   We went for the first time to celebrate our friends birthday. The food and drinks were delicious, it’s such a cute restaurant!! Our only complain is that our server disappeared at the end when we were done eating. we were waiting for a really long time and he was nowhere in sight. they were supposed to bring our friend a dessert and sing happy birthday to her, but after waiting for a long time we decided to go ask someone for help so we could just get our check and leave.

   Staff was inattentive and rude. Avoid this place at all costs.

   I had a very disappointing experience during my recent visit. The waitress was inattentive, and the food was overly salty and barely edible. I expected much better quality and service. I hope these issues are addressed to improve future customer experiences.

   Service was great. Outdoor patio was a pleasure. Margarita was very good. The food was just ok.

   Mexican Sugar in Uptown is a good value for above average Tex-Mex. The food and drinks were presented nicely and portions were plenty. We were a party of 4 had the guacamole and arepas to start. Three of us had the barbacoa tacos and one had the steak fajitas as our main. We also had the margarita flight, which is a good way to try three very different types of margaritas without stumbling home later. The food and drinks were great. We requested a booth when we made a reservation but were told we could only have it for an hour, so we were seated at a table by the window instead, Two of four chairs were not clean and the atmosphere was super loud. Lots of families and parties mixed around the dining room. In the end we all decided we might come back for lunch sometime. Not really good atmosphere for dinner conversation.

   Went for my friends Birthday brunch and we had the best experience Esme was great and super helpful would definitely book again for another group dining

    We had dinner at Mexican Sugar for a friend’s birthday, and the ambiance, service, food and atmosphere did not disappoint. Mari was our server and she was amazing, friendly and attentive. Thanks for a great evening!
