The mansion is gorgeous and the space is very nice and romantic. However, the food was a bit bland for my taste. Our patatas bravas were not really spicy, and overall the food was just not that flavorful. I have definitely had better tapas before.
Took my girlfriend here for her birthday and we both had an amazing time. Their sangria is very good, food is amazing, I highly recommend the scallops and the octopus, amazing dishes. The service was very knowledgeable and polite. Also one of the most beautiful restaurants I have been too.
Our family has loved this restaurant for years. We celebrate many occasions here!
Food took too long.
As always my friends and I had a great experience. Super friendly staff and delicious food. Can't wait to eat here again.
The evening was fun, service was a bit confusing and hectic, but a family affair.
If you want a quiet setting, probably not the place, but food excellent, topas items were delicious and fun to sample. Spanish Manhattan excellent!
This was a truly unique and delicious culinary experience. We enjoyed every dish we tried and we are excited to come back and try some more!
One of my most favorites places to eat outside the city.
Such a large choice of tapas should satisfy most diners. We have enjoyed every dish. Service is prompt, especially if you find something you love and order more! Coffee and desert was also excellent.
Always a great place to go with friends! The tapas style is fun because you can try many different things on the menu. Highly recommend the sangria!
Meson Sebika is always a sure bet. Go there for the sangria and bacon wrapped dates and your evening will be complete. Always exceptional.
Coming from California to visit family, I always try to visit Meson Sabika. It's my favorite restaurant in the west suburbs. We just get a dozen tapas, all types but be sure not to miss the bacon covered dates, amazing!
Meson Sabika never disappoints. Went with our typical favorites, including the Jamon Serrano, the King Crab and Avocodo on toast points, and of course the Pippiranha de Buey, which we ordered two of because it is so fabulous.
Special note - our waiter was fantastic. He was attentive, had excellent suggestions, was outgoing and funny.
Overall a fantastic dinner - as usual!
Amazing service and food!!
I'm a long time customer of Meson Sabika ( & their sister restaurant Emilio's in Westchester)...lived briefly in Spain & love Spanish cuisine. I find the menu at Meson quite authentic. It's best to go in a group as tapas are meant to be shared but I have also dined solo. The setting within an aging mansion in Naperville is charming. While the menu is authentic, choose tapas wisely as many of the dishes use the same seasonings & flavors (sherry, saffron, garlic, etc.) & one will end up ordering tapas that inevitably all taste the same. There are often large groups dining & my biggest complaint is the noise level...it is far from conversation friendly. Children are welcome here & although the ambience appears stately, it is a more of a casual dining experience in terms of dress code. I usually make reservations as it can get busy at peak dining times but one can walk in & be immediately seated. Tables can be a little close to each other contributing to the high noise level.
Tight squeeze getting to the table and buffet but food and service is always great.
Meson Sabika's Sunday brunch was excellent again on this visit. I love that they have such a wide variety of authentic Spanish food. The brunch is a great way to sample many different tapas. For kids in the group, there are hot dogs, chicken nuggets and other kid-focused food; also all guests can have eggs and pancakes (not necessarily tapas) as part of the brunch. I always order one of the made-to-order omelettes that are included in the brunch price; my favorite is the chorizo omelette. They now also offer soup, and one in our party tried the chicken with lemon soup and said it was very tasty.
Brunch is self-service but you have a server who brings drinks, the aforementioned omelettes and soup, plus dessert. We had an excellent server on our recent visit, who even made sure to bring dessert with a candle for the two in our party who were celebrating birthdays.
I highly recommend the brunch at Meson Sabika!
It’s a great place to go with a group. The food is fantastic and the wait staff is very attentive.
This is the only time on an anniversary dinner that so many people besides our server wished us a happy anniversary. It was very nice. And the glass of white wine or champagne was the piece de resistance. We will remember it forever.
This was our second time at Meson Sabika and we continue to be thrilled with the food, the sangria, the great staff, the excellent value, and the wonderful surroundings. We still have many trips ahead to be able to sample everything on the large menu. Our favorites so far are the bacon wrapped dates, and beef and mushroom puff pastry, but everything we've had is great.
Service was excellent. Food was excellent.
Always great food here. We are never disappointed and are frequent diners.
A wonderful, delicious dinner with great service. Highly recommend!
I called beforehand and was assured the educator discount applied to Plainfield as well as Naperville teachers with a valid i.d. However, the manager did not honor that discount; very disappointing after a delicious meal.
This was our last official date night as non-parents. We wanted to go somewhere close to our hearts and chose Meson Sabika as we have spent many of our early dates there as well as my Bridal Shower. It seemed perfect for celebrating the transition into the next chapter of our relationship - parenthood. As always, the food and atmosphere were amazing. On our way home, we discussed how much of a gem this restaurant is and that we should make a point to come more often. Even with the new “trendy” restaurants opening in Downtown Naperville, Meson Sabika is always consistently amazing in food, beverage, atmosphere, and service and always outperforms the rest.
We especially enjoyed our server (who’s name I regret I’ve forgotten). He was very charming and had a wonderful sense of humor which filled our little two top with laughter. We really appreciated that he took the time to ask what we were celebrating and shared his own experience as new-ish parents. Additionally, his food recommendations were outstanding and he was sure to keep my virgin sangria well stocked!
All in all, and as always, we loved every second of being there. Thank you for being an amazing romantic getaway in the heart of Naperville’s hustle and bustle!
Great tasting food with top service from Anka. Always a great place for our dinner for two.
One of my favorite places to go -- great service, every time a great new tapas to try, not rushed, and love the fact Meson gives back to the community. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed .
Food and service were both very good. We had a group of twelve and everyone enjoyed the experience, and we all look forward to returning again.
waiter was very slow while we had a larger group (7) we were sat at the farthest end of restaurant and behind bar, had nice view of back of restaurant with blue tarp covering something
Location was not worth the money we spent
I Have been here many times and never disappointed.
Outstanding as always!
We absolutely love this place for date nights, group outings, or family birthdays. Tapas are fun to share and they have a large variety of gluten free options, including delicious desserts. I have celiac disease, so I appreciate how careful and accommodating they are. We also love their pitchers of sangria! Excellent food and service.
So amazing!! Such a friendly and really knowledgeable staff. I enjoyed my time and the meal was on point! I will definitely be beck the next time I'm in town.
One of our favorite restaurants! The tapas here are creative and tasty. Meson Sabika is a unique dining experience where tapas can be shared among friends. Among our favorites are the bacon wrapped dates, the tender beef with carmelized onions and a creamy horseradish sauce and of course, the garlic potato salad. Yum!! Try a beer or a bottle of wine from Spain to compliment the tapas.
We had a great time at Meson.
Food was great. Lovely atmosphere.
Would definitely recommend and go back.
Food was excellent , service great but I did request a table near a window when I made my reservation and it was ignored - since there were open tables at windows when I arrived I thought that my request was just not even noted. Disappointing.
Our waitress, Daniella was very attentive and the food was delicious. And the food came out appropriately fast
Great food and service
