About Meson Sabika
Located just west of downtown Naperville, Mesón Sabika has been serving the community since 1990. Built in 1847, the pristine four-acre estate and beautiful mansion welcome you before you reach the driveway. Whether you dine in one of the mansion’s eight dining rooms decorated in traditional Spanish décor, attend a wedding or corporate event in the pavilion, or sit out back on the patio, the cuisine of Spain and delicious drinks make for an unparalleled dining experience.
For a quiet, romantic dining experience we recommend a week night reservation. The small mansion rooms fill up on the weekends, making for a more lively dining experience.
Our dress code is "proper casual/casual dressy." Gentlemen, we respectfully ask that you cover up your arms (no tank tops). And ladies, we ask that the majority of your midriff is covered (no bandeaux’s). We ask that everyone remove their baseball hats when dining inside the mansion. Thank you!

Meson Sabika Ratings and Reviews
Came here for lunch. We each had the mushroom soup, goat chesse dip to share and two entrees. The salmon with asparagus and I had the chicken sandwich. All the food was good. Service was above average. The sangrias are a must but are pricey, used to be much less. Overall we would return.
We are from Michigan and were visiting our children in Naperville. We noticed Meson Sabika on our way to their home and thought it might be a good place to go for dinner on our last day with them. We were so right! Everything was perfect, and the wait staff were awesome. Will definitely make reservations for our next visit.
I love this place. I've been to Mason Sabika many times for dinner, drinks, and particularly the Sunday brunch. The service is always very prompt and friendly, even though they are usually quite crowded. Sunday brunch is a bit pricy, but worth it, large variety of tasty foods and a perfectly prepared ribeye was on the carving station.
Have been to Meson SABIKA many times. We were there on a very cold January night. We had to refuse the first table because it was along a window lined hall near the bar area and it was very cold. We were offered a table in one of the dining rooms that was much better.
I have always loved the tapas here and they didn't disappoint. It's a great place to go with a group so that you can try lots of things. Our waiter was great. He staged the tapas so they came out of the kitchen a couple at a time. Our dinner was the perfect pace.
Don't miss the Fire and Spice Martini. The perfect combination of cucumber vodka, citrus and Jalapeno. Our waiter brought us a complimentary profiterole because we were celebrating a birthday. So nice.
This is a great place for a girls night out. Good food, good drinks great place to catch up.
We go to MS on a monthly basis at the least. We took a friend and her husband out to celebrate her B-Day on Tuesday 1/2. Reservations at 6:30. Place was already full like a Fri or Sat night ...lots of buzzing conversations with couples and families. Great place to celebrate and enjoy the small plates and sangria. Was too loud for any type of intimate conversation, not too romantic as it can be on other nights. But we went for the food, the service and our friends. Great time!
When we arrived it was pretty empty, on a frigid Tuesday afternoon. Then the people came and were seated right next to us in this large restaurant . Our server was nice but got a bit side-tracked with the other tables. The lunches were delish! And the sangria and dessert were divine! Will go back when the weather is warmer ☀️
We love Meson Sabika. I thought it would be a good place to go NYE since our local tapas restaurant has closed. We booked through Open Table, and I wish we would have had something telling me that there was a fixed menu that evening. Typically not a problem but the fixed menu was 75-80% seafood and my husband and son do not like seafood. Thankfully we were able to order from the kids menu for my son (& a second for him, that was actually for my husband). I ate like a queen and enjoyed every bite! Service, atmosphere, food/drinks were great! So, I guess what I’m saying is to just check their actual website on special occasions to see what they have going on with the menu.
This restaurant housed in an historic mansion serves authentic Spanish tapas. You try small plates, and can order as much or as little as you want. Food is delicious. Very good service. We were here for New Years Eve (early seating), which had a fixed price menu, serving a cold tapas followed by a hot one, then the main entree which was lobster and filet. Good wine (not included). 2 kinds of cake for dessert- excellent. Since it was a holiday, a Spanish dancer and guitar player performed in the room before moving on to the next; nice touch! My new favorite restaurant!
We went for our anniversary on an incredibly cold night. Not only were we seated upstairs, which was warmer than downstairs, but we also had a lovely window table for two right next to a small radiator! This made my wife very happy and me (who grew up with radiators) very comfortable. As usual, the food was delicious, wonderfully prepared and beautifully presented. This was a prix-fixe menu for New Year’s Eve. The waiter did a great job recommending a single glass of fabulous red wine.
We visited based on recommendations and were not disappointed. The service maintained excellent timing of the arrival of our tapas. Among our favorites was paella’s Mariano’s, the lamb, the trout, Jamon Serrano, and the dates. All the desserts were excellent. Highly recommend if you like tapas.
Meson Sabika is our family’s favorite restaurant by far. We range in age from 15-87 and all of us love it. We always order an assortment of tapas and always do the same with dessert offerings. The staff is professional but also warm and kind. Outstanding place we have loved for close to 40 years.
Carla was our waitress and she was wonderful. She was knowledgeable, prompt, and delightful. I came with my boyfriend for his birthday and our anniversary. We had a lovely meal followed by a lovely surprise dessert and champagne.
The atmosphere was cozy and romantic. We enjoyed the flavors, atmosphere, and services. Thank you!
Happy as usual. Not a fan of being seated in the back in the corner, right on top of the heater, but waiter was amazing. Staff was friendly, food was excellent. Clam soup was out of this world!
Sangria - that little pitcher holds more than it looks like it can
