My wife and I really enjoyed our meals. She got a vegetable burrito and I had the steak/chicken fajitas. It's obvious that they pay great attention to detail in both their ingredients, preparation, and presentation. The service was also great, how waiter was always nearby but never pushy. We will definitely be back soon.
The Mariachi band was everything. One guy played the violin!! The food was really good. The drinks, even better. The tropical sangria was awesome...very light and summery. The peach sangria was even better!
We went here for the first time and we loved it. The food was amazing, the servers could have been a little friendlier but the food and drinks definitely made up for that. It's loud but it didn't bother us too much. We'll definitely be going back!
Mesita is my favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is delicious, & extremely fresh. Their table side guacamole is the best I ever tasted! They also make exceptional drinks, not to mention, the service is also excellent!
Very loud we could not talk to each other
I come here all the time love the food drinks and the staff is very attentive
The best Mexican food in Long Island!!
Good vibe, service and food. Way too loud!!!
TEN OUTTA TEN AS ALWAYS, LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT. LOVE U MESITA
Mesita is a very cute place. Our seats were good and the food was outstanding. We had the tableside guacamole, vegetable tacos and shrimp fajitas. The only disappointment was the margaritas. Mine was okay but my friends tasted awful. The waitress was nice, but hard to find when we needed her. I would go back, but next time I’ll try the Sangria!
Excellent tacos and service for Taco Tuesday. Very loud and hard to talk with live DJ playing, but good music.
The floor smelled, which did not appetite to eat. The service was slow, however gratuity was already included. It was an embarrassment as I am known to pick out nice restuarant.
Love this place. Guac is phenomenal and the fish tacos is 2 die 4.. A must go.
My first time there. The food was very good, the presentation on the plate was good. More of a younger persons place to dine. Several young men were wearing baseball caps. Going out to dinner on a Saturday night, you don't need a baseball hat. You won't see that in other dining establishments. I'll probably go back there again.
Food was fantastic. The place is loud, but that was not a problem. The service was ok. However the food was so good it did not matter as much.
Solid choice! Great food and cocktails!
Great food. Great server and table busting. Live music and beautiful restaurant.
Love the food, but was a bit loud for a Tuesday night.
liked the food, service, ambiance. Only negative is that it was so LOUD in there we could barely hear one another across the table. My husband couldn't even hear the server ask for his drink order. That might be the only reason I wouldn't return . Though it was a Saturday night, maybe another night it wouldn't be so loud
Food was absoloutely delicious, as were drinks! We had a few appetizers (the queso fundido was out of this world!) and everyone was satisfied with their entrees (larger side portions) and absolutely tasty and cooked to perfection.
The restaurant was lively and everyone was having a wonderful time.
It was not excessively packed, so the only disappointing thing was the feeling of being continuosly rushed from the moment we stepped in. Big turn off from
Our server :(
Came here for a birthday dinner. Food and service is always great!
Really enjoy this place most of the time. Good food and friendly service. I just wish they wouldn't have such loud music in the restaurant itself. They have random nights where there's a dj and it's just too loud to eat and talk without screaming. Makes me not want to eat here.
Great food, good portions and our server, Eric was fantastic!!
A friend of ours recommend Mesita. We decided to give it a try for an early father's day celebration. I'm glad that we did. We had a good time. The food was great. ERICK AND THE STAFF WERE GREAT. Thank you
We went to Mesitas for my birthday celebration with friends on a Friday night. They had live music which I loved at first but then realized was way too loud bc we couldn’t hear each other speak at all. I think if it was just a few notches lower in volume it would have been perfect.
Food was amazing and so was the service. I would absolutely go back there again for date night and a family dinner. Prob family dinner during the week so it’s not as loud with the live music.
Great food and drinks. Its a popular spot Friday and Saturday with love musicians. So make reservations or you will wait for a long time.
Great food and service . Carlos is a he best server. Would repeat to try every single item on menu.
Brunch was bangin!
Always a favorite. Never disappointed. Until next time!
The food was okay nothing to get excited about. The place itself is very nice
The food is delicious! You must try the Street Corn it's beyond! The service is friendly and lively, the table side guacamole is a MUST! Fun ambiance and great music.
Food was good..Weeknight, maybe 5 tables occupied..service was amateurish and unprofessional..
.brought over our main courses 1 minute after our guacamole was prepared; did not replenish chips..Finally asked us if everything was okay 5 minutes after we were done eating..Zero coordination;May try one more time based on the food only.
The place is good for happy hour . The food was ok a little expensive and not much food but is ok because I do not want to eat much oh take food home so if you watching your food is ok
This was our first time visiting Mesita. What greets(?) you immediately is the high noise level. The space is one large rectangle with a bar running half way down one side and tables and booths scattered throughout. Piped music and diners compete with virtually nonexistent soundproofing. Service was very attentive and helpful. The Mexican food was tasty and probably better than other Mexican restaurants in the area. Prices were fair. If you’re looking to eat and drink and don’t mind not having an audible conversation, then give Mesita a try.
Mesita is not a good value. The fajita dinner comes on a tray divided into many small portions. The size of the protein portion is a small square metal plate within the much larger tray, getting comparable billing to the sides, like the guacamole and sour cream. At every other Mexican restaurant I have been to, the main portion of the fajitas have been on a large sizzling oval plate. The sides were kept separate. Perhaps this is a way for the restaurant to save money on the more expensive items, like shrimp or beef, but it represents incredibly poor value. Furthermore, the drinks are heavily overpriced and pushed at every opportunity. This is a place for drinks and snacks, maybe brunch, but it does not compare to other choices in the area in terms of getting what you pay for.
Great! Just WAY too loud. Like, hurt your ears, concert loud music, on a Tuesday, early. No bueno.
SUPER loud & rude staff. A third person came to meet my friend & I & the staff was absolutely psychotic about letting us pull up a chair for them.
Great food and choices but wish they had hard tacos
We have a great time!
