Great food, service was a little slow from the bar because they were so busy . Otherwise, excellent!
Ordered two teas and we had to use our forks to stir sweetener. My order came out but my partner's didn't. 10 minutes later it did after complaining. Some of the items on my plate were cold. Better service at a taco cabana.
This was our visit and will certainly be back!
The waiter did a fine job, but the food was totally off. The chips were stale and all broken. The steak was over cooked. The beans on the plate were ice cold. And when we told the expediter immediately after her dropping off the food, she just shrugged and walked away.
Overall, a disappointing first experience. And one we will not be repeating. Bummer. Definitely not what we were expecting from this restaurant or even Addison level restaurants.
This was my 2nd time to Meso Maya and unfortunately, there were just too many things not great about it so I likely won't return.
1) Drinks got low and we had to ask for refills
2) Ran out of Salsa and had to ask for me, I did not feel like our server was very attentive and it was a Sunday evening and relatively slow.
3) My Brussel Sprouts were just horrible. The seasoning was not very good and they were soggy. I ate one and pushed it aside. My server asked me if I wanted a 'togo' box to take them home? I didn't even eat them, he should have asked me if something was the matter.
4) There were 3 men in my party and the portions were stingy. I don't know if they are cutting back, but 2 of my guests left still hungry.
5) My coffee had to be made 3 times. First time it was luke warm, second time there were all kinds of coffee grounds in in it because the server said the bag broke. So, I gagged on a mouth full of grinds when I took a sip.
There are so many restaurants in the DFW Metroplex, average restaurants won't survive. I give this place 3 stars because it wasn't horrible.
Other than the waitress appearing to not enjoy her job and acting like she was totally bored….
Great food. Always consistent. Service is attentive. Atmosphere is fun.
Good came from out of town
We came to celebrate Father’s Day, the server was super nice and attentive, drinks were delicious, definitely recommend the avocado margarita and the carne asada plate!
Awesome experience for Fathers Day... Luby at the bar was great.....
Food was quite good. Service quite bad. Took us over one hour (literally) to get 2nd round of drinks for our table. Even worse than the delay was that our waiter tried blaming the delay on a busy bar (not even all of the seats were filled, nor was the restaurant full), did not express any apology when pressed, and they didn’t even comp the drinks once they finally came. Not sure if our waiter didn’t realize to complain the round (we noted this) or if he was not allowed to do so. Very poor experience in terms of service.
Father’s Day dinner
My sister and I met up here for dinner on a Friday night. It was super busy, super loud (in a good way), and the staff was amazing!! The service was immaculate, and the food, OMG!! We ordered brisket enchiladas and Mango Sangritas. Soooo good!! We will definitely be back!
Bar was backed up and my second bottle of beer showed up way after dinner and was declined.
They decided to close the restaurant early and rushed us out because “there weren’t enough people coming”
We had to go to the hostess to get them to send someone to help us. We had waited while numerous employees walked past without anyone offering to take care of us. For a 6:00 reservation with only one other table in the patio at the time is not an acceptable level of service.
We love coming here. The staff is amazing and we enjoy our experience every time.
Highly recommend this place for authentic Mexican food. Everything there is delicious and you can’t go wrong with any dish. Our waiter Johnathan was very kind and attentive. The music was at a good level and the ambience was very calming. Great for date night or for a casual dinner.
Great flavors and outstanding margaritas! Will be on my rotation of must-go-to restaurants.
The food was great but our waiter looked like she didn’t want to be there, was not helpful and was very snappy when we asked questions. Other than that we had a great time.
We had dinner here to celebrate my son’s graduation from high school. We have been here multiple times and have always found the food and service to be very good. This visit did not disappoint! Our server was very attentive and friendly and ensured we had everything we needed. Chips and drinks were kept full and the timing of our appetizers and entrees was perfect. The food was amazing, as always, and priced at a steal for the amount and quality of what is served. We highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!
We will not be back. The music was so loud that the waiter had to yell and we couldn’t hear each other across the table. We asked so politely if she could turn it down a bit and she flatly said no. Not oh let me ask or let me see. Just no. Then walked away without asking for drink order. She was extremely rude. We decided to move outside with a friend who happened to be there as well because he didn’t want to come in and sit in the loudness either. We waited and waited for the waitress to tell her but she never returned so I told the woman up front and we moved outside. Then she shows up with an attitude to be out server outside. The outside waitress walked up and said she would take over no problem so the rude waitress said something in Spanish and walked away. Then past all of this, the food took an hour to get to our table. Needless to say, we won’t be back. We are a very agreeable group and tried so hard to be polite. It was an awful dinner. Our waitress outside was nice but it took her so long to get to our table to get dirty plates out of the way that we set our plates on the empty table next to us because we had zero space. I’m talking none. Five people sitting at a table made for at most four and that’s pushing it. She told us not to put our plates on the empty table because they might be setting people there. It was an awful experience and the food isn’t that good.
Not a place I'd willingly visit again. Food was incredibly doused in lime juice...literally all my hubby and I could taste. Tiny drink pours. Neither of us ate even 1/2 of our meal.
Not sure what went wrong. MM is a favorite.
Overall value was good. Service was fair. The waiter seemed new and there was a little bit of a language barrier. Didn't care for the dark lighting for an early Sunday brunch. I will try again.
Excellent food and service. One of the best Mexican fancy restaurants there is!
Food and service were great.
Delicious food and drinks! Will go back!
We had a large group of 12 and were accommodated well. Everybody loved their appetizers and meals. To us the booming base was a bit loud but was a festive atmosphere. We are all 55+ so the base is more noticeable to us as far as talking. Overall very good experience and would recommend for sure!
The waiter keep touching my friends which they didn’t ask for, so that made the experience uncomfortable for them. They were slow with drinks and we had to ask the waiter multiple times where our drinks were. The food was okay for some but not everyone liked it.
Food was great, but service was a little off at this location. However, the manager Luis was great. He was very understanding and wanted to make things better. He did accommodate us by giving us a complimentary drink and offering to provide better services through his staff.
Seated in time. Food was great. Waiter needs coaching.
The food was great.. except there being a hair in our basket of chips. But everything else was wonderful.
Service was horrible. I could understand if they were super busy. But multiple times I caught our server behind the bar on his phone. And it took over an hour to receive our main plates after we had placed the order.
Mother’s Day Lunch!
Great Food, Great service. Recommend the Carne Asada and Mexican Martini.
It was very nice experience just the music was kind of loud 😳🤔😎
Jasmine was great! Great food too!
We had a large group but the wait staff handled it very well.
