Waiter was fantastic! Great bloody Marys and great food.
I like to come to Met Back Bay for brunch when out of town friends visit. It has a nice selection and everywhere you sit is different. I’ve never sat in the same area of the restaurant and I enjoy the vibe. The Back Bay location is great to then get out and explore. I love the biscuits! It can get a bit loud and hard to hear people in your party, but that’s my only complaint.
The food was good just VERY overpriced.
Very good food and large portions
The lettuce wedge was amazing, the mussels delicious
Very poor presentation of my breakfast for a reportedly upscale Boston restaurant. My $14 pancakes arrived as if they were just slapped onto the plate with butter. That’s it! No garnish. Wish I had taken a photo. The pancakes were good. Mike’s dinner does a better job as does Metropolis for 30% less.
Service was just ok!
Not planning on returning as there are so many better choices in the neighborhood.
The food was delivered very quickly and the service was great.
I’m not sure if it was just on Easter, but they did not serve mimosas or bloody Marys before 11am. Didn’t realize this and would have came later. Menu is lacking for those who don’t like eggs, thankfully they served a waffle on Easter or I wouldn’t have eaten much. Service is slow but the atmosphere is quite nice
I went for Easter Brunch and was very disappointed in the food. I ordered a dish called Hen House Hash. It should been called Peasant Hash because it was basically a skillet filled with boiled potatoes cut in half. There was cubed chicken on top with some mashed avocado. The chicken and avocado reminded me of a taco salad. I ordered the dish without the egg and cheese sauce.
Perhaps this is considered a deconstructed hash?
I did enjoy the side of biscuits I ordered.
I will say the restaurant space is lovely, though I was glad I went at a time there were not many diners because it is not exactly spacious.
The service was good.
The dining room was dark, food was good but I was not blown away. This was highly recommended from a hotel concierge but did not live up. Nothing was awful but like I said I was not blown away.
Had to try the Croque Madame. But what was truly outstanding were the fries, biscuits and chopped salad.
My daughter and I love to go to the Met for lunch and shopping when she is home from college. Its a great atmosphere and the food and drinks are incredible. She tries something new every time but I love the California Hen House bowl so much I always get it - yummy cocktails and nice setting to sit and chat. The patio is awesome in the nice weather.
Standard brunch spot. Food wasn’t great.
Fabulous brunch. Highly recommend.
The room was cold and despite the team trying to regulate it my family and i left as quickly as we finished eating as we were freezing.
The food, price and service all great though ..
We left after sitting at the table for ten minutes and not being greeted.. disappointing experience, we were out for a special occasion.
Great spot to bring a baby at 5pm on a Saturday!
The Nutella French Toast was soaked in oil.
The latte was not good.
Food standard has dropped.
Our food took over 30 minutes to come. Our drinks came out after our food. Overall not worth the money.
Went for brunch. Had an omelette, which was rubbery and tasteless. Would not go back.
Great location for Sunday brunch - our family group was happy with the wide range of choices, generous portions, and delicious selections. Very attentive and friendly service. It's our neighborhood favorite, but also worth a trip!
The quality of the dinner service has gone downhill. We were charged for a drink we didn't order. I ordered a medium strip steak and was served a well done skirt steak. The chicken was dry and had too much garlic.
Save your money and come here for lunch instead. It's cheaper and better.
Service was very slow -basket of biscuits took forever to come; then waited a very long time for brunch entrees. Noticed that the group next to us got their orders much faster.
Excellent brunch -- quality of food and friendliness of service top notch. Really cool space; feels elegant but prices are reasonable for the area.
Service was not great. I ordered rose and was served red wine. The glasses were dirty with lip stains and had water in them from being washed recently and not dried. Food was ok.
Met Back Bay was our choice for a one night stay in Boston while on business. We wanted somewhere close to our hotel at Copley Square, a broad range of menu options, a place not too loud to allow for business conversation, but one that provided a great ambiance and welcoming environment. Our food was quite good. The oysters and lettuce wedge were great appetizer choices and the pasta with scallops and filet migon were very good, although my colleague was disappointed in the small size of the scallops. The chocolate cake dessert was not good, it was hard and stale and wasn’t as decadent as we would have expected. The price point was just fine and the noise level and ambiance was perfect. It was a strong choice and we are very happy we came! We will return again on future trips to Boston but will definitely pick a different dessert! :)
One of the best cheese plates I have ever had, our dinner was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, made a reservation ON Valentines Day through OpenTable, had a wonderful evening.
Love the MET Back Bay. My sister and I go all the time! Such a variety of food options.
While there were very few people there, one family celebrating a birthday truly made it
unenjoyable. Children screamed, yelled, cried, had the run of dining room with parents and grandparents running behind. Older child actually thru something at grandfather. They blocked door to bar area with a stroller. Kept waiting for staff to trip over them. Baby ran
into full food tray. Feel management should have stepped in , not only for patrons , for their
own liability. Our Waiter was wonderful and patient. We so looked forward to your meal,
however, while food was good we did not enjoy.
We sat for over 30 minutes before we even got served water. Service was very slow but the food was good and outlets waiter was very nice; just very slow as well.
Always exceptional food and service! Great atmosphere and location.
Way to expensive for what you are getting. Great ambiance, service and drinks, but very expensive for small portions.
Amazing blood Mary’s even though they took a while to make it to the table!
Brunch at the bar was a little pricey - $50 after 20% tip for 2 burgers and 2 coffees - but food and service were both good!
Amazing bloody Mary’s! Pricey but fun!
The menu was not the same as on open table. It was very different. If I weren’t in a cast, we would have left. Just overall disappointing.
Our server, Felix, never greeted us. We actually didn't even see him until halfway through our meal. We had to ask someone else if he was our server (he wasn't), but he took our order anyway. We asked for small plates twice before we got them. The server never checked in or asked if we needed more drinks or anything. It was okay food, terrible service, but fine ambiance. I was very, very disappointed.
We came for the hot chocolate flight, it was good but got cold too quickly. Nice atmosphere.
Birthday lunch. My burger came incorrect and by the time I got my burger my friends were done eating. My coworkers fries were cold and a new order arrived after my second burger.
