Food and service impeccable as always. Would NOT recommend valet when seeing a show after. It took a really long time to retrieve our car.

The restaurant week menu - fish and lavender mousse were great!!!
Jeremy is the all time best server. He knew everything and had just the perfect level of attentiveness. Will request for Jeremy next time we dine!

The entire Restaurant Week experience was very disappointing. The starter was soup and instead of informing us the kitchen was running out, we were each awarded 3 spoonfuls!

The dessert was a few pieces of dry cake from the cake pan edges that was supposed to be accompanied with a meringue. The meringue again was so small we could not see it in the darkened restaurant.

$35 for 3 courses? Overpriced, poorly prepared, and badly presented.

Always a special time. Restaurant Week menu tonight with my Soror. Took a bit of time to get in the groove with service. Waited for a noticeable while after sitting for water and server to come to the table. Once in the groove Archie gave us good service. Food was great! Potato soup was elevated to a gourmet dish. I had the pasta choice it was ok. Homemade pasta was flavorful and the addition of the baby greens was a nice freshness on top. A bit too much olive oil and not enough cheese. Shavings would have been good on the top. Tasted the catfish and it was delectable lightly breaded and baked nice size piece of fish. The best part of the meal...Lavender mousse. TO DIE FOR! Our featured cocktails were good too. Skyline Manhattan. Of course you cannot eat at Metropole without viewing the art exhibit!

As my husband & I are season ticket holder of the Broadway Across America series we often go to the Metropole for dinner before a performance. We always enjoy our meal. It is well crafted and uses locally sourced ingredients, whenever possible. The duck is always delicious. Unfortunately, the last time we went they did not have the San Pellegrino water that we usually have. Club soda was substituted, but it was not the same. There was also confusion as to the flavor of the gelato that was served us. In the grand scheme of things, these two issues are no big thing, and we will continue to patronize the Metropole, with pleasure.

The experience of a restaurant, no matter the food quality or ambiance, is shaped by the service level. I consider Metropole to be one of my favorites that I frequent and bring guests from out of town to. Unfortunately, the service level has been falling. Consider this a kind note from a fan just so it is known.
Thanks.

The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was attentive. The seating area was comfortable. The ambiance was upscale and sophisticated. The menu had many interesting and healthy options. I had the chicken entree and the cauliflower side dish. I also had the ginger ice cream which was delicious. I had both dinner and breakfast here. Breakfast was also delicious and beautifully presented. The coffee was also great. I highly recommend Metropole. Check out the really cool art gallery in the attached hotel, 21c while you are here.

Part of our party was late... Normally drop by for drinks with friends, normally excellent service. Great art features in this conveniently located spot directly across from Aronoff performing arts theatre). Then became rushed with slow service (they were not busy) to make ballet... Food was good but limited (very limited if picky eaters, I. E. Kids). Coffee just ok, perhaps should have gone with French press... Sticky buns and broccoli fritters were a nice start; my burnt carrot salad was excellent & very unique; my husband was very disappointed in his omelette yet artisan toast was a delight. Other brunch options not as great a location, but better overall.

We each had hanger steak that was delicious! The wheatberry accompaniment was also delicious. So excellent rating for main course food. We did not order appetizer, but did order desert - a semi fredo. The desert was fairly bland. I recommend they serve regular rather than smoked butter - the butter had an unpleasant taste to me. I also recommend they make the decor more attractive and warm. It is fine dining but the decor does not match that. It is not a room I particularly wanted to spend time in. But I loved the main course, and would like to see the room live up to that. The red wine was also delicious.

Our visit was to celebrate my dad's birthday. The atmosphere was relaxed and artsy, but not lively. (we did dine on a Monday evening.) The mushroom & rye rotolo and burnt carrot salad were both delicious appetizers as were our hanger steak and pork chop entrees. The server was attentive but lacked warmth/friendliness. Mousse We did enjoy getting to dine with a signature penguin and the complimentary birthday macaroons were a nice touch.

Yay Metropole! They now carry a vegan entree which was delicious. They also tried very hard to make recommendations on how to make others dishes vegan as well. I am a vegan and would recommend Metropole to my fellow vegans. YUMMY!

Great server and ambience. Unfortunately the food did not live up to the reputation or my memory of a previous meal here. The charred carrots were under cooked (raw in the center) and the scallops were heavily breaded and fried (????). The cocktails and the whipped ricotta were excellent.

Metropole 21C used to be one of our preferred spots in Cincy but we were disappointed by the lack of ambiance (we were there on a Sat from 6 to 7.30pm and it was quiet) and the food that was served lukewarm, borderline cold. After complaining, the management came towards us and took 2 entrees out of 3 from the bill which was a nice gesture. Not a great experience this time around but still the best burger in town (that meal was served perfectly :)

This was an unimpressive experience from the drinks, charcuterie, entrees, and service. I made reservations at 6:30pm on a Thursday and the place was only half full. The cocktails were small and took too long to arrive. The bread that came with the charcuterie was bland, when we asked for another options we were brought some crackers that looked like they were from Pepperidge Farm. When we asked the waiter how much longer our entrees would take since it had been over 30 minute since we placed our order and he said he had not put our order in with the kitchen because we still had the charcuterie plate at our table. I have never had a waiter wait to put in an order when you ordered appetizers/charcuterie and he did not inform us ahead of time to let him know when we wanted our entrees placed. I ordered the scallops and the other guest ordered the cheeseburger and both were just average. I would not recommend this restaurant to other diners as there are much better options elsewhere.
