Mesero - Victory Park
It was my 30th birthday and i brought a group of 14 in. We had to go find the waitress to ask her to take our order for drinks, for food and again for our bill. They didn’t tell us they’d added 20% gratuity. Awful disappointing experience.
The noise level is almost deafening!! Need to find a suction
The sever seemed overwhelmed it took sometime to place an order then to get it. It was a Friday night. Would like to see more help.
The key to the best experience here is to go early before it gets crowded and too noisy for conversation. Third time here but first time where we could hear each other....nice!
Excellent food and service for Mother’s Day! We had a table of 14 and they still provided great service
I had combination number two which consisted of a chicken enchilada and cheese enchilada with rice and choice of beans. I also had a skinny margarita (it's pricy but you get your money's worth because it was pretty strong)! Also had coffee and carrot cake...everything was delicious, the atmosphere was perfect for a girl's night out and the waitress also helped us with our post-dinner plans. Overall great night!
I was seated at the back by the kitchen. Technically it was a bar but not quite. As I was dining alone it seemed like I was seated out of the way. The food was luke warm and bland. All in all, I didn’t like this restaurant.
The food was amazing especially the queso! The staff were helpful with all my questions and surprisingly the white rice was so delicious!
It was Cinco De Mayo so they were very busy and appeared to be understaffed for lunch and a big crowd for the Stars game. We had trouble just getting water and drinks and began to worry about making the game on time. However the Manager came over and quickly took care of our orders and personally brought out the waters and drinks and made sure we got the bill quickly after the food came. Normally very good service, so even with the hiccup the Manager came through and made everything work out on time.
Great atmosphere! Very good vibe and great food. Definitely a great spot to go before a game.
It’s a nice restaurant, pretty pricey though. No brunch specials, happy hour, or cinco de Mayo specials. But the food is good. It was pretty empty in there for a Saturday at lunch.
The food and service were truly incredible. The noise level however, was pretty bad. I don’t consider it a negative experience, but just be prepared.
Great halibut and frozen rose beverage. Service was fast too.
Since when did restaurants start allowing dogs inside?
Yes - there was a lady in the restaurant with a small black dog...for quite a while.
She came in and talked to the hostess for about 15m then proceeded to sit at the bar to get a drink.
This is inexcusable.
I’m a dog person btw - and I would never dare take it inside the restaurant.
Absolutely disgusted at this.
Was at Mesero before a Stars game. Friendly staff that did a great job seating quickly and checking in frequently, despite the crowd. Very accommodating as we arrived late and had another issue that I won’t go into detail on, but I appreciated their help in both cases. Food was great—one of the highlights was actually the super spicy sauce with the corn tortilla chips. First time at this location and will definitely return.
Celebrating Easter..Chuey was great!!
We met some old friends for brunch and it was delightful
Close to work. Great food, great service, great value.
Party of 6. 4:45 Saturday night reservation. The hostess sat us at a table with 5 chairs and was more concerned about handing us menus than finding another chair even though a couple of us were standing waiting. She wouldn’t even pull a chair over from the empty table next to ours and the restaurant had few parties in it. She went in search of a chair. We finally asked if we could pull one from an empty table and she replace that one. Her attitude was quite rude as if we were inconveniencing her. Then evidently they were having a meeting with all the wait staff so it took 10-15 mins before anyone came and took drink orders. Are your customers not more important than your meeting? Do love the unique cocktails and the food. Think we’ll go to a different location next time.
I really enjoyed my visit to this still newly opened Mesero. Great ambience, and friendly service. Perhaps service could have been a little bit more attentive; but it was genuine nevertheless. The food is above average and will satisfy most of those seeking their fix of TexMex cuisine. I will not hesitate to go back. Great to have Mesero in the Victory Park neighborhood.
Good food as usual, but VERY loud. You have to scream to hear people at your table. We went on a Saturday night.
This is a hidden gem. I was quite impressed with the affordable pricing as well as the excellent service me and my date had at Mesero. We chose the place because it was right next door to the movie theater where we wanted to see our movie. The parking was nice as you could choose the valet right outside or there is an open parking lot less than one block away for just $6.00. I would highly recommend Mesero to someone that is looking for amazing food for a great price!
We are so happy that there is a Mersero in our neighborhood!!! The best cheese enchiladas anywhere! The only reason that I didn't give 5 stars for overall rating was that the noise level is out of control.
We love Mesero and have been to other locations. I put this location on top of the list and will definitely be back. Great everything!
The food is delicious, and affordable for this neighborhood. The drinks are fantastic. The service is fast and friendly.
The noise was way too loud. The tacos (asada and shrimp) lacked flavor and the asada was tough. We’ve been to the one at Legacy West and the food was good. Not sure why this experience was different, but it wasn’t nearly as good. Even the Brussel sprouts weren’t as flavorful.
The venue is great (high energy) and the food is great. The food service was super, but we had a reservation and had to wait nearly an hour for our table, and the reservations desk seemed chaotic. I felt sorry for the hostess. Perhaps when it's a big concert night, there could be better managing for the volume.
We experienced a huge problem with the seating hostess not honoring reservations. The restaurant was packed with many people walking in...the system seemed to be whoever smoozed
the most received priority in seating. They should not offer reservations if they do not intend to honor them!
Good food and good service, just be careful if there is an event at the AAC because there will be a long wait, even if you have a reservation.
Entirely way too noisy. Not enjoyable at all. Unable to carry on a conversation with my husband. Noisiest restaurant I’ve ever eaten at.
Everything was great! However, the noise level was a little extreme.
Food was excellent, service was good, a little noisy.
Excellent food and service, great atmosphere
Pre-concert meal... so very full. Very loud but will return soon during a non-peak time.
It was great and all of my friends loved it! We saw one of the real housewives of Dallas there, too, which was fun! Perfect place to dine pre-concert!
Food is great. People are nice. It is IMPOSSIBLE to have a conversation, or even have the servers know what you're ordering because it's TOO LOUD!!! We had 3 service miscues simply because the waiter couldn't hear us and we couldn't hear him. It is painfully loud, as in hurts your ears. I feel sorry for the employees...if they work for any length of time they will have permanent hearing problems.
Rico is our man!
