All in all the experience was very good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends visiting from out of town. All the employees were courteous and very helpful. Great job!
Very accommodating staff, and the bar staff was exceptional. We stepped away from our dining table to watch a football game at the bar area and hadn’t realized we were there past closing time. The staff never once made us feel rushed to leave, on the contrary they asked multiple times if there was anything else we needed. Will definitely come again if in the area.
Had a great time! Food and service were exceptional!
The food was excellent and the service was awesome!
We were a group of ten on a busy night and service was very good.
The staff was very friendly. Coming back for sure
Meso Maya was a great restaurant. They were very polite and helped in every way possible. They made my proposal to my fiance great and made sure the eating experience was just as great.
Server wasn’t very friendly nor attentive but the food was good.
1st time dining at this Addison location. Salsa was a bit different from the downtown location but still very good. I just noticed immediately it was not exactly the same recipe.
Overall, great experience, per usual, when dining at Meso Maya.
The food was excellent and our server did an outstanding job. He was very good at explaining the menu (we had never been there before).
We enjoyed our first experience here. The food was tasty, the pastel de molas was to die for! Drinks prices a little high. Great menu variety. Happy customers overall.
Food and drinks were fantastic!! Will definitely be back.
Maybe I’m just old, but the music was so loud, it was difficult to have a conversation. Food and service were excellent.
Very nice the waiter was awesome
We had a great experience! Food was fabulous, service great and reasonably priced. A little too loud, but everything else was great!
Margaritas are overpriced and not as good as I make at home - I had forgotten that from last time, and the entrees are a bit pricey too, but the food is very good. Overall we enjoyed our evening, but a $200 dinner for a party of 6 is a little more than I expected.
Ruby the bartender is AMAZING!!!!
Always the best! Food is top notch and service is always on point
Very solid authentic Mexican food. It was a very busy evening and I want to commend the waitstaff for their outstanding work.
Great food, service was a little slow from the bar because they were so busy . Otherwise, excellent!
Ordered two teas and we had to use our forks to stir sweetener. My order came out but my partner's didn't. 10 minutes later it did after complaining. Some of the items on my plate were cold. Better service at a taco cabana.
This was our visit and will certainly be back!
The waiter did a fine job, but the food was totally off. The chips were stale and all broken. The steak was over cooked. The beans on the plate were ice cold. And when we told the expediter immediately after her dropping off the food, she just shrugged and walked away.
Overall, a disappointing first experience. And one we will not be repeating. Bummer. Definitely not what we were expecting from this restaurant or even Addison level restaurants.
This was my 2nd time to Meso Maya and unfortunately, there were just too many things not great about it so I likely won't return.
1) Drinks got low and we had to ask for refills
2) Ran out of Salsa and had to ask for me, I did not feel like our server was very attentive and it was a Sunday evening and relatively slow.
3) My Brussel Sprouts were just horrible. The seasoning was not very good and they were soggy. I ate one and pushed it aside. My server asked me if I wanted a 'togo' box to take them home? I didn't even eat them, he should have asked me if something was the matter.
4) There were 3 men in my party and the portions were stingy. I don't know if they are cutting back, but 2 of my guests left still hungry.
5) My coffee had to be made 3 times. First time it was luke warm, second time there were all kinds of coffee grounds in in it because the server said the bag broke. So, I gagged on a mouth full of grinds when I took a sip.
There are so many restaurants in the DFW Metroplex, average restaurants won't survive. I give this place 3 stars because it wasn't horrible.
Other than the waitress appearing to not enjoy her job and acting like she was totally bored….
Great food. Always consistent. Service is attentive. Atmosphere is fun.
Good came from out of town
We came to celebrate Father’s Day, the server was super nice and attentive, drinks were delicious, definitely recommend the avocado margarita and the carne asada plate!
Awesome experience for Fathers Day... Luby at the bar was great.....
Food was quite good. Service quite bad. Took us over one hour (literally) to get 2nd round of drinks for our table. Even worse than the delay was that our waiter tried blaming the delay on a busy bar (not even all of the seats were filled, nor was the restaurant full), did not express any apology when pressed, and they didn’t even comp the drinks once they finally came. Not sure if our waiter didn’t realize to complain the round (we noted this) or if he was not allowed to do so. Very poor experience in terms of service.
Father’s Day dinner
My sister and I met up here for dinner on a Friday night. It was super busy, super loud (in a good way), and the staff was amazing!! The service was immaculate, and the food, OMG!! We ordered brisket enchiladas and Mango Sangritas. Soooo good!! We will definitely be back!
Bar was backed up and my second bottle of beer showed up way after dinner and was declined.
They decided to close the restaurant early and rushed us out because “there weren’t enough people coming”
We had to go to the hostess to get them to send someone to help us. We had waited while numerous employees walked past without anyone offering to take care of us. For a 6:00 reservation with only one other table in the patio at the time is not an acceptable level of service.
We love coming here. The staff is amazing and we enjoy our experience every time.
Highly recommend this place for authentic Mexican food. Everything there is delicious and you can’t go wrong with any dish. Our waiter Johnathan was very kind and attentive. The music was at a good level and the ambience was very calming. Great for date night or for a casual dinner.
