The Met Bar has wonderful burger options for all types of burger afficionados. You can have the option of a beef, salmon or veggie type burger with a wide menu of great topping or special versions with an international flare. In addition, one can order the burger on a bun, open faced or a top varieties of lettuce. My favorite is the Mexican which has guacomole and Mexican flared seasonings. Although I opt for the salad option, I love their sweet potato fries as an accompaniement. The atmosphere is very modern. They have a great selection of wine and beers and tvs all around if game night.
Great burger selection - amazing creations! I went with the rice bowl and my husband had the Mexican burger. Really good fun. The cocktail was just okay, pumpkin beer tasted a bit off. Waitress fantastic!
BAD DO NOT RECOMMEND
The service was good as I had a problem with my burger being over cooked and the waitress was understanding. However, when she brought back another one, it was still over done. I didn't want to send it back again,so I ate it. People rave about these burgers. I don't get it. Mind was quite below average, aside won't from over done. I won't be back. My friend had a salad which was average. Nothing special here.
good food, good atmosphere and good variety of food on menu to satisfy all!
I went here for the first time this past weekend, and the experience was okay. We had a 1:00 reservation, and even though the place had tons of empty tables, we still waited about 10 minutes to be seated. They have a great drink selection and the prices are reasonable. My friends and I all got varying burgers, which were fantastic. Our server was poor, however. My friend ordered a BYOB burger with a couple different toppings, and when it arrived, it didn't have any of the ones she ordered, but did have lettuce and tomato (neither of which she wanted). The server did bring the right toppings to the table, but by that point, her burger had cooled down a bit. I'm sure if the service had been better, it would have been a more memorable experience. With that said, I'll probably give it another shot the next time I'm in the area.
Overall this was a very disappointing experience. We were given a very uncomfortable booth that was so poorly designed that it was impossible for 3 people to sit comfortably, and there was NO chance of having a conversation. when we asked to change seats we were told all the others were reserved (there were several open for the entire time we were there). I ordered the "special" burger cooked medium for $18!!! it came overcooked, dry, with no taste. My husband's fish & chips was ok. the only meal that was really good was the Melenzana sandwich.
Although this restaurant is very convenient and more reasonably priced than many of the other restaurants at Legacy Place, my family will definitely NOT be back!
Both the food and service were excellent! I had the mac and cheese. My wife had the Paris burger. Both item were really good. Our server was very nice and very attentive.
Even with restaurant half empty service was slow. Lobster in lobster roll was minced; almost unidentifiable as lobster if not for 2 small pieces of claw. Carmelized onions on burger were tough and chewy. If service were better, would have sent everything back!
The experience was a bit disappointing. I made a reservation -- although it wasn't necessary because the place was literally empty (okay, one other couple). With the entire room of tables available, they sat us one table away from the other party. With spacious tables a plenty, they put as at a tiny table for two. Then a third couple came in and they seated them right next to us (at a large table that could seat 4-5). So, in an entire empty restaurant, we three parties were crammed together. Ambiance.. no. Good environment for a confidential business lunch...no. The food was served on itty-bitty plates all items stacked atop one another. I needed two side plates to disassemble my fish & chips to find the coleslaw and tarter sauce. Fashion over function, grease over flavor, and the seating strategy....well I have no idea what they had in mind with that. Won't go back. Maybe dinner is a better experience, but for lunch there are plenty of other options to choose from. Sorry.
Just had the worst dining experience I have had in years. Out to eat on Saturday night and chose Met Bar at Legacy Place. I had a “stone bowl” - the bowl itself was so hot it had cooked the food solid and burnt most of the bottom of my meal. My husband had fish and chips and the batter was not cooked. Neither of us ate much of ether meal. I complained to the waitress who didn’t care at all. No offer to bring us something else, comp dessert or drinks. I hindsight I have no idea why I paid for the food we didn’t eat. Terrible meal, even more terrible service.
The space is great and I enjoyed the ambiance but our less than stellar service really clouded the visit.
Our waitress spilled my husband's beer, handed him what was left in the bottle and didn't offer to get a new one. At one point we ordered a second round, about ten minutes later our server returned and asked if we wanted another round, then laughed and recalled that we had ordered one and that she forgot. No apology. I also ordered a second side that never made it to me. The food was a mixed bag - our app was great but my entree was bland and dry. My husband enjoyed his meal. I should have ordered a burger.
I don't know that I would go back.
We have three kids with very different tastes and everyone was satisfied here. My husband had the rigatoni bolognase which was excellent. I had Caesar salad with chicken, very very good. The kids all had tasty burgers. The service was a bit slow and the noise level is high.
The brick chicken was amazing ! Would highly recommend it
Service was very poor. We would have preferred to get a nice relaxing meal, but our waitress thought otherwise. Wondering where our drink, food or water is on a continuous basis was not fun.
The manager stepped in and comped a couple dinners, but that wasn't the point. We are out with friends. We would appreciate excellent service. Or at least very good service.
Probably won’t be back, but you never know, because the food is very good.
We're two couples, and we get together quite frequently for meals - we like good, but not fancy food, and we like to talk while we eat. OpenTable's category for noise: if "energetic " means can't hear your dining companions talk, that would be correct.
We ate at the Met Bar and Grill on an early Friday evening. Food, decor and service were perfectly fine, but it was too noisy for easy conversation, and that for us is part of the pleasure of eating a meal together. Open Table reviews note the noise level as moderate - there may well be noisier places, but we won't be back for an evening meal there. Noise level doesn't fit what we're looking for. (We did ask to be seated in most quiet area possible; the servers did their best to meet our request.)
Absolutely love Met - family favorite but we definitely go much less since it's gotten so expensive. Lunch for 1 adult and 2 kids at $60+ is a bit much (a salad and 2 kids meals). Yet, that kale salad is the best, best mac 'n cheese in boston and those onion strings... mmmm
Service was poor. Menu did not include all ingredients in the dish and then they argued with us. Would never go back or recommend to others.
Lunch with my cousins. Everything was great, especially The guacamole!
Amazing food - perfect service - outside dining a plus - will recommend and be back soon!
Really enjoyed sitting outside sipping on cocktails and watching people go by at the outdoor tables on a summer evening. The guacamole appetizer and entrees were ample and delicious. We have come here a couple of times and been very happy with the experience and wait staff.
I am sad to say that this was unequivocally, the worst dining experience that my family and I have had. We placed our food orders at about 7:45pm. The children's pasta plate came out at 8:10pm. In the meantime, it took the bar three poor attempts to make a vodka gimlet, which remained undrinkable. Finally, our salad entries came out at almost 8:25pm and were nevertheless missing items such as shrimp and avocado.
The manager was apologetic and removed some of the cost of the meal; however, what used to be a solid restaurant choice for me will be no more.
The restaurant was nice looking. However, the menu was somewhat limited. Ended up ordering a bacon cheeseburger and ended up getting horribly sick that night. I believe it was the meal I ate there since I was not sick and it wasn't related to a virus etc. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone.
The food was good, but we had the worst service I've had in a long time. Waitress was spacey, kept disappearing for long periods of time, and other people outside being served by her just left after waiting for 30 minutes and never getting any food. The hostess was also rather rude when seating us.
I always enjoy this restaurant. It is one of my regular "Go to" local places for Lunch and Dinner.
We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch on the patio. Our server, Olivia, was attentive but didn't hover and food was delicious. Their gluten free french fries were a nice surprise.
We went after the movies. We all had burgers -different types and presented differently. We enjoyed it very much!
Just an adverse restaurant that has gone downhill over time. Ok for everyday quick bite.
Disappointed by the service. We had to physically go and find our waitress to ask her to take our order after over waiting for quite some time.
Always love the burgers here and they were disappointing on this visit. Not much taste and gristle throughout. Had mine served 'in a bowl' on an extremely small portion of arugula. Guacamole was excellent as always. Waitress was attentive to the point of being intrusive. Will probably try again since it's usually pretty consistent for a quick bite.
Worst experience ever, was suppose to be a fathers day brunch. Sat at 10:30am was then 11:45 am still no food. No one knew what was going on, whole place was in disarray. I have never seen anything this bad in my life.
Very pricey for the food and drinks, price was way too high for the quality and portion.
Too noisy could not hear very well
Old friends met for a casual evening. The hamburgers were excellent. The sweet potato fries the best I ever had. WE satand talked for over 3 hours. They did not push us out the door.
The restaurant was not busy. It was a Monday night. The noise level was horrendous. The noise was our main complaint.
I would go back but certainly not on a weekend night.
Service was pretty good. Food was a disappointment, even after sending one of the meals back.
Two of us were celebrating birthdays so it was a pretty disappointing night
Live in area .Met is usually a good place for dinner at legacy place. Maybe I was unlucky
The steak tips were very tough and the quality by as good as previously had.
Hope it was a one time thing
It was very loud in there and the service was just OK. The food wasn't anything to write home about.
Service was ridiculously slow. Drinks took longer than the food!
I requested a good table as it was a wedding anniversary. Small table in a busy section, crowded, service spotty, not a special experience at all.
Came with three generations ranging is age from 3 years old to 61years old with a slew of pciky eaters. Everyone found something and they loved what they ordered. Great place for a date night or for a larger crowd. We love Met Bar :)
good location, pretty good parking, great service, and not rushed from our table
but portion small for the price
slow in kitchen but for us it was fine
quiet inside which was good for catching up but also not busy on a Saturday at 12;45PM?
only limited outdoor tables and it was a lovely day but no outdoor dining tables open
