Party of 8 enjoyed the food & service! Thank you!!
The noise was intolerable. It was the loudest restaurant I have ever been in. Our son was visiting from out of town and we wanted to take him to a special meal. We could not hear each other talk (none of us are hard of hearing). We tried to get used to the environment but realized it was going to be a miserable experience, so we left before we ordered.
Great food, close to entry so table was noisy. Waitress was obviously vegetarian as she lacked passion to recommend dishes always stating her boss loves that one, many people order that one. It seemed like she hadn't tried any of the dishes. Despite, we had a great dinner
Tables are too close together but overall an exceptional experience
Have had dinner at Meson Sabika several times. Always had a great meal. Love the tapas. Fun to try a variety of dishes both hot and cold. Last visit was for their special dinner wine event. It was outstanding. Highly recommend for lunch/dinner and their special events.
Great time and food as always!
This place was such a lovely place to celebrate our anniversary! The food was amazing and the service exceptional! We look forward to our next visit!
The waiter Adrian was very knowledgeable but seems a little bit antisocial
Great food and are waiter was great. Suck hearing everything thing and conversation that was happening kitchen. But food was great
Amazing menu with creative combinations and layered flavors. Sangria options are all excellent and staff well trained. A favorite for lunch and dinner and the garlic potato salad is a must!
The restaurant smelled badly of mold. The waiter brought all the tapas at once instead of spacing them. we rarely saw him after that. He never poured our wine after the first pour and spoke so little English that he had trouble answering questions about the menu.My husband’s lamb chops were so small they were almost non-existent.
We went for a friend's birthday and had the pleasure of being served by Aileen, she was kind, funny, and very attentive. We brought our own champagne and she took great care of us! I love this restaurant and we will be back of course.
Have been here often, but the banging going on in the bar area at lunch was terrible. Could have waited till the lunch crowd left.
This was our first time to Meson Sabika, and we will definitely be back. Our waitress Shannon was extremely helpful, gave us great recommendations on what to try from the menu, and even comped us champagne since we were celebrating an anniversary. Great experience, wonderful food (especially the tomato basil goat cheese and the hot beef medallions), and lovely ambiance. Expect to spend $75-$100 minimum, but if it's in your budget, definitely make a reservation and go there!
The best brunch I have ever had!
Who knew Meson Sabika had brunch. And what a great brunch. Definitely, the best in Naperville (that I've had). Quite possibly my best ever.
Wonderful as always. Whenever we are in the area, we do our best to have the brunch. It may be the best brunch in the USA. So much variety--from bacon-wrapped dates, numerous dishes with shrimp and other pricey ingredients, and incredibly good garlic potato salad. Everything is just so good, and the environment is lovely. I hope they don't keep raising the price, though. $34.95 is stretching my budget just a bit.
Good for special occasion, but should go once
We have been there several times
Like always, Meson proves to be a quality establishment. Led by great service, then good food. I will admit, the food was not excellent, like it usually is. We tried a couple new items on the menu, but were just ok.
The food here is always good! The wine list is full of interesting Spanish wines. Everything was wonderful in terms of food. We were there on a Saturday night relatively early (6 pm reservation). It was very noisy. We were in one of the upstairs rooms and there were two larger parties with 8-10 people each. They were very loud and that, in turn, raised the entire noise level in the room just to be heard over these two parties. The service was also a little inconsistent as there were so many large parties in the room. But it was not problematic as long as you were patient. All the food was great and the bacon wrapped dates are perfection, as always.
My boyfriend and I had a great time celebrating our anniversary here. The service was fantastic and the tapas were delicious! 10/10 would recommend!
We have dined at Meson Sabika several times and have never been disappointed. Our first encounter with this restaurant was 34 years ago. We had our wedding reception there. It was a beautiful sunny day and the grounds were magnificent. A perfect day! It was under a different name back then, but the ambiance is just as wonderful today as it was then. The restaurant is an old mansion constructed in the 1840's. The grounds are beautiful and if the weather is nice, you can dine outside. I would highly recommend that experience.
The food is outstanding! They have many choices, mostly Tapas. They offer hot and cold entries. Their wine list is extensive. The service could not be better. Make sure you leave room for one of the excellent desert choices. This is a great place to go with friends and order lots of different things and sharing. Their prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend and we will definitely return.
Always so delicious!!! The peach sangria is amazing and they have some of the BEST scallops and beef medallions I’ve ever had.
Slightly upset that my favorite chicken dish was removed
Food was dry with no flavors; probably reheated frozen and previously cooked.
It was disappointing that the weather did not cooperate for outside dining. Love to dine on the restaurants patio. However, the historic building is lovely. The tapas was outstanding. A very enjoyable experience. The restaurant was crowded and loud.
Lovely evening. Tables were very close together. But overall a nice time.
Had not been here in awhile - what wonderful food, ambiance and service. Nice to park so close to the entrance (unlike downtown Naperville).
Great lunch as always . Beautiful patio, good service, good food!!!!
Menu is fun and wines were good. 6 person birthday party Saturday dinner. Service was friendly but slow, and "busboy" service was terrible. Tables all over the room, including ours, were piling up with dirty dishes. Unpleasant.
Great place for families. Beautiful outdoor dining area. Everybody was extremely nice and helpful.
Excellent food and diverse brunch selection. Always have a great experience there.
Good ambience. Good food. Good service. Bar area is very noisy.
My boyfriend and I love Mesón Sabika. We save going here for special date nights and it never disappoints. Saturday nights can get pretty busy so it’s best to make a reservation a few days in advance, but if you just walk in the wait usually isn’t too horrible. The food here is beyond words. It’s more than amazing, terrific, delicious. If there’s a word that sums those 3 up, that’s how I’d describe Mesón Sabika’s menu. Everything is made in house, fresh to order, and it’s authentic Spanish tapas (small plates). It does get pricey quick but it it well worth it!!
Had a friends get together. Servers were great! We’ve always had a good experience.
Food is always good but the restaurant inside gets very crowded and noisy. The tables they use for 4 should be used for 2, especially with tapas!
Let me start by saying that the food was absolutely delicious. AMAZING. We stopped short of licking our plates clean, and there was not a crumb left on a single plate we sent away. I am still thinking about it! We chose a bottle of wine based on our waiter's recommendation, and it, too, was wonderful. This SHOULD be a five star review; however, there was one little problem (actually, about 100 little problems...tiny ones). We were attacked by fruit flies. It was horrifying. They were flying around our heads, landing on our food and wine bottles, and were all over the wall. We did complain, and they did IMMEDIATELY move our table to another dining room; however, there were fruit flies there, too. Maybe they followed us in/traveled on our plates and wine bottles, or maybe there was a bigger problem (there were a few on the wall when we got to the new room). Regardless, that really hampered our evening. As parents of three small children, it isn't often we get a nice dinner out at a fancy restaurant...having to swat bugs away from our food and wine all night was not what we had in mind. And, while our original waiter was extremely responsive and had our table changed right away, no one else/management never came to check on us/follow up/offer apology, which was a bit disappointing.
As always, delicious tapas. Wonderful gluten free selections. Cooler night, so sat indoors. Prefer outside dining but weather happens. Very busy night, Slower service than normal, but our waiter was superb!
It is definitely not what it used to be, even the quality of the brea has gone downhill. The service was great, I will give them that. However, the food is simply average.
Excellent tapas relaxed service not rushed. Love the patio, beautiful flowers. Nothing better than to sip sangria and fabulous food with family and friends.
