The steak is the strong dish, but they are very expensive. The meat is good tough! The empanadas were good, a strong comino taste that I don’t particularly like. The chorizo was great as well as what we had for desert (Dulce de leche crepes)

We drive two and a half hours to celebrate birthdays at Metro 8, a wonderful Argentinian steakhouse. That's how superlative it is! The Churrosco is stellar along with the Chimichurri sauce. The tiramisu is alway light and delicious. Cassie is delightful and makes you feel special. Cheers!

The ambiance was nice. The food was excellent! I had the lobster ravioli and my husband had a steak. Even the drinks were great. My husband is very picky about his martinis! We went at 5 on a Saturday and it was early enough to not be packed yet. One caution: if you don’t like cilantro, ask for regular butter with the bread. The staff was amazing! Top notch service!

Went to metro for the second time last night 6/2/23, booked as a surprise by my fiancee. She knows how much I love the Churrasco Steak and that we're always given great service. Would recommend to anyone wanting a great night out.

It was our first time in the new place. As we entered the restaurant, I saw familiar touches from the previous location; the candles a top the wainscoting and the 19th century fireplace, and the door way looked familiar too. The food was amazing. My husband is a ribeye connoisseur and, he agreed, it was the best steak in the area (better than Nana Steak, Stoney River or Nuestra Casa ;). Our new weekly go to for steak. Thank you!

Metro8 is one of my 2 “go to” restaurants in the area when I want to go out for a great dinner with a great atmosphere! The food is exceptional and perfectly prepared and the staff are always super. Quiet Thursday evening. Everyone was pleasant and efficient. drinks and wine offerings were good The food came out quickly and was all tasty and well presented. The steak was cooked to perfection with a nice sear and well seasoned. and the sauces were both very flavorful. Desserts were light and delicious as well.

This was our first time at Metro 8. We found the seating a little tight, but not a problem. The owner welcomed us and took the lead in serving us. Although we got additional great service from Matt and Elliott. All four of us felt the meal was excellent and enjoyed everything we had. We would definitely go back. The owner also owns Dogwood Bar and Grill on Roxboro Rd which is closer to us, and we do frequent. Since we think the food there is excellent, we were not surprised at how good Metro 8 was. If there was to be a complaint, it would be we all thought the streak knives were dull and could use sharpening. But that was a minor thing. Thanks Metro 8 for a great evening.

As always, Metro8 is spectacular. The best meat you can eat in North Carolina is the Churrasco. No other restaurant can beat it! The Argentinian flavor is real. Great service from our server. I reaffirm this is in my top 5 restaurants and will come back as always!

Made a reservation for four at 7p. Parking lot was packed when we arrived, but the dining area was only sparsely filled. Little did we know that there was a private party of 20-30 in their back room. Wait staff appeared within a reasonable amount of time to take orders. Empanada and sausage appetizers were really good, and we were looking forward to the main course. Good thing we were catching up with an old friend, else we would have noted the passage of time. Still waiting for our food at 8:30, when I discreetly found our server to say/ask, “ok, I see you have a private party back there, but can you give me any sense as to when our food will be out? Our friend has an hour drive home.” To which there was no response but the lame explanation that they were serving a large party 🤦🏻‍♀️. Food finally came out around 9p. Lobster ravioli was only four pieces, which didn’t satiate the very hungry 17 year old boy. Churrasco steak that was requested to be medium rare was very undercooked, which I risked sending back to have it cooked slightly longer (thankfully it came out quickly). The food was very tasty, only compliments to the cook. But we were sooooo underwhelmed by the service and shocked that the restaurant didn’t even offer a complimentary drink or dessert to compensate for our incredibly long wait. With all the fabulous places to try in Durham, I wouldn’t risk this place again.
