Metro Indian Restaurant
Must have changed management since the last visit 18 months ago.
The staff appeared to be under pressure, the decor had changed and the glass of wine( 3/4 glass actually) was a bit cheap skate.
No plans to head back any time soon.
Shame, food is authentic and very tasty, just nil atmosphere.
Pre-booked a table at 545pm before Adele concert. Got there to find a long line of people who hadn't booked. Although we spoke to several waiters about having a booking, we ended up being seated after the people who didn't have a booking and we were served waaaaaaay after all the drop-ins had been served their meal and had left the restaurant, which meant instead of having allowed 1 hour 45 mintues before concert start to eat our meal, we had 5 minutes to wolf down our meal and run out the door feeling very uncomfortable for eating so fast. Food was delicious, but really saddened by the lack of priortising a booking over walk-ins.
Appalling. Booking was okay, seated by 17.20 as we arrived early. Ordered at 17.35. Asked repeatedly from 18.15 re food. 18.30 table nearby who arrived much later than us were served. 18.35 table of 10 nearby served - they had been there 20 minutes! Still no response by 18.45 when we would receive food - we had to leave to attend the event on time. Very disappointed, hungry and unhappy. As well as being the Adele concert this was my mother's birthday. We expected to wait as it was so busy but that was terrible. I received a call from ajay from the restaurant the following day to apologise and he said he would send me an email for a free something on the house - he has not. I would certainly not recommend the restaurant.
Great variety of Indian food and very friendly staff. Highly recommend!
We've been here a number of times and was our first choice venue for a family reunion with relatives from interstate
Great food, good service, well priced, atmosphere a bit lacking but it was midweek.
