As always, wonderful food. The seared ahi is absolutely outstanding, can’t be beat. Hope to return this vacation, Daniel was our server and rook great care of us!
This is the place for good food and friendly service. Better dining is limited on the Big Island so don’t pass on this one. Great steak and local fresh fish with local farm veggies, nice wine selection too.
The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. We drove 2 hours just for the opaka paka and ahi.
Lunch was wonderful! The ahi poke was the best. So was the Kalua pork saimin. Looked forward for two years to their amazing Mai Tais. Our server Kathryn was a delight. Going back again this trip.
We go just for the roasted potatoes and short ribs

Service was absolutely excellent, food was unforgettable. We loved our visit and is one of the most memorable stops on our trip to the big island.
Peter Merriman is the Alice Waters of Hawaii. 30 years ago, he was amongst the first island-based chefs to emphasize local ingredients cooked with multi-cultural influences. Even today, in this town of 10,000, this kitchen produces what's arguably the best food on the island of Hawaii. It isn't always as consistent as it could be, nor are the beef and lamb as local as they could be, but we're always happy to eat there.
Everything was excellent! We went for lunch...but we're already going back again tonight for dinner.
The meal was wonderful...food was very good.
Disappointed,though, that our server seemed distracted. She brought me the wrong entree and fouled up our coffee order! Hmmm, a bad night,maybe? Anyway, it set us off a bit and influenced the evening some.
