendly. We dined inside and it was pretty quiet. Drinks were outstanding! Food were good. Restrooms cleaned.
More than half of our plates was rice, and this was for a $20 plate. I had maybe $2 worth of food on my plate, so this was very disappointing. Waiter kept calling us “Hon” or “Dear”, but at least he was efficient. I asked to go inside to use the restroom and I was turned away, this was after our county had reopened for inside dining.
Nothing special here, save your money and go to Super Taqueria where the food has flavor!
Very unique taste and food was served hot. Service was excellent and the menu was straight forward. The food was prepared to our liking. The outside patio was clean and provided good shade.
When it was a Greek restaurant we really loved the food, but now that it’s Mexican we were very disappointed! The so-called “Fajitas”was horrible and not what one would expect it to be!
I hope Mextizo opens, again. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere and the friendliness ot Mextizo’s waiters and hosts (and especially Sylvia!) has always made for a great experience.
My one complaint is the lack of tiny dishes of that excellent food, perhaps tampenadas - sometimes I don’t have that much of an appetite!
Sylvia, my fingers are crossed!
Our server provided excellent service, the drinks and the food were definitely a 5+, and last bit not least, the restaurant management’s COVID protocols were strictly endorced. Highly recommended.
I got the 4 tacos and they were delicious. Each tack was completely different. A lot of restaurants use the same sauce or slaw on several tacos. I ordered the steak, fish, shrimp and porky tacos, so good. It was so much food, I had to take half home for dinner. My husband got the El Mañanero with two eggs over easy with chorizo and a pancake and house potatoes. This was a really great deal for so much food. We also took our Maltese and he was very welcomed and enjoyed his side of bacon.
Came here for a birthday celebration and the food was amazing. The ceviche which was bright and refreshing didn't last long enough to take a picture. I ordered the Sopa Azteca, and I was not disappointed. Super comforting (even on a hot day) but didn't leave me feeling overly stuffed or weighed down. Only downside was the wicker table we sat at was filthy. Caked on food and crumbs from god knows only how many guests before us. Patio furniture is meant to be power washed every so often- I'd recommend doing so! Overall though, I would come back; just something about the patio dining and slower service leaves you feeling relaxed.
We've eaten here twice in the last few weeks, both times: excellent food! Very tasty, fresh, creative offerings. Loved also the Tamarind Sour cocktail. We also found that all the staff was excellent (had same waiter both times, Jigar, and a very welcoming crew). The outdoor seating was super pleasant (I love the olive trees, the layout of the patio, etc) and overall atmosphere enjoyable. Will return again (as we did already :-)!!
We came here dor
Exceptional Food and Drinks. Everything we tried was great from the Mole to the Chili Relleno was outstanding.
Food was good, especially the breakfast one. (Breakfast is served until 3pm). Service was very good and nice terrace to eat on.
I have eaten here at least four different times. I like the food, the service and the ambience as far as being outdoors. They have two nice patios and you're away from
traffic and not out on the street, like a lot of outdoor restaurants. Their margaritas
are very good. I really do like their food. I've had the tacos and the enchiladas and
were pleased with both.
We booked a party of 8 for dinner, and when each party arrived, we found that they were closed. Not sure who is to blame, the restaurant or opentable. But we were very disappointed as we had to scramble to another outdoor place, but all were booked.
Their patio is perfect for an outdoor brunch and good for families too
It was great! Always is!
Birthday celebration
Loved the restaurant
Birthday dinner for my daughter. She loved the food and we will be back. Felt safe as they are following all guidelines for the virus.
