Tasty appetizers and great service. Stay away from the steak tips unless you enjoy having them smothered in a heavy sauce.
Food was good but service was terribly slow. We were there at 6 pm on a Wednesday night and our waitress kept disappearing. We finally finished dinner at 9:15pm and we had one appetizer for the table of three and burgers. No dessert.
We had asked for a quiet table for our group (it included grandparents) and were given a potentially quiet table. However the ambient noise was soloed it was hard to hear. This was a Sunday night and the restaurant was not crowded. I can only imagine it on a crowded Saturday with a full bar. Our waitress spoke loudly and clearly and was very accommodating.
Excellent burgers with a gourmet flair. Lots to choose from for libations as well.
Very good as always! Got the Met Caprrse sandwich ad absolutely loved it!
Menu descriptions of their burgers will make your mouth water but you will find that these 'creative' combination of ingredients do not taste as good as it sounds. I like an overloaded burger but only when the components complement each other. The Tokyo burger was a nice pile of mess. I liked the fries though.
Excellent food, waitstaff and location
Love their Burger Bar selections. The salmon burger is excellent. Fun, high back booths for groups.
Amazing. Danielle was a great server. Will definitely recommend to friends!
we love the Met Bar and go frequently. This place is always a zoo, so don't forget to make a reservation. Our most recent visit we had Francis as a server and he was the best waiter ever. So fast. Totally accommodating.
A little pricey ($90) for two cheeseburger with soup and two drinks.
Exceptional service matched with very very fresh and tasty food.
Nick, our server was attentive and very personable. It wasn't our first time at The Met, nor will it be our last, it's always an enjoyable experience.
This is a specialty burger place that can't cook burgers to order.
Order your at least 1 level more rare than you want. second time it happened. Never going back
EXPENSIVE for a overdone burger
Very nice Sunday lunch/brunch. Watistaff was terrific, food first rate. THANKS.
Turkey burger was dry and dense. Food is overpriced.
The tuna was excellent.....steak tips not so much....but overall great place to go...
I read some reviews on yelp and was nervous after I had made the reservation but I had a great experience. Our waitress was very nice and attentive and the food and drinks were excellent. Their hummus dip and bread/chips were excellent as was my chicken sandwich. They had a great drink menu-I got the sweet iced tea "martini" and it was delicious! It was a great place to meet up with friends. I would recommend Met Bar.
A little overpriced ($1 per topping on burgers) and the waitress gave me the wrong toppings... Which normally doesn't bother me but if you are paying per topping that is a problem. I enjoyed my Kobe burger bunless an it was still delicious. Very clean restaurant with more than just burgers on the menu. Definitely worth trying, a little something for everyone.
Had reservations for an early dinner. Nice greeting from the hostess. A bit of a wait for someone to show up at our table to take drink orders, which seemed strange since the restaurant was pretty empty because of a snow storm that day. Great calamari appetizer! Had to ask for rolls while waiting for entree. Chicken Milanese. It had been deep fried a little too long and was a bit greasy. Potatoes and spinach were great. Server was very nice. Just left us alone a little too much. Easy to see why this space has a reputation for a great energy and vibe.
Loved it. Toasted cocOnut drink was
4th time dining at the Met. Each time was with business associates for dinner. Food is always very good which is why we go. Service is never more than fair. Waitstaff have been timely and have provided just enough attention but there is nothing that stands out. Go for the food, it's worth it.
Went for brunch; Food was just ok.
Everything was fantastic except we let them know in advance it was a birthday celebration and the never acknowledged that
very disappointed....I used to like Met Bar and grill. THe last couple of time I have been there the turkey burgers were very dry. Everything we asked for was extra. we wanted steamed broccoli with the salmon (instead of pickeled veggies): $3.00. We wanted rice with a steak instead of potato: oh, we cannot substitute that, we only have rice for a different meal. I will not go back for a long long (read: ever). The oreo cookie cake was huge, the only positive thing we walked away with.
Enjoyed having lunch at Met Bar and Grill and am looking forward to returning.
We had wonderful dinner and the server was for the most part fairly attentive. there was several moments when we could not find someone to ask for steak knives which prevented two members of the party from eating. I also notes that pesto oil spilled from another plate with my skirt steak while the waiter was carrying our dinner. The main this that hurt our dining experience was the seating, we sat at a 'booth' that put us on display to the dining room, like we were a wedding party looking out on the room. Also the backward shape of the 'booth' caught the noise of the room and made conversation very difficult. while i would go back this restaurant, not with a group of more then 2.
Our group of 5 (including 2 small kids) loved our New Year's Eve dinner at Met Bar! The appetizers and dinners were yummy. They were very accommodating to dietary requests. The cocktails were festive. We had movie tickets for after the meal, told our waiter what time we had to leave, and he had us out the door right on schedule.
This was our second time at this location. The first was right after it opened and we had a great experience. The place felt classy and the food was great. After a couple of years things seemed to have gone downhill, significantly. After walking in the door the hostess ignored us for 15 minutes. After she seated us, our waitress immediately walked over and asked us what we would like to drink. We needed a few minutes to review the drink menu, for which she had no suggestions. A few minutes must have translated into 20 minutes, becuase we had to call her over in order to order drinks. Food was not as good as we remembered and the place was filled with teenagers in sweatpants. Seems like everything that was good before, moved to Boston.
This is my third visit to a Met Bar and by far the worst, not that any of the previous ones were stellar. This time we arrived for dinner for my parents' anniversary and once we were waited on were told that they were out of most of their steaks. We had come because of the "Butcher Shop" menu. In the end the only option, unless we wanted to wait another 25 minutes or more was to have skirt steaks which, though cooked as requested, were tough. The manager and the waiter did apologize for both the service delays and the menu issue, but none of us will ever be back. Interestingly enough we have since heard 3 such similar stories about the restaurant...why bother to have items on a menu if you consistently "run out of" the items...
I met two friends for an early dinner on a Thursday night, one of whom was late, but they were able to seat the two of us early. The waitress never checked on us after bringing out our initial drinks (until being prompted). The acoustics are horrible in the restaurant; it's way too loud. Could not hear the person sitting across from me in the booth.
Very loud. We met for a busy meeting. Would not do that again. Food was mediocre at best.
Way way too noisy! Very difficult to have a conversation with friends.
Mattv was our server outstanding delicious food as well
We really enjoyed our visit to the restaurant. The atmosphere is fun and the food was great.
Although I like the food I am not happy with the way they handled my reservation. I made my reservation through open table for 8:30 pm for 3 people. We arrived 10 minutes early and went straight to the hostess and told her we were there and that we had 8:30 reservations. Well after waiting 40 minutes I got totally aggrivated and went up to the hostess - she forgot all about us... I find this hard to believe since she gave us a beeper.... Started the night off totally wrong... She did not even say she was sorry - she left that to the poor girl who was helping her... They did not offer a drink or anything for our delay - poor customer service in my opinion.
I had almost written off this restaurant because the service was always poor. Our server kate did a great job.
Always great! Love the swordfish chop, best swordfish around. Very juicy! We also love the brick chicken. Chicken tacos app was delicious . Burgers and chicken sandwiches are always good too! Reliable dishes, fun atmosphere. patio is gun shen weather permits We go here a lot. Great for dinner and movie date or girl's noght out We tend to get the same dishes over and over because we like them do much , so we haven't tried a lot of different entrees. Everything looks hood as the plates go by. Desserts look great, but we opt to spend our calories on the apps, entrees ,bread and wine!
terrible service, dessert was over rated! Loved the veggie burger
Ordered burgers which were overcooked. Server was very nice and got a replacement. Unfortunatly, the replacement was overcooked too. Last time someone in my party ordered chicken. It was not fully cooked. They brought a replacement then too and the replacement was also undercooked. Fries were outstanding.
