Mesero - Prestonwood

You just can’t go wrong with Mesero. Great food and perfect location.
Ish runs a great restaurant. And Raphael took good care of us. Great night.
Loved the new sail shades on the patio. Could have done without mowers on golf course but still a great place to sit outside
Great dinner right before the movies!!
Best Ceviche EVER!!!
Typically great service; however, today (11/10/19) was really slow.
Great Friday night atmosphere. Drinks, food and service were excellent.
High quality across the board!
All the food dishes we ordered were outstanding, the cake we had for dessert was melt in your mouth outstanding. The service was also very good considering it was the lunch rush.
We like Mesero but I always feel the waiters are rushing me. I had the same feeling at their previous restaurants Taco Diner. Why are you rushing me on Tues evening about 8? There is no line of waiting patrons.
Almost to crowed. Table where too close... I understand it is Saturday, but it is not good practice.
We usually get good service but Saturday we did not. The waiter took our drink order but was in a hurry and didn’t ask for our appetizer order. We finally stoped him and ordered appetizers. We had to catch someone to ask for Splenda and got it. It took a while to place our entree orders. When we got our meals we had to wait a while before we found someone to get us salt. I don’t know if you were understaffed but we hadn’t ever had such slow service before.
Very good food and a great setting! Mesero has a large and varied menu of food and drinks, to serve a variety of customers.
We really think it’s great how the staff cover for each other making sure that if your particular service person hasn’t come by the table within just a few short minutes after you have been seated, another service person makes sure to take your drink order!
Delicious food. The patio was fabulous. Gorgeous view on a perfect evening.
we made reservations for 7:45 pm - we got to mesero right at 7:45 pm......and then waited until 8:30 for our table!
Amazing food, great quality, attentive server, nice ambiance, and the cherry on top was the dessert samples at the end!
Usually a solid place but last couple times has been pretty weak. No excuse for cold food when the place is half full. Pretty marginal.
Excellent food and service. Our waitress was VERY accommodating for my special dietary needs.
Having a very nice evening celebrating a friends birthday. We told the waiter and asked for a piece of cake . There was some confusion and he brought 6 shots of tequila. We explained we didn’t order them , he disagreed and didn’t want to take them back. We asked for the manager and only then did he take them back . He also charged us for the cake! We had spent over $300 for dinner. He spoiled what had been a great night. Disappointing.
Always good no disappoints here
Serving staff A+Willing nicely to take a picture of group. Treated elders w-high respect . Thank you
I love this place for everything but the food. With them being owned by Mi Cocina where the food and drinks are great, this isn't. I had the worst bloody mary I've ever had. Food just not that good,
It was anazing
Always consistently good food. Ceviche is wonderful as an appetizer or meal. And the 5 leches cake at the end for dessert is amazing.
Everything was great
Very nice restaurant, but the food quality was mediocre. Chicken was too tough, the queso was cold and too thick.
Drinks cost was the same as the food cost. Food was also too inexpensive for the amount of food we received.
Great server - let her know we loved her service!
I always enjoy coming here but Service was super slow considering there was only 3 maybe 4 other tables. Our server seemed confused. But food was good as always.
Our reservation was 745 and we were seating right away. It was a friday night and it was pretty busy but our server was quick on getting our drinks and food. We were in and out in less than an hour!
We have just relocated from Seattle to Dallas and still getting used to the area. Mesero definitely did not disappoint. Shrimp Ceviche was amazing! And the drinks did not disappoint . We will definitely return
Yes, I would recommend, but with the caveat that it is very noisy! If you are looking for liveliness and good times, come, but if you want an intimate, quiet conversation, unless you eat outside, you won't be able to achieve that inside, unfortunately. Food was good, service was also good; it's just the noise level that was so loud, I could barely hear the person who was sitting right next to me.
I very much enjoyed my first visit to Mesero. I had the Salmon which was quite good as was the service. Nice patios for sure though it was a tad hot that day.
Girls night out
I made a reservation quite some time ago for a business dinner. We were not seated in the main dining room, but were asked to sit at the table at the entry to the bar — arguably the worst table in the house. I am okay with a bad table when I make last minute reservations, but that was not the case. We asked to be moved, so we were moved to another table in the bar next to a very loud group of ladies. Service was terrible. I had to ask the waiter to come and take our order after more than 20 minutes. My water glass was never refilled during the meal. It was a huge disappointment after my previous visit to Mesero-Prestonwood. I was embarrassed to have hosted this business meal. Maybe Mesero-Prestonwood is better suited for margaritas with friends.
Food was very uninspiring and over priced. Meso Maya is better food and value.
Food good... service just ok.
Service was almost non-existent. And when the server did come by the table, she didn't stop and ask if we needed anything! It was so bad it was almost comical!!
The service issue was a shame because everything else was good. Atmosphere, drinks and food (when we finally got what we ordered). We'll give it another try but hope we get a different server!
We eat at Mesero’s on Beltline/Prestonwood about 6 times a year. We enjoy it not by one specific attribute but its nice overall combination of food, value, service and atmosphere. More often than not, the service is attentive and friendly. Sometimes the service is even excellent as it was this visit but we have had terrible service , but infrequently.
The food is consistently good relative to other Mexican restaurants at the same price point. The venue is attractive with a nice bar and clean bathrooms. We ate inside this visit due to the heat, but their patio view/-atmosphere is one of the best in dallas since it overlooks a golf course (and not the typical patio overlooking a parking lot or busy road like Preston Rd. I never understood why a restaurant owner would not at least put up landscaping/ wall or some kind of camouflage from the parking lot to enhance their business potential).
Wish it was cooler and we could have sat on the patio...the noise level inside was out of control...plus the tables are set up basically on top of each other.
Would only return if I could sit outside- we could barely talk to each other during dinner
Service and food fantastic but please spread out the tables
