The food was phenomenal. Asked a special request for a birthday and they accommodated. Great for special occasions
Our first visit since Chef Miller took over, and we were not disappointed! Metropole remains our favorite restaurant in the city. Terrific ambiance, friendly and knowledgeable servers, outstanding cocktails and wine, and (last but certainly not least) the menu items are out of this world. Contemporary and unique, but not over-the-top. Simply could not recommend more.
Great food, great service, will return if in Cincinnati in the future.
Great food and great vibe. Love the art in lobby
Wonderful food, service and ambiance
We went there for an anniversary dinner and it did not disappoint! Great atmosphere, knowledgeable and attentive server, and they don’t rush you so you can have a laid back experience. Great appetizers, cocktails, entrees and dessert! One of the best steaks of my life.
Terrific meal, great wait service and interesting art.
The bread service was awful. 2$ per person for one roll each that was cold in the middle. Salads had very little flavor. Burgers and halibut were delicious. Service was excellent. Setting is special, in a modern art museum.
Good experience with delicious food and excellent Old Fashioned. Made sure we were served timely for attendance at event across the street.
Their menu has always been the best, over the top best. They now have a new chef, I looked at the menu and found nothing that made me go wow. It will be the last time we go to 21c
Fabulous food. Jeremy was a terrific server. Great art galleries. Overall, a wonderful experience.
From the greeting to exiting, everything was perfect. Our server was amazing and knowledgeable about the menu. Very attentive and fun!
Service is awesome. Food preparation and presentation is great.
Loved everything we ordered!
Two years or more since last time there. Menu was more interesting and food was fresh and delicious. The avocado and radish salad included half of an avocado that was decent sized and just about perfect. We each had beef short ribs and they were lean (at least for short ribs) but fork tender. And while the wine list was priced to show the house was enjoying some markup, some bottles seemed reasonable. Plus energy was good and the clientele lively.
It had been 10+ years since I'd last been to Metropole and I was glad I made it back. The menu was a good mix of traditional and interesting and seemed to have something for everyone. Their take on a carbonara pasta was outstanding. We also really enjoyed the crispy deviled eggs as a nibble with drinks. I will definitely be back soon to try the lamb.
We had a very nice dinner, our thanks go to our waiter Jeremy for his attention and suggestions, we had a very enjoyable experience
The environmental is beautiful surrounded by art. The cocktails were on point. Appetizers all a bit unique and delicious. Entrees were enjoyed by all at our table - great dining experience!!
We were there for our anniversary and it had been mentioned at the time of making the reservations. We were promptly seated at our reservation time and greeted by our waiter. He introduced himself and asked if we would like anything beside water to drink while we looked over the menu. Since we had already walked around the area around the hotel and had a couple of drinks, we decided to hold off on the drinks.
He then told us about the specials of the day gave us ample time to decide what we wanted to eat. I ordered the scallops and my wife ordered the special braised short ribs.
Both came out and looked absolutely delicious! I was tempted to take a photo of them, but, well, not that night. Anyway, they were as delicious as they looked. The meat for the ribs seemed to melt in your mouth, cooked perfectly. The scallops were golden crusted top and bottom and had a wonderful flavor to them. Too many times, scallops will come out white and almost under-cooked. These were perfect!
Also, our waiter apologized as he delivered to flutes of champagne to our table, compliments of the house. And it was a great addition to the meal!
Quick, accurate service, wonderfully prepared meal, the room was well lit, not too bright, but not so dark you had to strain to see your food. It did get just a bit louder as the room filled up, but you could still carry on a conversation without having to raise your voice, and not worry about the table next to you hearing it.
All in all , a wonderful evening.
Excellent service and fresh, unique entrees that were prepared and delivered quickly. Thank you for making our anniversary so special!
Everything about the meal was fantastic.
I had originally asked for the long table near the kitchen but I was told that it was not available.
We were put in a room to the side of the kitchen and in the middle of dinner, they shut the doors.
We were not that loud and we were having fun but it put me off a bit that they closed the doors.
During our meal, I noticed that the long table did not have anyone sitting there the whole time. Not sure why we weren't seated there but it was a disappointment.
We will be back again, the food was superb.
Food was amazing. The calamari is the best we’ve tasted. Not huge portions but we were pleased about that. Mains were steak and salmon, both delicious and perfectly cooked. White chocolate mouse dessert also wonderful. Service excellent. Not over priced for such high end food.
Fantastic food and service. Loved dining with our yellow penguin ❤️❤️
Lovely dinner, great service. Love Metropole.
However, metropole alway had the best tartare in the city. They need to add it back to the menu.
Our first time back to Metropole in 2 years. The new chef has done a nice job of upgrading the menu. Our two appetizers were excellent; the order of shishito peppers could easily feed two and the corn rib both delicious and unique. Our entrees: Duck and shrimp risotto we would order again despite the fact that the risotto was not as hot as it should be. Excellent French press coffee was fine finish. My partner ran an excellent cocktail; my red wine by the glass was not one I would order again, which I find to be the case virtually everywhere in town. Overall, we will find ourselves heading back to the Metropole is in order try other interesting menu items.
Haven’t been back for a year or two and was so pleasantly pleased to bring our out of town Friends to enjoy such a great experience!
Fantastic dining experience. Food was perfectly prepared. Cocktails were unique and delicious. Service was stellar. Will definitely be dining again!
I wasn't blown away by the brunch menu, but the service was great and the restaurant itself was very nice. Cocktails were good, but not amazing. Will definitely try again for dinner. Being able to look at all the art is a super fun addition!
We absolutely loved our experience. I look forward to going again. The service and food was incredible. Highly recommend!!
Great, innovative dishes. The salmon was seared to perfection. Drinks looked good also, though I had wine. Servers were nice and just attentive enough. Also, the art in 21cMuseum hotel was outstanding.
A great evening!
This was our second dining experience at Metropole, and overall a good experience. We were seated right away, but honestly the time for the server to come get our coffee - it was brunch - was a bit long considering the number of people. Finally a manager we indicated to came over and we had hot beverages shortly thereafter. Service from that point was fine. The menu seemed a bit more limited than our last trip, but the poached egg over avacado toast was very good. We did not have time to see the art at the Museum, but if you go, please ensure to allow yourself time to view the great art exhibits they have. We do recommend this for brunch, and our first visit a few months ago was stellar, so assume this time they were just a bit off their game. However, I do recommend the venue!
Graham's service was so awsome. He found us a great wine on our anniversary to pair with our meal. The service made all the difference and the food was amazing.
The service (Jeremy) and the food were first rate: highly recommend!
Chairs are far from the most comfortable. Signage - AWFUL! Service excellent and with positive, friendly attitude. My drink (call Scotch) was NOT generous, ice apparently was being rationed. Food was excellent but also NOT generous - only three (3) medium-ish scallops, 3 shrimp, duck breasts came from the 'ducks-on-a-diet' farm. Meticulously prepared, artistically plated, delicious. Raising the price a few dollars more to provide more of the proteins would not be out of line in today's environment.
The Avocado & Radish salad, in contrast, was voluminous, and the Cwispy Deviled Eggs were simply "the BEST! with a chiffony filling in CRISP egg white halves" We skipped excellent desserts, it was a Monday night and we were atoning after too much weekend. But surely at other tables they looked Grand.
The Metropole is an excellent, fun place. We will return, just not sure how soon.
Menu was slightly different than their website. Offered espresso but no flavors. Brunch seemed to be thrown together and not really thought out. Ordered items with no onions and got onions. Server didn’t check back until one meal was finished. My partner didn’t eat theirs due to the onions. No one offered any assistance nor refilled our drinks. For $60 and the reputation of the hotel my expectations were much higher than what we received. Very disappointed
Came into town from Columbus! Wanted to try multiple spots so we visited for apps and a drink. Jeremy was fantastic, his hospitality was very genuine. Beautiful restaurant/hotel with great food. Thank you!
Overall a very nice experience, Their acceptance and treatment of my dog great.
Unfortunately my dinner experience was very poor. The duck was overcooked and was either not fresh or was not stored properly prior to preparation. The rice that was served with the duck was oversalted and dry. Before I was finished dining an employee tried to remove my plate; with food clearly on it. Very unprofessional. Definetly not recommended given the low food quality and unprofessional immature employees.
We were party of 6. Shared two appetizers, crispy deviled eggs which were just great and corn ribs which we all loved. Two of us had scallops with french lentils, delicious taste. Two had the duck breast with duck fat wild rice with roasted radishes and apples. Duck was really good. Wild rice tasty but salty. The burbon barrel soy chicken was good and came with chanterelle fricassee which was Highlight of the dish. The salmon with smoked yogurt was a perfect summer dish.
