Wished we lived in El Paso so we could go back regularly. Had a fantastic lunch. Shrimp tacos were the best! The tuna tacos and their presentation were spectacular. Service was spot on.
Happy birthday
Really good servers. Good food. Good ambient.
Food and service was great but was a bit expensive.
It is a good place from dinner. Kind of old school classy.
Great server and food was on point.
We were there for Valentines and there was a large crowd being so loud. We couldn’t even hear each other talk. Very disappointing. It was also very cold in there and not many options for vegetarian.
The restaurant was freezing, the food was meh, and the waiter who was super nice kept forgetting drinks and food, overall the experience was meh the lobster was flavorless, probably won’t go back especially for Valentine’s.
My wife loved the restaurant
Excellent service and good was great. The server was very attentive of us.
Sat us in the wrong section. I had reservations for high seating. Server was good. My wife’s meal, pork belly carbonara, was awful. Made her sick. Won’t be returning.
Tables are tiny you'll have enough room for 2 plates and a glass of water and your table is already cluttered. I ordered the rack of lamb medium and got that thing super bloody. Lastly the dessert they are ok nothing to loose your mind over but from the time it took from when we ordered a chocolate cake and a tiramisu it took 20min to get to the table mind you the lack of space from previous plates and drinks. Over hyped over priced , HARD PASS.
Great food! Service was excellent by Ricardo
Great food, good music, fantastic drinks
Great food, great wine list, wonderful ambiance! Always a good time.
We had the stuffed jalapenos as an appetizer. Steaks with veggies and potatoes for dinner!
Birthday dinner for a friend. First time dining here; great food and service. Will definitely be back
Food was great and the drinks were tasty!
Excellent restaurant, excellent staff
When we arrived at 4pm for Happy Hour, we were greeted by the hostess. Very pleasant. We wanted to sit in the open patio area. She informed us that smoking was permitted on the patio. We are not smokers, but said it wouldn't bother us. We got to choose what table we wanted on the patio. The Server was very efficient and kept checking with us the entire time we were there. It was downhill from there. We ordered several appetizers while we were there. Chile Con Queso was bland. No flavor, tasted like it came from an opened can of Velvetta. Bacon Wrapped Jalapenos were good. The Nacho Tower was just plain bad. Brisket meat tasted like it was 10 days old - dry. We didn't even finish it.
However, the worst part of the visit were two men that were sitting a few tables from us. They were on their speaker phones non-stop. 1 of them left after an hour, so we thought it would get better. However, the other person stayed for another hour - walking all around the patio area, on his speaker phone talking so loud, we could almost hear the the entire conversations. None of the staff asked him to keep the level down a bit. They just ignored him, as he walked non-stop around the patio.
Based on the quality level of the food and the overall experience - we weren't impressed at all, and would not come back and would not recommend this restaurant.
Beautiful dining area, warm welcoming elegance. Food of the highest quality prepared with care and imagination.
Friendly yet respectful service made this a special evening.
Price consistent with what one would expect from a restaurant like this one.
Will return should we be in El Paso in the future.
The restaurant itself is beautiful, clearly a significant amount of time, attention went into the décor. The service is borderline abysmal. Hostesses were eating at the front desk, and stopped before seating us to eat french fries. Despite requesting a dinning room table when making my reservation, they took us outside and we're sensitive to smoke. She then pointed around the restaurant and asked "what do you want?". We were then taken to a table right next to another party of 5, when the dining room was 80% vacant (read: we were the 4th party in the whole dinning room). Oh, we were also asked if we wanted a cocktail or wine menu. They're disposable menus, why would that even be a question? It's a date night, of course we want a drink.
Once we finally received a socially-distanced table, the service from wait staff was much more on par with a fine(r) dining restaurant. The waiter (Tomas) was prompt, and much more professional than the hostess staff.
Food was amazing, we ordered the Steak Diane and a side of lobster mac. Plenty of food to split between the two of us. We also started with bacon wrapped jalepenos, which were 5 stars. Would definitely go back for the food, but the service and general coordination of staff really need some changes.
Overpriced.
I was disappointed on my most recent outing at this restaurant. For years this was my favorite place to go. The last couple of times have been disappointing however. The service and attention has clearly decreased. Not sure if they had to make drastic changes because of this pandemic. I really hope this place bounces back.
The ribeye steak ordered was charred and had no flavor, plus it was too fatty for the cut! Not worth the money spent!
After fully reviewing the restaurant online and making our reservations within the hours dictated we arrived on time, the hostess and host never told us the kitchen was closing in 30 min. Our appetizer took 45 min to come out and the service was poor.
Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Especially for the cost of the food and drinks.... the service could’ve at least been top notch. But it wasn’t.
It had been years since I had been to MSG and it was fabulous.
The food was amazing. Our server was beyond amazing. Best service by far!!!
It took over 5 min to be greeted by our server. And the bread came out with the meal? Is that normal? Other than that it was an amazing dinning exp.
My wife and I visited this restaurant on Feb 16th. The atmosphere was a very relaxing type atmosphere. We started with drinks and crab cakes appetizer. Very good. But the problem began when we didn't see our waiter. He would return on occasion to check on us, too infrequent. You might think well it could have been busy, but it was not. He did not converse with us, nor did he make any recommendations. As for the food, let's just say it did not match the price at all! The presentation was good, but that's about it. The filet mignon was ok. I was expecting an OMG steak experience. The lobster tail arrived way before the butter did. So I really didn't get to enjoy the lobster tail. You're probably thinking that I should have talked to the server. I would have, but as I previously stated, rarely did we see him. Very poor service. The only positive experience were the drinks and the dessert. I highly recommend the Creme Brule Vanilla Bean Cheesecake. Would I come back....No!
Great service, the table was set beautifully, and the speed of service was awesome!
We are from out of town and we had heard many great things about Mesa Street Grill. It met our high expectations and is now on our list of places we will return to soon.
Slow service , waiter was lost most of the time . There was a 40 min gap in food arriving between our kids and ours .
Everything was great, specially on Feb-14th, the ambience was really good, Love was in the air.
We had courtesy of the dessert by the waiter, so in general really good. Highly recommended.
We have eaten at this restaurant many times and always enjoyed the food and service. But this Valentines experience was terrible. The regular menu was nit available and instead a special menu with higher prices was given. Then poor wait help and long wait time for the food. I had ordered a meat dish and it was tough.
Love this restaurant! Was a great place to bring our family and friends!
Excellent experience for Valentine’s Day!!!!
Not satisfied at all with the Valentines menu. Poor quality, especially for the price point.
Amazing meal perfect for date night or anytime.
My second trip here in a week. Hands down the best steak house in El Paso.. Great Atmopshere and excellent service. Wine list is top shelf..make sure you stop here for a meal next time your in town.
