Located just west of downtown Naperville, Mesón Sabika has been serving the community since 1990. Built in 1847, the pristine four-acre estate and beautiful mansion welcome you before you reach the driveway. Whether you dine in one of the mansion’s eight dining rooms decorated in traditional Spanish décor, attend a wedding or corporate event in the pavilion, or sit out back on the patio, the cuisine of Spain and delicious drinks make for an unparalleled dining experience.

For a quiet, romantic dining experience we recommend a week night reservation. The small mansion rooms fill up on the weekends, making for a more lively dining experience.

Our dress code is "proper casual/casual dressy." Gentlemen, we respectfully ask that you cover up your arms (no tank tops). And ladies, we ask that the majority of your midriff is covered (no bandeaux’s). We ask that everyone remove their baseball hats when dining inside the mansion.

Our experience was great!! We went for a bachelorette dinner and felt warmly welcomed by the staff. Food was great, highly recommend the gambas garlic shrimp. The menu is extensive so prepare for that! Our server Brian was awesome, explained the menu throughly (which we definitely needed), recommended great dishes, and made our experience really tailored for our dietary restrictions. We had very attentive service from everyone. Thanks so much to the staff who made our dinner so memorable for our bride!

We've been going to Meson Sabika (and its predecessor for nearly 30 years, and it's one of our mainstays. This visit the service was great and patio was fantastic, as always. But the food wasn't quite up to its usual standards, and, since it was our first visit this year, we ordered our usual tapas favorites. My wife was especially disappointed in the flavoring and quality of dishes that she's ordered and loved many times before. Moreover, efforts to cut corners were apparent: no more complimentary olives (I think this stopped after covid reopening), skimpy bread servings (five small slices in a basket), no ice with "ice water" (maybe they're striving to be more Continental), and especially parsimonious with fruit for our sangria (we orderderd a pitcher, which now costs $40, and were shocked that, despite asking several times for more diced fruit for our glasses, none ever came). In the end, we spent $150 with tip (no dessert) for a meal that used to cost $100, and felt kind of like we'd just dined at a downscale restaurant. Although I still like Meson Sabika, and would probably recommend it (somewhat tepidly), there are a lot of good restaurants out there who still make you feel like your getting a first class dining experience, which Meson Sabika failed to deliver.

My wife has celiacs so we dont eqt out often. So my 2 elder sisters flew in from england this week to share my fathers 88th on saturday and my 58th on june 1st and my wedding anniversary today. Big weekend for me and my fam. I had to mention to Our waiter Michael of my wifes celicas and although eas unaware was understanding . (My wife had called in advance to mention this already) so rhere were 7 of us and we ordered a LOT of dishes and Micheal spoon fed them to us in courses very well, however, the server had NO ifea my wife was celiac and i had to ask EVERY time ahe laid a plate down if it was GF. Everyone had a great time except mg wife who had to study the menu for what other of our guests had ordered to determine if they were GF. Also, some dishes came GF....except for the bread on rhe same plate???? So were we supposed to think they never touched or cross contaminated in rhe kitchen? Anyways, for a non GF diner and guests, perfect, for my celiac wife......i expect she would understandably tell ofher celiacs to beware . Of the 7 of us she was the on one that went home and ate dinner.what does that tell you.

Ordered campesina paella along with several hot and cold tapas to share. Pretty much can’t go wrong with anything you order. Service from Brian was impeccable as he was knowledgeable, friendly, great sense of humor and more importantly, knew when to come by and when to let us be (as it was our anniversary). They also gave us complimentary champagne for our special occasion. Looking forward to our next visit!

The portion sizes keep decreasing and the prices keep increasing. It is a shame because we used to come more often. We had a great server, Brian, who made us feel welcomed. We love this place but they need to pay attention to the price/value.

We visited for our anniversary. I have been here several times and this time the food was not as good as it has been in the past…especially with the hot plates being not very hot (like they were only slightly re-warmed). I’m also a huge bread fan and passed on the bread, as it tasted like yesterday’s stale bread. Service was a little slow, but friendly...also had to wait at least 15 minutes to be seated (we had reservations). Ambience was very nice.

The service was outstanding. Mallory our waitress did a Fabulous job!! The food was awesome! The only complaint was when booked asked for inside and was confirmed then the follow up call about our reservation asked agin the morning of the reservation and again I had asked for an inside table and was told no problem fyi was celebrating my wife’s birthday but when we got there they put us outside and hostess was very rude about having an inside table and was told there’s no guarantee for an table inside.

This restaurant is phenomenal! We usually book reservations for special occasions or just a friends night out. The environment is beautiful, the staff is immensely attentive and professional, and the Spanish tapas are the most delicious we've encountered.
