   Always beyond wonderful when dining at Mex Cartel! The food, the cocktails, the staff [especially Barbie] make this establishment truly iconic! The food is so fresh and clean - you always walk away satisfied and the feeling that you've just put wonderful food into your belly!

   7pm winters night outside under the lights with a heater eating great tacos and drinking an estrella .... staff really attentive and friendly. Love taco Tuesdays at Mex Cartel

   Lovely small local Mexican eatery, with friendly service and terrific food. Very enjoyable getting away from the standard tourist places in Surfers.

   Incredible food, service, and value for money. The nachos were huge, delicious, and only $24. You don’t get that anywhere these days. Dinner for three, with starters, mains, and margaritas was $150, well worth it. The staff are brilliant, really enjoyed the whole night. Definitely get out and support them, I can’t imagine it’s easy at the moment with all the roadworks around, but parking on the side streets was easy, even on a Saturday night.

   Awesome food and amazing service. This is our 4th visit and will definitely be back again. The calamari is THE BEST!!

    Beef fajitas were sensational. Beef was cooked To perfection. Always lovely service and friendly staff. This place never disappoints. So Important to support these small local businesses with all the light trail construction disruption
