My absolute favorite restaurant in all of Cincinnati The new menu is unbelievable. The beer cheese appetizer was a fun, interactive experience. The short rib was perfectly cooked and beautifully tender. The new chicken entree was this poultry lover’s perfect plate- crispy, tender and juicy. As we were celebrating a birthday, the management sent over a complimentary desert. It was an extraordinary little glazed donut. My nephew remarked, ´That ruined Krispy Kreme for life.’ We were blown away by our evening. Metropole hits on all cylinders - service, cuisine, culture and ambience.

My grandson likes this restaurant (he’s 11), but there have to be some changes in protocol. We had reservations for lunch yesterday; I began receiving reminders 24+ hours in advance, then a series of ‘warnings’: my reservation would be held for only 10 minutes, we had to order, eat, and pay in one hour or less (so that other diners could be seated). Plus more reminders! When we arrived at 12:15 pm yesterday, we were the ONLY diners in the entire room. No greeter at front desk, seat yourself sign. When I told a server about the relentless reminders that escalated to warnings, she said ‘those are automated’. That is the worst excuse ever! Then no desserts available at lunch which is now brunch. No dessert! The whole thing was off putting. Doesn’t anyone review these processes? Btw—good cheese omelet and grandson liked his breakfast meal.

Outstanding. We had a lovely dinner here before our event at The Aronoff. Our waiter was cognizant of our time limitations and orchestrated our dinner seamlessly. He was wonderfully attentive and gracious. All of our food was delicious, however the fresh asparagus salad, gnocchi and chicken dishes were outstanding. Lovely dining room and ambiance. Just loved it.

This has always been one of my favorite places in Cincinnati. Unfortunately, the current menu is quite disappointing. I hope to return once the menu improves.

We split the seasonal pea salad . Hubby ordered the short rib, I had the ricotta gnocchi. For dessert we had the cruller and the pana cotta. Yum! Everything was delicious and our server Lance took good care of us! We always eat here when we come to Cincinnati!

We had dinner at Metropole before going to a play. The atmosphere is pleasant with a pretty vibrant noise level. The energy level seemed fun. Our service was great, she was enthusiastic and friendly. We started with the beer cheese with toast which was more of a "whipped" version that I was expecting and not particularly beer flavored. We then followed with salmon au poivre and a gnocchi as entrees and both were delicious. My only thought is that the menu is a bit limited in choices.

Never offered to take a food order. Upset the Filet is off the menu. The only reason I made a reso on Mother’s Day was the filet served on truffle polenta. Bad experience all around. Been going for years, but will never go back.

We understand your frustration about the menu but I did want to inform you that Filet Mignon has not been on our menu for at least 4 years. We are searching online everywhere to see if there is an outdated menus floating around to avoid any future issues. We'll certainly look into the inattentiveness of the bar staff to investigate what went wrong and ensure this doesn't happen again. We appreciate your loyalty over the years and we're sorry that this affected your visit. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again and make your next visit a better one. The food, seemed like a restaurant trying to be too different, quirky. It failed miserably on several accounts. I wanted to really like this restaurant, but sadly this is a one and done for us.
