                                                                Perfect location since we were going to a show at PAC but that was about it. Ordered chips and guacamole but there’s hardly any chips. Had to order two. We ordered the empanada which was a fried tasteless mess and the chicken enchiladas which were tasteless as well. Our friends ordered the chicken tacos and the chicken was ice cold. My wife had the fajitas which were just ok. Perhaps this was just a bad night but I don’t think we would return. All in all this was a pretty bad night for Mezcal.

                                                                One positive, the frozen classic Margarita was very good. It was at least 90 degrees outside and they had all the doors open with no air conditioning. As a woman of a certain age, it was brutal. Water was room temp, had to request glasses of ice. Chips & Salsa are a side order that you need to pay for. Any other Mexican restaurant I've been to, chips and salsa are automatically brought to your table. My husband had the Carnitas tacos which he said were very fatty. I had the Enchiladas with chicken which were very good BUT "Enchiladas" were listed as $20.00 when the bill came the chicken was an extra $2.00. Did they expect me to eat Enchiladas with nothing on the inside? Also had to order rice and beans separately which were not good. Needless to say, we will not be visiting this restaurant again.

                                                                Visited for first time. Staff is friendly. Order for drinks and appetizers took a while to arrive at our table. Mango margaritas were very good. Empanada appetizer and calamari appetizer were good. Entrees were steak and fish tacos, which were very good. Place was a little warm where we sat. Would go back.

                                                                Made reservations for 5:15 on 5/30/25. We were greeted and immediately brought to a table. Order was taken quickly by Ela, our server. Ordered the Hamburguesa Azteca and Fajitas. Both were done to perfection. Food portions were plentiful and delicious. Decided to have dessert and Ela recommended the Churros which were also delicious. Bill was reasonable and service was great. We will definitely eat here again.

                                                                I've been to Mexcal several times. I've had the shrimp tacos twice before, however the amount of chopped white onions on my tacos was very extreme. I had to remove this abundance of onions in front of my first date sitting across from me, which did not add to our dining experience. I've made delicious tacos and quesadillas at home, but never white onions or so much...just a sprinkle of chopped green onions. Somebody needs to supervise better in their kitchen

                                                                This was our 2nd time here, after an impressive first visit about a month ago. This time was not as good. The service was very slow. We waited 15 minutes for drinks. Water was not refilled and we waited another 10 minutes for the waitress to collect the check. The empanadas are excellent. This time the guacamole was all onions and tomatoes. Literally, I had a huge mound of large chunks of onions I picked out of the dip. $19 for a pile of onions and tomatoes with 1/2 an avocado at the most was sad. We ordered steak fajitas and shrimp fajitas, and the proteins were very overcooked on both.
