Excellent brunch -- quality of food and friendliness of service top notch. Really cool space; feels elegant but prices are reasonable for the area.
Service was not great. I ordered rose and was served red wine. The glasses were dirty with lip stains and had water in them from being washed recently and not dried. Food was ok.
Met Back Bay was our choice for a one night stay in Boston while on business. We wanted somewhere close to our hotel at Copley Square, a broad range of menu options, a place not too loud to allow for business conversation, but one that provided a great ambiance and welcoming environment. Our food was quite good. The oysters and lettuce wedge were great appetizer choices and the pasta with scallops and filet migon were very good, although my colleague was disappointed in the small size of the scallops. The chocolate cake dessert was not good, it was hard and stale and wasn’t as decadent as we would have expected. The price point was just fine and the noise level and ambiance was perfect. It was a strong choice and we are very happy we came! We will return again on future trips to Boston but will definitely pick a different dessert! :)
One of the best cheese plates I have ever had, our dinner was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, made a reservation ON Valentines Day through OpenTable, had a wonderful evening.
Love the MET Back Bay. My sister and I go all the time! Such a variety of food options.
While there were very few people there, one family celebrating a birthday truly made it
unenjoyable. Children screamed, yelled, cried, had the run of dining room with parents and grandparents running behind. Older child actually thru something at grandfather. They blocked door to bar area with a stroller. Kept waiting for staff to trip over them. Baby ran
into full food tray. Feel management should have stepped in , not only for patrons , for their
own liability. Our Waiter was wonderful and patient. We so looked forward to your meal,
however, while food was good we did not enjoy.
We sat for over 30 minutes before we even got served water. Service was very slow but the food was good and outlets waiter was very nice; just very slow as well.
Always exceptional food and service! Great atmosphere and location.
Way to expensive for what you are getting. Great ambiance, service and drinks, but very expensive for small portions.
Brunch at the bar was a little pricey - $50 after 20% tip for 2 burgers and 2 coffees - but food and service were both good!
Amazing bloody Mary’s! Pricey but fun!
The menu was not the same as on open table. It was very different. If I weren’t in a cast, we would have left. Just overall disappointing.
Our server, Felix, never greeted us. We actually didn't even see him until halfway through our meal. We had to ask someone else if he was our server (he wasn't), but he took our order anyway. We asked for small plates twice before we got them. The server never checked in or asked if we needed more drinks or anything. It was okay food, terrible service, but fine ambiance. I was very, very disappointed.
We came for the hot chocolate flight, it was good but got cold too quickly. Nice atmosphere.
Birthday lunch. My burger came incorrect and by the time I got my burger my friends were done eating. My coworkers fries were cold and a new order arrived after my second burger.
We decided to go here for “taco Tuesday,” and it did not disappoint. Great value in the taco deals!
Awful service. Such a disappointment for a nice space. Took 20 minutes before anyone even brought us water and that’s after we had to flag down a bus boy to ask for someone. Also messed up our order twice. Great food but won’t be coming back
Our waitress is always awesome - Anica!
Receive and email to book brunch on MLK. Made a reservation and arrived at 11:30am. I decided to have the pancakes, red, white, and blue. Come to find out, the restaurant was out of blueberries. The a person in my party order the turkey club and to find out the turkey wasn't was still being roasted.
I was disappointed to find the MET was not prepared for the MLK brunch I was told in their email I needed to rush to make a reservation.
I like The MET. Head there for brunch often, waitstaff is good, portions are a little big, but they do justify the prices. Certainly recommend it.
The make your own bloody mary bar brought us into the restaurant for brunch New Years Day 2018. While the cocktail and avocado toast did not disappoint, the service was extremely poor. Our server was inattentive and our food/drinks took way too long. Additionally, it was very crammed in the dining room upstairs- waiters and guests alike brushed the table every time they passed.
I have been previously to the bar downstairs which seems to operate better.
Overall I would recommend because of the quality food, but the restaurant in general does not live up to its hype.
Loud techno music playing, service was good, food OK. No potatoes? Weird.
Great ambiance. Great Food. Great Service. I really liked the number of bar seating areas that were available. Very nice!
Excellent make your own bloody Mary’s
just awesome awesome food and service
We LOVE the Met Bar.... the food is totally delicious, good for vegetarians ( I have 3!) and their
avocado toast is to die for....great , friendly service and just amazing food !
Foods are too salty for our family. Salmon is very very thin for the price.
Great lunch w old friends . Everything was delicious and we were at a window table.
MET Back Bay has one of the best weekend brunches in Boston. You need to order the Nutella French Toast, even if it's just for dessert. You won't regret it.
